@@Ozthebestdog no, you can still void crit any teleporter boss (fun fact, "boss enemies" are called champions) with behemoth, like the video demonstrated
this was the first red item I've ever gotten x) Even as an acrid main, everytime I get it the game just becomes more fun, it's such a cool and fun item. definitely my fave, and it's cool to see it has alot of tech (and double procs on acrid spit... :O)
finding the double proc interaction while making the video, and then discovering that so many abilities we use all the time are actually doing it was probably my favorite part about making this video. Even if you think you know everything about the game, it'll always surprise you
as soon as regenerating scrap became a thing i messed around with brilliant behemoth and command. stacked 100 of them in a single run and covered the entire map with each explosion it was great.
Just wanted to say, that your vid popped on my suggested by random chance, since Ive never actually watched in depths breakdowns of RoR mechanics/ items, played it mostly casually and...i love it! Keep up the good work, its awesome!
That video was, as Mr. Torgue would put it, "(like a guitar solo) Nicely doooooone!". On a more serious note, good video. I knew about most of the tech, but the double proc interactions surprised me.
I had to rewatch the skill transfers section because the song Old Friends takes me away every single time lol. But this is some really cool stuff, good job documenting all this!!
Your music choice for this vid is amazing Starjumps such an amazing song and I love Transistor's ost so much. The whole vid is sick too all these interactions are really interesting and turn an already fun item into an incredible tool with the right setup!
According to the wiki, it deals "a bonus 60% TOTAL damage to nearby enemies". Total damage is based off the attack that triggered it so why do the bouncing attacks deal damage from it? Since the bounce does 0 damage by default. Also why do the void glasses proc from the explosion if the explosion has no proc coefficient? Amazing video btw thanks a lot.
The behemoth proc of the bouncing effect takes the maximum damage the bouncing skill deals to calculate the behemoth explosion. So for commando grenades it'll check whatever the max damage that grenade will deal and multiply that by 0.6. I could have explained that better in the video.
@EmberTheCatgirl unsure of its coefficient, but I know the glasses can proc off of polyute(the void ukulele), void sent flame, and plasma shrimp. Needle tick miiiight be able to? But I've never witnessed that one first hand. But it's also worth noting all of those effects except maybe needle tick will also proc behemoth
@@dalekin3177 I'd check out the proc coefficients link in the description. If an item or skill isn't on there, it has no coefficient. Needletick is still a "damage over time" so no coefficient behind it :)
A lot of this is common sense stuff. But the explosion radius shrinking with proc coefficient, the double proc, and the bounce proc is the best thing to learn. Glad you talked about all of it. =3 Yes, I'm glad you talked about the obvious stuff too. The grenade combo is one I have to try out soon.

10/10 vid, man! Educational, straight to the point, no bullshittery, and easy to understand. And the constant Mr. Torgue jokes show you are a true man of culture
Great vid! Even though most of the stuff can't be applied in usual games (without you intentionally getting Artifact of Command to play with Behemoth), it's still awesome. And some nieche implications can even be useful: Merc mark-build becomes straight up insane and Desperado is cool as well (and no, Commando's grenade still sucks and we won't take it for a chance for Behemoth).
my thought for why it double procs (at least in some instances, not sure if this applies for all). Looking at Captain's taser, we know it procs on bounces. Maybe they count the hit as a sticking "bounce", and then it procs again with the hit's damage. Since the game tracks hits and bounces differently (as shown best through the frag grenade) that makes the most sense to me, and might explain why the scrap launcher, acrid's spit, and others double proc (one for the projectile hitting the enemy, and the other for the damage of the attack hitting the enemy). My theory falls short on artificer's double proc by hitting close to the enemy but not hitting the enemy, because I would have assumed it worked the other way around...
damn the work put into that was nice! But I was shocked that you have like 1k subs..wtf? Keep it up, you have a bright future! Ofc I subbed myself as well.
Theres actually so many more involving items. Not having a voice and not feeling like apart of the community is why ive personally never said anything online. As far as Mister Torque is concerned the correct answer to "Explosions?" is "Boom!" but "Ka-Boom" "boom boom booom!" "Bada-Boom" and "KaPOW!" are also acceptable.
I’m kinda new to this game but yesterday I got Behemoth and Helfire Tincture in I think it proc on you with every tick of burn but not damaging me for some reason. It shredded every mob and the bosses it carried me.
To be entirely honest I knew most of this already from just running the game a lot What surprised me however was just how many different attacks can double proc behemoth
A few notes: Proc coefficient doesn't just affect chance based items, as you say, but almost all on hit effects. Leeching seed is the most obvious example of this, as although it will say it heals for 1 full health with
Behemoth's probably my favourite red along with meathooks; that being said, i have played mercenary so much, and this game so much, and I never noticed the double expose proc on merc and the multiple stacks of desperado
Getting the PC version of the game and getting slicing winds and the alt utility was a godsend for mercenary, if I have an absolute awful run and get a behemoth that run is saved no matter what. The extra damage and expose proc does wonders for any run of mercenary since the damage of behemoth is multiplicitave with the +350% damage makes the total damage skyrocket into oblivion
I wonder if this makes behemoth worth taking on merc if you’re getting a command red. It doesn’t otherwise feel super impactful but that’s a really strong interaction and kinda lets it pull double duty as a damage boost and a psuedo alien head.
the boring but most efficient option on command is to take ceremonial daggers and then take forgive me please as your equipment it might be boring, but it's free damage just by pressing Q, and with a bunch of other good whites it takes the cake as the most OP combo on any character
@@luviana_ I had a similar build when I ran 20 stages on Monsoon with command artifact on, I stacked 5+ fuel cells with Missile launcher and had Soulbound Catalyst and ICBM then stacked Gasoline and Will of the Wisp, I would just spam Q on every stage and it would clean every enemy on the whole map. It was ridiculous and boring after becoming a weapon of mass destruction.
bit late, but the reason lost seers doesnt work on bosses normally is because its not rolled against them, so if you get it off another enemy you can still instakill. mithrix and voidling are simply immune to the instakill damage type, instead taking small fallback damage which is still a rare small damage boost in the end. anything that dies to a reaver explosion is vulnerable to lost seers in some way
As Visions of Heresy double procs BB, would being an Aspect of Lightning, with Silence Between Two Strikes, or after killing a Lighting Elite with Wake, also double proc BB on initial hits, and then a 3rd time with the detonation?
