@@Daddyanime711 JWKs, gateron, Akko, and others that aren't as good. I'm also not talking about smoothness. These are all very smooth contact based switches, but they're boring, and I just don't get the hype. If you've tried one linear, you've tried them all.
@@claymournesden8705 those linears are pretty basic I don't like the offering from them either but one linear that I do love and have a big difference from others is cherry MX blacks, many high end builds use them and they have a super unique sound to them and they also have a unique feel as in there is a bit of scratch, ofc you can always diamond polish it and it won't be scrachy at all, and there are also Frankenstein switches like BCP or things like cherry topped switches or long pole stems in cherry housings there's a in the linear world you have not tried, also the brands youve tried are the most basic of the basic, akko is mid af, jwk is basic and all of their switches are similar and gateron is pretty basic too, so I reccomend you try more linears😀, but I myself also enjoy tactiles too.

If I need to put in hours of work to make a switch decent, I hate to break it to you but it's just a bad switch. Cherry blacks sound the way they do because they're made from nylon. You can get modern nylon switches, granted they won't sound EXACTLY the same, but pretty close, and without the trademark cherry scratch from the get-go.
