Fair enough. I'm working on a review of the Pro-Blade, which is very compact and cool, but doesn't address your need. But on the topic of the Pro-Blade, did you see the Kondor Blue Pro-Blade SSD Handle at NAB? It's actually a Pro-Blade reader built into a camera handle. Again this doesn't help you, but there is some interesting innovation being done with that line of drives.
Good question. I think G-Technology is completely converted over to SanDisk Professional, but a lot of the products still carry the G-DRIVE and G-RAID branding. Though the newer products seem to be switching to the PRO branding. So I think they will keep the G-Drive branding as long as they are supporting drives of that form factor. The Pro branding is for the NVMe style of drives as far as I can tell.
I’ve used two of the 2TB blades with a USB-C reader. They are awesome, and I really like using them. They are also really robust and fast.
No SATA drive option🤦 for all of us with Atomos gear - Sandisk missed a huge money making opportunity by not offering a SATA/3.5” drive option🤦🤦🤦

Are they going to remove the G drive naming completely soon?
