    I find your language lessons that are in Chinese (with English and Chinese subtitles) super useful. It's like I'm learning Chinese while I'm learning Chinese!

    This is a very concise explanation of tricky grammar that is missing in most classroom settings. Thanks so much for filling in the gaps!

      Yes, we share the same faith. I think it was too complicated when I came across these terms last year. If you keep working hard, you will undertand these terms very well. I really love this clip! Thanks a lot for a crystal clear explanation.

    today I'm going to focus on this lesson thank you very much, it is a good one because I have been reading words and been wondering and here is the answer. I would like to humbly suggest that is if you still agree to it; The number 1 sentence would you consider "Did you clearly listen to what the teacher said?'" the same as #2. Thank you once again and now to learn this lesson well.

  • @tobeMomoHana

    “好”只表示动作完成,并不表示结果好坏。妈妈做好饭了,但并不代表饭做的是好是坏。字典释义:用在动词后(作补语),表示完成、完毕。

    Didn't understand 见/到,
    遇 is sense verb?
    And I made a mistake just in # 4: I decided that 听完.
    Everything else is very useful, for example, the difference between 错 and 坏.
    谢谢您的视频!

    1. 我妹妹把我的笔记本拿走了。
    2. 妈妈做好了饭。
    3. 我知道清楚她的人家了。
    4. 我听见了你唱歌。
    5. 我拿错了行李箱。
    6. 我没看完这本书。

      I'm just wondering about no. 3. I think that 人家 usually means "somebody" or "other people". According to the dictionary, it can also mean "family", but I have not seen it used that way. For "family members" I would use 家人. As for 知道 I think this is usually for knowing facts, rather than knowing people. My guess for no. 3 would be 我现在熟悉清楚她的家人. This is a little different from the teacher's answer, so I don't know if it's correct or not.

      @dvonnwilcher9276 2 года назад

      @@mountaintag oops, you're right about 人家/家人. i just got the two mixed up. as far as 知道 goes, i was taught it can mean knowing _of_ people instead of knowing them directly (认识). let's see what the teacher says

    • @DengdengsDiary
      @DengdengsDiary 2 года назад

      @@mountaintag we don't say 熟悉清楚sb. because 熟悉 means “know sth well, be familiar with”, 清楚 also means "know sth well, clear".

    • @DengdengsDiary
      @DengdengsDiary 2 года назад

      @@dvonnwilcher9276 "知道sb" always means you know sb's name, appearance, or job (simple information). For example, you can say "我知道邓邓,她是汉语老师。(I know Dengdeng, she is a Chinese teacher. But I only know this much about her.)" If you know sb well, we don't use 知道。

    Could you also say 我把行李箱拿错了?

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  2 года назад

      Yes, you can also say 我把行李箱拿错了。

    • @mountaintag
      @mountaintag 2 года назад

      I think that in a previous lesson, we were told that when the 把-construction is used, it refers to something specific. So 我把行李箱拿错了 could mean something like "I took that piece of luggage by mistake". Compared to 我拿错了行李箱 meaning "I took the wrong luggage" (a non-specific piece of luggage).

    This grammar is quite difficult. (Probably because it's so different to English grammar that it's hard for me to understand intuitively.)

    • @enricobrasil
      @enricobrasil 2 года назад

      It's not that different from English in many cases:

      tear OPEN 拆开
      take AWAY 带走

    It really doesn't help learning the result complement whilst not knowing the rest of the words in a long sentence. Simplify, simplify or there will be insuperable translation problems for struggling students.
