    Being the champ outside of the boxing ring is what made Muhammad the greatest.

    It wasnt rocket science on Alis part. He saw what they did to his idol Joe Louis. Made him do free boxing exhibitions, took advantage of him, left him broke and penniless and Ali said theyre not doing that to me. Plus he didnt want all the black men and women joining to go die in the rich white mens wars. He was a genius.

    What a man he was. I mean who would back then dare to show such bravery and courage to say [NO] to white America establishment. He single handedly did.! He convinced everybody around him this was the right decisions. Tell me if you know of any other figure who could do that!?

      When Ali died, there was blanket coverage here in the UK.. it was the only story on the BBC news channels etc for the whole day. Same with the print news...In the Sun for example it was front page and the first 15 pages.., and a centre page special dedication.. and some pages in the sport section. I've not seen anything like it other than a member of the British royal family dying. No sports man will ever again get that kind of coverage.

      Both feats made him the greatest that he beat the biggest and baddest boxers of his era and he stood up for what he believed in without faltering!!!

    Did the interviewer suggest that it was Bob Arum who 'made' Muhammad Ali there? Arum showed a contemptible lack of objectivity by ststing 'everyone' wanted him to take the government's deal because he was a cash cow. Yet that was exactly his own attitude, describing the champ's stand as stupid. What this interview confirms to me is the importance of having your own mind and standing by your own decisions. Ali may have gone to jail, never boxed or retained the title again, been forgotten and even died in poverty. In 'white' terms that would have made him a big - time loser, the ultimate fool. But he still would have been right. Irrespective of the consequences, he was Right. Even if America had gone on to a great popular triumph in Vietnam, and its returning troops to heroes' welcomes, he still would have been right. As he often said, he couldn't have gone to Vietnam. It was a choice between the title and the money or his soul. He chose his soul. This is something that a mercenary white man like Arum would never understand.

      Ali knows the teaching of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. And he followed and practiced it. Is not because of his own decision but the right decision he has made and through the guidance and protection from the creator. It is written in the holy quran, that's even the whole world is against you but if you are on the right path don't be afraid of Satan and his soldiers and in Islam the truth wins not the majority wins. And from what his former promoter is saying here makes Ali the greatest of all time and will remain the greatest. May Allah Subhanahu Wa'Tallah grant him Janna'tul Firdaus.

    He took a few cups of Luv

    One pint of Kindness,

    He mixed it all together

    THATS HOW BOB ARUM GOT FROM A HARVERD LAWYER TO RICH BOXING PROMOTER, AND TO THIS DAY HES BIGGER THAN BOXING. YOU HEAR HIM SAY EVERYBODY WANT HIM TO TAKE THE DEAL, HE WAS A CASH COW, EVERYBODY MADE MONEY, EVERYBODY BUT ALI.

  • @awakingmind5251
    @awakingmind5251 5 лет назад +14

    MUHAMMAD ALI didn't take that deal and didn't take down because of MALCOLM X'S influence on him amd MALCOLM'S teachings. Some people want to forget that MALCOLM was the one that got MUHAMMAD ALI into the Nation of Islam and they cultivated a very close relationship and MALCOLM was MUHAMMAD'S first teacher other than ELIJAH MUHAMMAD.
    All MUHAMMAD'S talk of Black Nationalist comes from MALCOLM. There are more pictures of MALCOLM X and MUHAMMAD ALI than with ELIJAH MUHAMMAD or anyone else during that four/five year per than with any other Mulsims except his natural brothers and trainer.

    I think it was a message from God that Ali shouldn't have been there in Vietnam to get killed in an unjust war. Assuming he went who knows he would have been killed but he wasn't a coward . A brave person like Ali would have fought on behalf of America if she was attacked in a just war.

    This is innacurate. His change in views and rhetoric towards white people was because of Ali's leader and teacher Imam WD Mohammed son of the Hon Elijah Muhmmad. Wdm introduced Ali to the Quran, Salaat, & and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Ali lived and died as a sunni muslim. I knew him personally. May ALLAH SWT frogive his faults, make his grave spacious and filled w light, and grant him Jannah Al firdous as well as Imam WD Mohammed Sis Clara Muhammad Elijah Muhammad And Malcolm X. 🤲🏿

    • @mikehalpern384

      ***** Hey, it was the US Government's decision - you can't say - oh, i don't like it, I'm not going or else half the people drafted would have just stayed home ! ... that's just an excuse a coward uses anyway. It's the same with every war, there will always be scared people who will come up with an excuse not to go, they are called Draft Dodgers but I also call them cowards. Ali was just a big phony with a loud mouth.
