The man had conviction. He earned the admiration of millions of people from all over the world. An exceptional human being. My favorite sports figure by far.

I’m not a Muslim but he was wright.I admire him as a boxer Amd a person.I will always remember him .I am a veteran and US had no business sending people to Vietnam .He stood up the protect himself against the interest the us government had. The government was always there to look out for their interest , not the people.

if you all loved to hate him it was because of excessive flag waving and hubris.. we in canada loved him for his stance on the war and giving the administration the finger.. anyone giving the finger to the administration is ok in my book.

    hello.
It is said to be Seo Jeong-yong's assistant director for Korea Educational Broadcasting System.
    09:01~09:25
I would like to use this part of the video.
We want to use the scene where Ali gives a speech in our program called 'humanstory', so we leave a copyright license and procedure inquiry!
If there is a cost, I leave an inquiry about whether the cost and high-quality video can be delivered.
    thank you

13:09 yes, you’re reaching. The champ wouldn’t have disrespected the president like that and he did the “crazy” motion ALL THE TIME! even if the champ disagreed with him, he would not have done that. He just wouldn’t have shown up in the first place.

That a segment on Muhammad Ali would be on the show the same day as a segment on the integrated prom is interesting since he has been a critic of interracial marriage.

A man can be right about one issue and wrong about another. The fact he was wrong about one thing doesn't make him wrong about everything he says. Nobody is ever right about everything, nobody is ever wrong about EVERYTHING. The world isn't that simple, people are not that simple.

As Noam Chomsky pointed out, Canada's position on the Vietnam War was hypocritical. Canada was quite willing to sell supplies for the war to the United States.

Ali had the fame etc and has claim to being the greatest heavyweight but many would say it was Joe Louis but by far the greatest boxer of all time is Sugar Ray Robinson, who Ali himself called the greatest.

Agreed, his country called unto him to serve and he dodged it. If he can't stand behind the troops that gave him his fame, money, and freedom, he's more than welcome to stand infront of em.

You are mad. The troops had no business in Vietnam in first place. Why fight people who have done you no wrong.
