I’m with you on pretty much all your ideas. I think this is going to be more photo centric which makes sense. That’ll leave room for the A7Siv to be more video centric. Even though that camera is more of a light sensitive camera.

I have A1 & A7iv, but really need 6K 60fps, 4K 240fps and pre-record. Hope A9iii will have it.
Goodness, that would be such an amazing camera. I’d really like to have a two camera set up my A1 and then something like you just mentioned smaller megapixels for a better low light performance faster read out and better video capabilities. Fingers crossed pal.

From A7R5 and beyond. What that camera has done to the Sony lineup is amazing. Still rocking on the a6700, a most amazing aps-c camera. Now that Sony is doing this to the A9, what do they have in store for the A75? The choices, the choices. I still like the higher pixel sensor, so I'm still game for the A7R5 with its glorious 61mp sensor.
I have the A7RV but the Fps just isn't fast enough for BIF.
I love my A1 but interested to see this new camera!
Thanks for another good video and channel. You just described the a6700 only with a full frame sensor, 240fps and 8k video. ...and a heftier price tag. However, if I had the extra cash laying around I'd probably still wait for a future A1. I like the memory features and AI focus on the a6700. Switch from humans, to birds, to insects with the turn of a dial. Also the auto tracking feature for making videos look like I have a camera operator. Love what you do man, thanks again.

I wondering if A9iii same price of A1 (after discount) is it better to get A1 instead of A9iii or people still choose A9iii over A1?

I hear 44 mp stacked sensor which is almost a global shutter.
I’m pretty sure it will definitely be a stack sensor. I can’t see Sony releasing anything but in this type of a camera.

I'm tempted to change to this from my A7RV if the rumours are true. I tend to do 80% wildlife photography these days and the A7RV just isn't doing it for me for when it comes to fast action like birds in flight. Or I wait for the A1 II...
I get you! I have the A1 and love it, it’s allowed me to grow into the camera and now I’d like to pick up a second body for various outtings … like when I am shooting from the car and for hikes where I am not going too far. A second body would allow me to capture broll and create better videos.

agreed, that was a massive surprise and Sony did such a good job keeping the Global shutter a secret.

The A9iii is not ideal for wildlife, specially if you have to crop. For birds, its definitely not a good choice. You meed all the puxels ypu can get like in the A1. The A9 series is mostly for sports photographers. Ypu can get away with it, but sgsin, once ypu syart cropping into the image, ypu end up eith a low res image. Minimum required is high 40s MP or better
The a1 remains the king … for now.
