8:04 - 9:24 THAT was the deepest thing I've ever heard. "that's why you guys wanted to become carats in the first place was not only because the music was great but the people behind the music is even greater" Nothing can be more true. Seventeen is such a honest and hard working group, you can't help but admire and love these thirteen boys. Even though there are some carats that might start off liking seventeen because of their dances, we all eventually learn to love each and every member as an unique individual.
OH WAIT i have a very fun carat trivia for you!!!! you already know don't wanna cry and clap, right? well, there's actually a song that goes in between those two that makes all three dances connected! like, the second song picks up at the end of don't wanna cry, and clap starts at the end of that song. it's called WITHOUT YOU and it's their b-side track they promoted along with CLAP! here's how the three dances flow if you'd like to see ruclips.net/video/LfPuinbZCNk/видео.html they've also performed these three on award shows back to back to back and it's pure perfection.
If you want another fun choreo from Seventeen, definitely check out their dance practice for Very Nice, it's super fun and energetic (and they also put bloopers as intros and outros for that one). You might also enjoy their choreo for Pretty U if you want something fresh, it's almost like a musical. Seventeen had a really youthful image when they debuted so all of their earlier stuff (until Don't Wanna Cry) was on the fun and energetic side.
Jade V awh during a random live stream the subs wanted me to watch very nice so I did! But I’ll definitely think about doing a separate analysis video for it!
the "skit" in the beginning was done specifically for this dance practice bc the concept for the music video for clap is them having their own company, Specialized Videotape Tech. (SVT), where it shows them making the music video themselves like directing and making props etc (i dont know if it made sense im so sorry 😂) So yeah the skit was them self making the choreography vid too 🙂🙂
When you said that they wanted us to be part of their art I remembered when Hoshi said he made the choreo easier so that Carats could dance along. Very nice analysis, also welcome to the diamond life~ 💎
Woohoo welcome to the diamond life!! been watching all your analysis videos on svt choreos and loving each one of them..please do keep them coming! no recommendations from me since i would recommend basically every single svt choreo videos lol (pretty sure everyone here is already doing a great job at that haha)..thanks again for the great videos!
honestly if I could choose one song for you to do an analysis of, it would be the Seventeen and Nu'est W dance HEAVEN. Because that is hands down one of my favorites (and not just because two of my favourite groups are facing together)
yeah Vernon did that on purpose haha the intro was all staged to be funny, like for example Seungkwan was writing on the clapboard and he wrote “sound: LOUD” while for date he wrote “i have a date today” which is a reference to the lyrics in their song Very Nice!
I love that clapping engages the audience and if you read the lyrics and know the meaning of the song it really elevates the intention of them clapping with the audience.
Your channel is like one of my faves when it comes to dance practice reactions! I can feel the passion you have for dancing seeing how knowledgeable you are in this field. Because of this, we, your fellow CARATS are able to appreciate SVT's choreos even more ❤️ Keep up the awesome work!
ELLIOT! im always excited when you do Seventeen Dance Practice reaction videos. Thank you for a very detailed video, and even adding clips from where the moves are inspired from. T'was fun learning that! And I appreciate how you see Seventeen as great people also, because they are! They''re a bunch or insanely talented dorks. Also, I could definitely tell you're a dancer :P when you did that fresno move even tho you gave like 10% energy, there was that dancer vibe to it LOL. And you always said the words "Art" and "Artist" a lot which I love because that's how I see Seventeen, they're not just idols, they're artists. And they always tell stories with their work. And yes you were right, majority of their songs are for the fans~ I hope you'll react to "Pretty U" next! 💓
Consider this: you should film a dance cover (of any svt coreo you like) :3 Anyways, you make the most insightful analysis - for someone who doesn't really know the technicalities (and history, in this vid's case) of dancing, this is really fucking cool
Thank you for this comment! I'm glad you appreciate my analysis! I didn't know I'd receive so much positive feedback on this type of video. and for that thank you and I'll keep pushing myself to post more content consistently :)
You're more than welcome, dude! It's just (aju) nice too see it actually explained WHY/HOW a move is difficult or cool. And your interpretation of their meaning is also awesome. It helps us fans understand more about the artists and what they're trying to say with their work. And for us who like to learn the coreos (even if mostly for fun), being more conscious of wtf we're doing kinda makes the whole experience better? ahahah
Ringochan94 Wow I never saw it that way. That means so much and makes me feel a lot better about my analysis content 😄. I think it’s great seeing fans covering choreos not emphasising too much about the technique aspect but for the culture! & I love K-Pop because I feel the genuine love for dance from its artists and fans!
It was their vision to have the audience clap with them when they chose this as their title track. They also continued the self producing concept they did in Clap MV in this dance practice vid hence the intro where they look like the production staff setting up before the actual dance. Anyways thanks for this! ^^ Please analyze "Heaven" by Nuest W and Seventeen. Pledis boys sync choreo at it's finest 👌
I'M SO IMPRESSED WHEN YOU ADD THE REFERENCES OF THEIR CHOREO. I've seen a lot of choreo reaction but no one did it like you! Thank you for the effort, and thank you for making me adore them more because now I know how creative they are with all those references they had. I'm waiting for your next reaction (especially Thanks)!
Hello 👋👋👋 Can you do don't wanna cry, flower, crazy in love or highlight by seventeen? Those are my favourite SVT choreographies and I think you would like them. You don't have to do it tho 🤗😁😅 I really love your dance analysis
Yess I agree about the part about it being made for the audience. Like in the mv, at the end, they added a “Thank you for watching” text. Like... artistes don’t usually add that at the end of their MVs. Man you gave them more than just justice, it’s very much appreciated.
I've been bingeing your videos for the past couple days and I just gotta say I love love love all of your analysis videos, I really like how much you notice and the fact that you break it down and comment on the difficulties and other elements of specific moves. I really appreciated the historical context you provided for moves from this choreo. Keep up the good work!!
You know what I love about this video? I've seen a lot of Reaction Video and there are just complimenting and talking some shits. But this one is the best one for me because you gave examples where they got those moves and explained a lot and I've learned a lot thanks man keep it up!👍💎
I totally agree with you about the intros and outros. actually, seventeen's aju nice dance practice has a really fun intro and outro and that video basically single handedly got me into seventeen. I watched that video about 500,000 times because the choreo and the song was so addicting but also because it seemed like they were having so much fun. if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend! (also yes, you did do seventeen justice in this video :)
The concept of the music video of this song revolves around them being a company that is directing a music video. The intro and outro continue this concept so I think that’s why it’s the only one that’s like this lol. A few of their other ones have them being crazy before/after, I think very nice and mansae do? Anyway, the lyrics of the song are asking the audience to clap along with them if you’re having a bad day and to make the day better. The fanchant also includes the clapping so it is definitely a very fan involved choreo like you said !!
I'll say, you're already my favorite for dance anysis things (like that idk what i'm saying lol), i've never seen any dance analysis videos that's as accurate as this. If you want to watch more dance practices of svt just like this, you can watch very nice, adore u, pretty u. Thank you sl much for this! This has been a late comment, but still, i really want to say thank you. You just slipped into the diamond life 😍💕💎
You're completely right, the members talked about how they chose the clapping move so that the fans/audience could dance along with them. Thank you for the reaction! You totally deserve your Carat Card.
Wow this is an actual analysis! I can honestly say that Ive learned something from your video lool,, thanks for this, youre probably the best reactor given how knowledgeable you seem to be at this :))) I really like proper analysis' over pure reactions..
I also recommend for you to check out ReacttotheK for song/music analysis, if you haven't already! The channel runner and reactors are all classical musicians.
Thank you for the amazing reactions! Your analysis was great and we all learned a little more about dance through this analysis as well. And yes, we love being their fan b/c their music is great and the people behind the music are also great! ❤️❤️❤️
Woahhh, i like the way you explain everything and for bonus information about the dance move. I'll wait for other dance analysis video. LUV FROM CARAT 💙💙💙
You definitely passed and can now be a certified Seventeen fan.. soon to be a Carat, I hope ahahahha.. the way you point out every single move is super great! And the sincerity of your reactions and comment makes you and your channel so interesting ❤ waiting for more 👏👏👏
I want to see you reacting to seventeen performance team "lilili yabbay" it's a true masterpiece and it's actually the reason why i stan seventeen, the choreography is on another level
Sooo, the bean boozled challenge worked lol? Thank you for reacting again :) There’s also videos on the M2 channel where they all stand in line to dance individually, it’s really fun to watch too 🤙
Another analysis video wow👌👏 I find your videos so interesting and dw you've done the svt boys justice. I'm learning so much from you sharing your knowledge and insight on this aspect of what makes kpop popular, it makes me appreciate this art even more. I can't wait for more!
A wise philosopher once said "Thats why you guys want to be a carats in the first place was not only because of the music is great but because of people behind the music is even greater"
I've always like to watch your videos because you're not just give comments and analysis, but you give us a new knowledge about dance ❤️ Love from Indonesian Carat 🇮🇩
Thank you very much for you reactions!!! You're certainly a carat! You can't get out now! We're kind of in a crisis now since we feel like a world tour is coming!!! I hope you get to see them. Seventeen concerts are the best. A 2-hour concert extends up to 4hrs!!! They're in japan right now too.
idk if anyone explained this but the reason this dance practice has this intro is because of the theme they went for with the clap mv. Clap mv followed them being their own company. You see SVT written as Seventeen Video Technology throughout the mv. This intro was just a nice little play into the theme of the mv. The clapping part of the choreo also follows the lyrics. During that part they're saying stuff like "Clap until your hands catch fire, clap x4" "Clap till this song ends, clap x4" etc
i really enjoy your analysis it's fun and very educational ^^ also you were right on that clap + look thing as what svt really intended with it. they said they chose the most convenient/easy way of clapping in their choreo to engage with the fans and to clap together especially during live perfs i hope you find time for Thanks or Aju Nice (it has an intro + outro thing too) ++ their debut song (Adore U) THANK YOU!!:")
I'm not a profession but I know a little about dancing. I can see they're so good at locking and popping and doing canon. It's not just the performance team but like 13 of them can do those techniques. So I think they had been trained well about pop and lock. And then the formation. They're most creative in term of formation. Finally is energy, make us feel happy watching their dance. In conclusion, 17 dance are pop, lock, formation, energy and of course their synchronisation.
If you like those kind of choreography, seventeen's debut song (adore you) have that kind of vibe and if you watch it, you really have to play it over and over bc there's so many things going on in that dance video
See the ending posed of Dont Wanna Cry because that is the start of the choreo of WITHOUT YOU and the end of the said choreo is the beginning of Clap 😊
I dare you to make another SEVENTEEN Choreography Anaysis/Reaction video (i.e. Call Call Call) and try to name the members by their parts. 😂 I really like all your SVT Choreo reactions/analysis btw! because they are so authentic and I really appreciate that you appreciate Seventeen Choreos. Also, Welcome to the DIamond Life!!
My recommendations are ‘Thanks’ (great control and flow, beautiful choreo-my top pick), ‘Very Nice’ (very jazzy and groovy moves, also one of my favorites), ‘Mansae’, and of course the classic ‘Don’t Wanna Cry’. Although these are all old, they’re still very worthy to watch!
I've really liked all the vids u have done of SVT, and I would like to recommend u to watch Don't wanna cry + Without You + Clap, in that order... There is an end of the year - award show performance of this masterpiece, I don't remember the show ... I look for it for u... But I love your insight about their dances, I love to dance, I actually kinda dance for fun, and SVT choreos are so amazing thay are my favs! As a real true Carat I approve of your comments thank u for sharing. 🙆🏻♀️
Ahhh! Another SEVENTEEN DANCE ANALYSIS! 😍 you're really good at explaining there dances. And also! Welcome to the diamond lifeee! 💎 and oh! Please do react on "very nice" its really fun tho. 😂
As I've watched your analysis of diff songs not many people point out how a lot of their subtle movements enhance the instrumental and what not. That being said if you want some more witty and fun choreo you can definitely see it in their early days like adore u, mansae, and pretty u. Just keep in mind that these are when they are younger so the concepts have more a fresh and youthful look/vibe to it? One of my personal favorites that is actually a bside track is called fast pace (altho i dont think they have a dance practice to it) but then again all of their choreos are amazing. Enough of my ranting i really do enjoy your videos and welcome to the club! As long as you are appreciating them you are doing them justice. Ill end it here now :)
Yeheyyyy, another dance analysisssssss 😍 please do also react to thanks, call call call, DON'T WANNA CRY and Crazy in Loveeeeeee, damn they have so many great dance choreographyyy
Loved your reaction! I would love to see your opinion of their others coreos, like Highlight, Flower, Getting Closer, Very Nice and the others title tracks!💖 Thank you for appreciating our boys

id definitely want to see him watch/critic/react on those 3 videos. coz hell those 3 were so damn well connected (choreography wise)
YES!!! A NEW SVT DANCE ANALYSIS i hope you'll get to do THANKS and CALL CALL CALL too 💓

idk if anyone explained this but the reason this dance practice has this intro is because of the theme they went for with the clap mv. Clap mv followed them being their own company. The clapping part of the choreo also follows the lyrics. During that part they're saying stuff like "Clap until your hands catch fire, clap x4" "Clap till this song ends, clap x4" etc
I know this is my second comment, but you should watch the Mansae dance practice since they had spreading out on it. Boom Boom too.

I really like all your SVT Choreo reactions/analysis btw! because they are so authentic and I really appreciate that you appreciate Seventeen Choreos.
Yesss more seventeen
Hmm i think u should react all of the seventeen's choreography LOL🤣
And btw i really like your reaction❤
Ill end it here now :)
clapping along w them is like part of our fanchant even while holding our caratbongs. carats multitaskers 🤣
btw you should totally see their choreo for Call Call Call!!! i have a feeling you’d def enjoy it haha
