I havee the very first Meet The Beatles album sold in New York at King Karol records, (42nd st. & 6th ave.) On January 10th, 1964... 6 days before the official release. The owner, Ben Karol, signed the back.
I really enjoy your show on XM Channel 18, but I did not know you were on youtube. This is worth subscribing to. Thanks for all the great Beatle music and stories.
Great unboxing Caitlin. Listen to you all the time on the Beatles channel. I emailed you my artwork of John Lennon last spring. Not sure if you remember but you were encouraging listeners to send their artwork in, so I did. Again, great NOT FOR SALE PROMMOTIONAL COPY unboxing. I'm jealous!!!

The reason a Hard Days Night is in it is because Capitol Records (now part of UMG) now owns the United Artists Catalogue, including A Hard Days Night. I would have loved if you compared the first album with your original 1964 first issue. It would have been interesting to see how faithful that were to the original. I haven't seen any reviewer do that yet.

The Early Beatles was created to replace Introducing The Beatles which was discontinued in 1964 after Capitol took legal action. I wish they had made a replica of that instead for this set. The Early Beatles omits There's A Place and Misery and since it was actually released in '65 it's an odd addition.
The UK retail price for the new The Beatles 1964 US Albums In Mono box set is $250.60 (199.99 GBP), while we are being charged a lot more in the US, retailed here at $299.98. We are being overcharged here in the US! What a rip-off Apple/Universal! Shame on you all.
The box set is made in the EU (France) therefore, shipping costs are more to send to the U.S. So, I'm sure that is the reason for the additional cost in the U.S.
@@sgtpepper7041 The individual LPs are also made in France and they still have to ship tons of them to the US, yet the retail price of $29.98 is the same around the world. You have to pay $130 more than the price of getting all the individual albums just to get the Beatles Story and the box.
This makes me wish I owned a record player and got into thr vinyl hype. For any vinyl Beatles users, even if you're European like me, this is a beautiful box set and personally think the price isn't too bad due to the collectable nature of it. It's be like the Mono album box sets from 2011, people will wish they had got them when they were available

Everything about this release is so disappointing :( They're supposed to be replicas, but they didn't replicate the covers correctly. So they're not proper replicas. The 2014 mono box set was virtually a perfect replica of the original UK 1st pressings (MMT aside - this was the american cover). Speaking of the 2014 mono box, the decision to put "The Beatles In Mono" on the front of this box is disgusting to me. It's clearly trying to trick people into buying this box because they think they're getting a product which is comparable to the 2014 Beatles In Mono set. They are banking on fans not doing research, and they're probably gonna make a ton of money doing it. They know fans are desperate for a 2014 mono set repress, so they do this underhanded marketing trickery to fool young, naive, and ignorant buyers. It's a real shame they botched this release, because I think this was a great opportunity to have a really fun celebration of the Beatles' US releases.
Great unboxing is Right, with such enthusiasm! Well done! Looking forward to my Beatles box set.🙏
Nice job Caitlin. My boxed set is in transit from the U.K. I’ll be doing an unboxing/review of it on my RUclips channel when it arrives.
Thanks for the video Caitlin, the albums look great.
I have no idea how this sounds, but after looking at this unboxing, I went crazy and ordered one for myself. Great presentation!
Mine is due this Friday, thank you for sharing this beautiful box !!
Thanks for magical video! You are a greatest!!!

I just got the "Second Album" at my Walmart yesterday. I have an original copy of "Something New."
Big time flex there when you showed the Not For Sale sticker

It's called a 4 panel insert. Not acetate. That was the sticker on the tape box replica referring to the tape.

Hey Cait… I actually have the Beatles Story, 2 record set…. Not sure if you knew that… lol
I do! I used to look at it when I was little ❤️

Ur on the Beatles channel on sxm right?
My Hard Days Night album actually has a purple capitol label on it. Did they reprint them later on?
Yes they did, around 1979.
That’s a 70s pressing most likely
@@johncarsell1205 That explains the purple label. Thx.
Oh thanks!
Fingers crossed I get my copy🤞
Tks Cat
The Fab 4 Forever! ☮
Don’t really know why people get so excited about opening records that they already have and have listened to a million times
Don't really know why people have to shit on others for having a hobby that they enjoy.
@ Yes, That’s terrible isn’t it???
What guitar is in the case?!

Yeah I agree it’s a little weird but since it’s a Capitol albums set you can’t really throw in a VeeJay I suppose.
@CaitlinLarkin They threw in a "United Artists" record though. Just sayin'.... ;^>
@@spicy321 yeah but they had a partnership back in the 60s so I assume it must have to do with that? Idk I could be way off.
So jealous. I have a mostly beatles youtube channel. I want apple corp to send me stuff!
Where did you order your set from? Do they all come with the t shirt?
Apple sent it to me in the same package but they have tons of other shirts on their webstore
who are your friends at apple?
All of them lol

Americans always get good deals and great prices, compared to the rest of the world. It's about time the pendulum swung the other way!
Get over it.
Not for me.. got all the old records!
They’re great too
i luv the cover cd box set compare the vinyl my opinion
