This is the video about Chuck and the problem he faced Dating a Married Filipina and Dealing with the Husband ruclips.net/video/Z2EaboC2n_g/видео.html In the Philippines, adultery is a criminal offense under Article 333 of the Revised Penal Code. If convicted, both the married woman and her male partner can face imprisonment ranging from two years, four months, and one day to SIX years.
This penalty applies to each act of adultery committed. It's important to note that adultery is considered a private crime, meaning only the offended spouse can initiate legal action against the offenders.

Hey!!a please read this and pass on! I am dealing with this now!. It's called VAWC when a man abandons his family. If he wants to extort you for adultery, you have your girlfriend prosecute him for Violence Against Women and Children. VAWC is defined (loosely) as abandonment of financial, emotional, physical, support. It's a much worse crime and restitution. Did he teach his son to play basketball? No? Guilty! Etc. Etc.
Deadbeat dad's here have that threat against them, that's why they don't pursue other men sleeping with their wives. Pass this on please. We did our own legal research, then confirmed it with several lawyers and hired one for protection and had the ex served! Is it blackmail? As you so cleverly asked? Nope, just a mutual understanding!!
So never pay a f'n dime to the scumbag!

@ronfesta771 Hmmm, risk 7 years in a Phillipines jail, or 7 years married to a western woman that will take your kids, turn them against you, and take more than half your shit,
      That's a tough one!
From what I've seen, Phillipino jails are more squalid than a US prison. But they have many more freedoms and seem safer and more relaxed. Families can come and go and stay for meals, etc. Some low-level centers don't even lock the main gate! After all, you're on an island. Where are you gonna go? I think the show Locked Up Abroad has a story of a white woman in for drug smuggling, which under Duterte could have been an instant death sentence. It's hot and dirty, but it's not as repressive as a state/federal penitentiary.
The YT channel World Zoom documents his detention experience. It was worse than a regular PH prison in some ways and better in others. The worst thing here is the miserable justice system and the fact you have to bribe everyone for every little thing, including judges, just to get any process. Notice I didn't say "Due Process," as that doesn't really exist here for the most part, at least not without bribe money.

    • @michaelpettit9706
      @michaelpettit9706 Месяц назад +1

Yes they can be expensive and timely for a generic Annulment. However in cases of fraud, severe abuse, underage marriage, it can take as little as 6 months. We recieved quotes of anywhere from P80k - P300k.
The farther the lawyer is from the Venue the more expensive. Also the backlog of the courts in that jurisdiction is the main factor for time. If the Filipina moves to an area with less backlog the process will go faster, especially if the lawyer graduated law school with the current judge.
Connections and Venue are everything here.
But yes, it's a tedious process.
As a side note, every time the divorce referendum is brought up it gets closer to approval. The main opposition is the Catholic Church, which has enormous, but dwindling power here.
Legalization of divorce will speed things up. After all, as it currently stands, Annulment is just divorce by another name, in many cases.

Chuck can counteroffer the husband with:
    1. Family Code of the Philippines (Executive Order No. 209)
Article 194 defines support as including everything essential for sustenance, dwelling, clothing, medical attendance, education, and transportation, in line with the family’s financial capacity.
Article 195 obligates parents to provide support to their legitimate, illegitimate, and adopted children.
Article 196 ensures that the duty to provide support exists whether the parents are married or not, and this responsibility extends even if the parents are separated.
    2. Republic Act No. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004)
This law includes economic abuse, which can occur when a father fails to provide financial support for his children. A mother can file a case under this law if the father neglects his obligation.
    3. Revised Penal Code
Article 349 penalizes parents who abandon their children without justification. If a husband neglects his duty to support his children, he may be held criminally liable under certain circumstances.

Wow! Truly unbelievable, that in a country with so many women to choose from, Chuck doubles-down and digs himself a hole so big that he may never escape from it. That's way too much risk for too little reward! Neither Chuck's girlfriend or her family were fully transparent with him about her marital status. Why would he want to be connected to a woman and family who openly deceived him? If they will deceive him about something as important as that, just imagine what else they will lie about! If there were just one person in her entire family with the tiniest shred of decency, they would have tapped him on the shoulder and took him aside and said, "Chuck, she's a married woman." But they didn't do that! And why? Because whether he knows it or not, Chuck is going to be their meal ticket. There is a high probability that they are all working together and playing the long game on poor ole gullible Chuck. And even if Chuck's girlfriend is actually legit and tries to protect him, someone in that sleezy family will try to extort him. Eventually, Chuck will be extorted for all he's worth and then cast aside like a dirty rag the minute a bigger fish comes swimming by. And last but not least, just image how complicated Chuck's life will be if his girlfriend gets pregnant! Like Mike said, "Run Chuck! RUNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!"

      @cmscms123456 Grow up?
      Your foolishness is showing.
Sexuality, contrary to the propaganda, is CENTRAL to worldview.
      1. A man who loves his wife & children is motivated to work hard to provide for them. Through his family, wealth may be built over generations.
      2. A man who eschews family life choosing instead to buy toys & take trips is an endless consumer, a slave to the system. He works to spend. He builds nothing tgat lasts and nobody remembers him 20yrs after his death UNLESS he was a popular entertainer.
      3. A man who enjoys using young women then discarding them, leaves a wake of regret, sadness & loneliness In many women.
      4. Broken families multiply poverty & crime 70 fold.
      5. People whose worldview causes them to despise normal society often work to undermine it, delighting in the destruction.
      (Oscar W)
Not all homosexuals delight in destruction. (Most appear to prefer being a part of society, actually). I've known some deeply hurt by childhood trauma & riddled w mental illnesses. They so wished for fatherly live they turned to men as lovers, literally!
I've known some females who, while they had serious issues, they were able to function normally in society -mostly. I greatly respected one who raised her son (from grape) as carefully as she could, ensuring there was a straight man in their life who gave much male influence to the boy. Another, became my friend after I supported her vs unjust accusations from a Christian girl who had been assigned as her roommate.
I carefully guarded another all through Afghanistan, only to see her send her brains to the ceiling of a hotel room after we got back. Until that moment, she'd fit in well most of the time.
We won't get into the insanity of telling a retiree w 4 grown children, 3 grandchildren and a new bride (who can't wait for her own children) to "grow up" despite his success in business, education & life to "grow up." Bc that would be petty, right?
Let's instead keep the emphasis upon FACTS, ok?
      Little known facts?
      1. The highest suicide rates in USA are in the trans community, also tge highest medical expenses per capita, and the shortest life expectancies.
      2. The highest domestic violence rates are actually not man on woman or even man on man, but woman on woman.
      3. Suicide rates for married straight men skrocket after failure in business, loss of their marriage or loss of a job, bc they perceive that as loss of purpose & shame for not being able to care for their family. Yet, among the successfully employed married straight men, this is the lowest demographic for suicide.
4.. Suicide rates among lower end homosexual men is complicated. It is officially approximately the same as divorced men & jobless men. But experts insist it is vastly higher & clamor for resources (deaf ears). They say 2/3 of homosexual suicides are listed as drug overdoses instead, for political reasons.
Despite my psych degree, that isn't my field. I focus on young adults + family issues. While there I'd some overlap, I must listen to those who specifically service those communities.

Ethically and morally, he's in the wrong, but it's his life. He needs to know that It really doesn't cost a lot of money to file charges in the Philippines, so just cutting and running isn't a good thing. Especially since it would place a clearance hold on his exit visa should he try to leave the Philippines quickly. Seems to me that he is just going deeper down the rabbit hole.

    • @jasonjames4254
      @jasonjames4254 Месяц назад +2

Exactly! Even if her husband can't afford a lawyer, there are actually some very low cost or no cost legal services available in the Philippines. The Public Attorney's Office (PAO) being one of them. The filing fee can even be waived if the plaintiff is indigent. It's possible that a complaint could be filed for nothing other than a few pesos to pay someone to type up a boilerplate complaint. And even if that complaint was totally bogus, it would still place Chuck on a legal hold and deny him an exit clearance. They could even arrest Chuck the next time he appears to renew his tourist visa and hold him until a judge grants bail. Yes, a rabbit hole that is completely not worth it!

Is it still wrong if you date a divorced woman in the US (or other western country). Assuming that's not an issue for you, that's an absurd take. Clearly in most cases these women would get a divorce if the PH legal system allowed for that and by pushing a no tolerance policy you're basically condemning them to a sad lonely life.
The simply fact is there needs to be divorce in The Philippines and these people (men and women) are caught in a very unfortunate situation and they deserve some compassion.

😳…..wait, what about a guy from the U.S., gets married to a Filipina - in the Philippines. All legal - paperwork done properly. She then immigrated to the U.S. and eventually gains her U.S. citizenship - married over 10 years. A few years later they get divorced in the U.S. (community property state & all court docs are legit & filed - uncontested - done deal).
🤔….so, is this guy divorced in the U.S., but still legally married to her in the Philippines?
Plot twist: After the divorce was completed, she went to San Fran. Philippine Embassy and got her Philippine citizenship back. Now she has dual citizenships.

There is a law in the Philippines that says if the husband does not provide spousal support or child for 7 years, then the couple are legally separated. All Chad needs to do is wait 2 more years.
Law also allows a Filipina to sue her husband for the child support and spousal support. Chad could fly back to the USA while he provides her the money to sue her husband. When the case is done, Chad can legally be with her again.
I think Chad is doing the right thing if he loves this woman. The husband obviously doesn’t care about his wife or children and is being selfish. Catholics can and do get divorced, even though the church frowns upon it.

Well, unfortunately, they aren't enforceable because the vast majority of women are too poor to seek legal help to bring forth charges for dead beat dads who leave for no reason other than to seek another woman, or to escape from having to work hard to support their children. Need money to pay for legal services to go after men for paternity cases, runaway fathers, etc. Need money to pay the police to act on violations of these codes. However, a foreigner has money, or at least access to money (Visa/Mastercard) or ATM withdrawal, and is at higher risk of being charged based on the codes under Executive Order 209.

The majority of foreigners living in the Philippines are with filipinas that are already married. There are dozens of foreigners living in the Philippines with you tube channels. It would be earthshattering if one posted a scan of their marriage license. They won't
do it. Why? Hmm go figure. Anyway as far as I know it isn't illegal to date a married woman in the US. Jerry Seinfeld, Joe Biden, and Ray Kroc all dated married women. Eventually the married women they dated divorced their husbands to marry them. Hence it isn't that uncommon. However it is illegal to do that in the Philippines. I think the solution is to avoid women with children and you should be okay.

Wow, well ... like you said, it's up to each and everyone personally. But just to give my opinion, to calling it a bluf, is not the brightest decision he can make.
To prosecute and file a case is actually pretty cheap. The defense can become costly. Especially if he scouts for some fundraising with the promise they will also share the profit with the fundraisers ones they win the case or more likely, when they settle the case after he received a notification that a charge has been filed against him. And he will settle the matter because it's getting hot under his feet.
To give a notice of prosecution only costs a couple hundreds of pesos. Don't think its more than 5k or so. Either way, they can come up with that money.
I wish him the best. It's a personal matter only they can decide about how they move forward with this. But it does not sound relaxed having this always hovering above their heads.
