For the Lingua Franca achievement, there was this cheese i used to managed the language of vassals: Played as the Byzantine, landed your Grand Patriarch then feed him all of duke-tier vassals. Since duke-tier vassals dont have court, and theocratic vassals also dont have court, the only royal court in your empire will be yours, and they shall speak only your language. What'a left to do would be to conquer and destroy other royal court until you are the only one left (Tedious, but much easier since you dont have to worry about that one random king-tier vassal decided to change his court language out of nowhere)
I’ve come very close on a couple of occasions to getting Lingua Franca without world conquest. The closest I got was two Indian kingdoms who didn’t speak Basque. Yes, you heard me, Basque

Confession: I actually got Beta Israel by playing as Haesteinn and county hopping down to Africa, conquering Abyssinia, moving my capital there, converting to Judaism and then diverging culture and it worked. A bit cheesy but tactics are tactics, baby, and the achievement doesn't require you to be African, just that you have the right culture and religion.
I managed to get the Legacy of the Campeadores somehow in a larger game starting as the Habsburgs. Not sure how, I'm guessing it was some descendant from a crusade that triggered it.
I got Beta Israel *extremely* easily in 1066. I became a vassal of Abyssinia, got religious rights in my contract, claimed the throne, fabricated hooks on fellow vassals to get the faction going. Then at one point the King died and I became next in line after his heir (I'm assuming there was no one else with a claim other than me) . It was simply a matter of murdering the new King, becoming king of Abyssinia myself and diverging the culture. Claim throne is most op perk in the game guys, don't forget this.
Fun fact: The medieval german poet Oswald von Wolkenstein in his "Durch Barbarei, Arabia" speaks of Ibernia which, at first glance might seem Iberia, but in reality is the Caucasus :) So there you go, achievement explained!
I got the Lingua Franca achievement on my mother of us all run. The game went super long and I conquered most of the world. Eventually for a short period I got it to where everyone's Court language was Arabic.
1:25 - I am not certain if this achievement still allows Custom Characters anymore, I did it as a custom female ruler, it's really easy to do if you start with enough virtues and such to make Sancho like you and he'll let you instantly marry El Cid Matrilineally as long as you've stacked enough.
7:10 - so fun fact, you need to make sure that you diverge *as a count*, you can't hold the duchy when you diverge or it invalidates the achievement, which is a pain considering that making the duchy is easy prestige to diverge.
I really can't be bothered to do Achievements, i like just creating random Custom characters in different places and basically make my own world history to accommodate my custom rulers, i like switching between characters to see how they are going an to make sure they're not falling apart from within.

You actually can get Beta Israel as a custom character! If you replace one of the characters you mentioned with a custom haymanot etheopian, it works - it just *has* to be one of those character you replace.
All achievements are rare because barely anyone plays without mods, just like in CK2 where people would have 3k+ hours and no achievements unlocked, the same happens in this game. Mods made CK2 and they make CK3.
You don't actually have to start in Fika to get the achievement, you simply need to have it as your primary title when you diverge culture; for instants I started in Cagliari as Greek culture, built the silver mine, and then went down and conquered Fika. (I also swore fealty to the Byzantines so almost no one attacked me.) and that's how I got the Achievement.
I got the campeadores achivement by accident lol. I started as king Sancho and gave the duchy of Galicia to El Cid (At the start of the game, he is the bff of Sancho), so 200 hundred years down the line I gave the Kingdom of Valencia to my heir and this achivement pop up out of nowhere. I didnt even marry El Cid in my family, it seems that my wife at the moment was a direct heir of him.
In my playing, easiest way to get legacy of the campeadores is to start as matilda of tuscany. you can marry el cid immediately to a matrilineal marriage, and then just start taking over valencia. i found it easier to take over italy first, so i had a strong power base, then went for the balearic islands and then the mainland.
Hey gamers, if you want an easier time getting the Legacy of the whatever achievement (listed as #10), instead of doing all that intrigue, just invert gender roles and play the sister. You start with all kingdoms united as men can't inherit titles. Then, just search up El Cid's house with the character finder and marry him. You can see his house name in the video. Starts with a V or something. After that, just focus on conquering Valencia, you should be able to have a kid with El Cid by then and bam. Easy peasy.
For Legacy of the Compeadores it is way easier to start as Urraca with the matriarchy game rule. Should still let you play in Ironman, and makes it very easy as you start with all of your brothers titles
Also a note: Unless you enjoy pain, do not do what I did and try to mix Lingua Franca with True Tolerance, it is just not worth the time it takes to combine the two approaches. I wasted an entire cultural era delaying "By The Sword" for "Xenophilic", and that just made both parts worse. Since the best way to get true tolerance is to have a large culture group via divergence and hybrids, and divergent cultures can actually adopt other languages if their realm has the right language mix, meaning more issues of vassal king courts speaking the wrong language. (I am not certain of the exact ratios, but I have been able to adopt Arabic while diverging an West African culture (Gur) in a majority Andalusian realm, or Adopt Greek language as a Roman Divergent culture in the ERE, so I presume it has to do with the majority tongue of the realm, but I am unsure.) Edit: And yes, I did end up getting both achievements in that run, but it took forever. My thought process was that clearly True Tolerance would happen eventually in a Lingua Franca run, and it would just happen naturally, but no, unless you stack stuff like Xenophilic and the Traditions legacy path, you cap at like ~60 acceptance with non-same heritage languages, and you need 90+ for True Tolerance. Much easier if you just play in like Germany or France and turn up AI divergences, slow down cultural conversion speed (to keep more around) and just make a Divergent Micro culture with Egalitarian Ethos and Xenophilic as like the HRE or something. Egalitarian Hybrid of Central Germanic and Frankish might be an easy way to score a connection to both, but considering that you have 4 "subsets" of cultures even there, it's not the easiest. You can't make both the D'Oil and D'voc Frankish happy while also Making the High German and Saxon Central Germanics happy, at least not by some magical combo of language and heritage. But still, Egalitarian and Xenophilic HRE is probably the easiest way to go for True Tolerance. Lingua Franca is probably easiest as Byz, especially if you make a Heresy with Pursuit of Power or combine By the Sword with Quarrelsome, but I haven't tested other variations on it because good grief who has the time to do multiple Lingua Franca runs.

When you are extremely accomplished in the game it's pretty much impossible to expect it to be challenging. Hell I started as Ternate in EUIV on Very Hard and eventually the game got too easy. So long as you minmax, the game will never be challenging. Only when you don't know the mechanics (either through an overhaul mod or through a HUGE update) will it get tough again

10:54 - Also again, I am not certain if it was really patched or not, but Lingua Franca also allowed custom characters despite what the wiki/steam said back in the day, so 1 Custom Byz Empire later and "It's all Greek to me baby"..... Edit: Also reading through that Wiki text, that must be either wrong or has been changed, since in my run the AI did actually embrace Greek Language after a while, particularly the Tibetan Buddhists, which by that block of text's description, should be impossible as they were outside my capital's region and religious group. But the wiki being potentially very wrong is nothing new, they still haven't updated the holy sites of several religions since the edits that were made in recent patches. (among other things, Conversos does not have Alexandria, etc)
It's even possible to play as El Cid. He has a landed dynasty member of a different house and if you become his child you can get deposed and play as him.
I've got Lingua Franca achievement. I started as count Haestinn and migrated to India. There I become Ashari because nearby muslims waged holy wars on my kingdom. I adopted arabic as court language because Abbasyds had grand court. I conquered somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of the world at the end of the game. Because of my grandest court everyone in the world adopted arabic court language. Sometimes new rulers change to native. It wasn't really hard (and intentional)
Based on #8 it seems you really like my language (polish). Its really weird to hear polish words in an English sentence. If I would hear the same in polish Accent I would cringe cuz I hear that every week but with your Accent its a different weird feeling. Świetne wideo! Czekam na więcej. I think what screws most people up are the consonants and how they're actually pronounced. French has the same issues but it's a far more known and "prestigious" language so people try to get it right.
I ended up getting lingua franca completely by accident. I had formed India and conquered Arabia and north Africa when European rulers began using my language as their court language.
On the el cid archievement you can play a game of chess against king sancho and lose that will give him opinion of you righ away before you finish the chess game you can marry him and then you can finish the chess game tab.
Does it have to be a direct heir (as in son/daughter) to El Cid? I always thought it fired as long as El Cid was in the bloodline (like up to great grandchild or something)
No it doesnt have to be only son or daughter. I gave him a title, married my son to his daughter to get him in my bloodline. Many generations later i conquered Valencia and got an achievement . He just has to be in family tree i think.
In the Legacy of the Campeadores, you can get married to El Cid quicker using the same character. insted of befriend, use sway and if you are lucky with a board game, get your brother to 44% and you can marry El Cid with a +5% acceptance, when Infanta is 35.
Yeah so the first one, they ended up revolting on me and making me destroy all 3 of my kingdom titles that i had claims for. Shit sucked. I'll try it again later. But you don't need Befriend trait anymore since you can marry the guy asap. Its just that waiting too long means you'll be ousted basically.
9:43 - now, this achievement would not be so bad.... *if PDX hadn't programmed the AI to only take the runestone decision about half as often as they could*, they even left a line in the code comments about "we don't want the AI to make too many runestones everywhere". But they did what they did, so cheesing the achievement with abdication abuse is the way to go unless you enjoy praying to RNJesus that your AI dynasty members are good at coin flips, and we all know that relying on the AI is totally reasonable. Edit: Lmao I suppose that Culture Era abuse would do it too, but that sounds even more tedious.

Bro I hate that I have to play on Xbox cuz my pc broke. I have no DLC's and it's tough to do things as I usually would. Rum isn't too hard. But on Xbox there are some decisions that seem non existent. Like where the hell is the decision to form the kingdom of Livonia as Courland? Instead of the decision and getting the sick title of "father of the Baltic's" I have to do it the boring old fashioned way of conquering de jure counties of Livonia and form it that way. I also can't diverge cultures and can't customise my realm flag and house banner. I'm really sad that I can't have a Celtic flag and have a green colour. I really hate the fact that I can't be a red Russia without the hammer and sickle. And what annoys me the most is that I can't do the most basic thing as put a cross on my flag.
4:15 I don't know why exactly would you torture yourself by feudalizing so early. Raid, feast and hunt. Acquire prestige and gold before you feudilize or else you will struggle economically as well as militarily. Build yourself some power hold first. Feudalizing does not need to be rushed.
For Beta Israel Alzabo is actually incorrect about needing to start as a Jewish king. You cannot start as any Jewish King which is why ruler designer is not available. You can easily start as the king of Abyssinia, convert, and diverge. Some people speed run this to basically do it without unpausing
How can people play this game without mods.. Its an empty shell... (i wish achivments works with mods) But most of them are very easy to do.. Anyway, keep up the good work
Rarest doesn't necessarily mean harder. A lot of those achievements are ones players don't want to do. I'd rather make Hellenism retake the Roman empire. Doing that as a count under the Byzantines is difficult

The game only checks that a descendant of El Cid holds the kingdom title; it doesn't actually care whether it's you or not.

But the wiki being potentially very wrong is nothing new, they still haven't updated the holy sites of several religions since the edits that were made in recent patches. (among other things, Conversos does not have Alexandria, etc)
It's even possible to play as El Cid. He has a landed dynasty member of a different house and if you become his child you can get deposed and play as him.

Im only missing 7 achievements to complete this game .. Some are just way to tedious for even me to do.
I've got Lingua Franca achievement. I started as count Haestinn and migrated to India. There I become Ashari because nearby muslims waged holy wars on my kingdom. I adopted arabic as court language because Abbasyds had grand court. I conquered somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of the world at the end of the game. Because of my grandest court everyone in the world adopted arabic court language. Sometimes new rulers change to native. It wasn't really hard (and intentional)

I think what screws most people up are the consonants and how they're actually pronounced.
French has the same issues but it's a far more known and "prestigious" language so people try to get it right.
I ended up getting lingua franca completely by accident. I had formed India and conquered Arabia and north Africa when European rulers began using my language as their court language.

On the el cid archievement you can play a game of chess against king sancho and lose that will give him opinion of you righ away before you finish the chess game you can marry him and then you can finish the chess game tab.

Does it have to be a direct heir (as in son/daughter) to El Cid? I always thought it fired as long as El Cid was in the bloodline (like up to great grandchild or something)
No it doesnt have to be only son or daughter. I gave him a title, married my son to his daughter to get him in my bloodline. Many generations later i conquered Valencia and got an achievement . He just has to be in family tree i think.

In the Legacy of the Campeadores, you can get married to El Cid quicker using the same character. insted of befriend, use sway and if you are lucky with a board game, get your brother to 44% and you can marry El Cid with a +5% acceptance, when Infanta is 35.

Yeah so the first one, they ended up revolting on me and making me destroy all 3 of my kingdom titles that i had claims for. Shit sucked. I'll try it again later. But you don't need Befriend trait anymore since you can marry the guy asap. Its just that waiting too long means you'll be ousted basically.

9:43 - now, this achievement would not be so bad.... *if PDX hadn't programmed the AI to only take the runestone decision about half as often as they could*, they even left a line in the code comments about "we don't want the AI to make too many runestones everywhere".
But they did what they did, so cheesing the achievement with abdication abuse is the way to go unless you enjoy praying to RNJesus that your AI dynasty members are good at coin flips, and we all know that relying on the AI is totally reasonable.
Edit: Lmao I suppose that Culture Era abuse would do it too, but that sounds even more tedious.

Great video. Though it’s disappointing the lingua franca explanation was just take by the sword and conquer the world. Yeah that’s the best way to paint the map, but kind of lazy to not include anything about cultural acceptance or what to do when your vassal kingdoms won’t change languages.
Bro I hate that I have to play on Xbox cuz my pc broke. I have no DLC's and it's tough to do things as I usually would. Rum isn't too hard. But on Xbox there are some decisions that seem non existent. Like where the hell is the decision to form the kingdom of Livonia as Courland? Instead of the decision and getting the sick title of "father of the Baltic's" I have to do it the boring old fashioned way of conquering de jure counties of Livonia and form it that way. I also can't diverge cultures and can't customise my realm flag and house banner. I'm really sad that I can't have a Celtic flag and have a green colour. I really hate the fact that I can't be a red Russia without the hammer and sickle. And what annoys me the most is that I can't do the most basic thing as put a cross on my flag.
4:15 I don't know why exactly would you torture yourself by feudalizing so early. Raid, feast and hunt. Acquire prestige and gold before you feudilize or else you will struggle economically as well as militarily. Build yourself some power hold first. Feudalizing does not need to be rushed.
The first one is going to be much easier with the next DLC allowing you to play as unlanded characters.
For Beta Israel Alzabo is actually incorrect about needing to start as a Jewish king. You cannot start as any Jewish King which is why ruler designer is not available. You can easily start as the king of Abyssinia, convert, and diverge. Some people speed run this to basically do it without unpausing

For Brave and Bold, you do not need to become Christian, I managed to do the achievement by reforming the Slovianska Prada faith.
Rarest doesn't necessarily mean harder. A lot of those achievements are ones players don't want to do. I'd rather make Hellenism retake the Roman empire. Doing that as a count under the Byzantines is difficult

you could get the Beta Israel with a custom ruler even if it says you cant. Dont know if they have fixed it now but did that achivement run a month or two ago and it worked
