I still have my 1964 mono copy of The Beatles Story. It's not in the best of condition considering I was a grade schooler playing it on an old tube RCA Victrola record player that smelled of machine oil with a tone arm needle that looked like a sewing needle! It's amazing to think that in the span of 10 months starting in the 2nd week of Feb. 1964, I (or rather my parents on my behalf with me in tow) purchased "Meet The Beatles", "The Beatles 2nd Album", "Introducing the Beatles" on Veejay, "The Beatles Story", A Hard "Day's Night", "Something New, Something New", and "Beatles '65". That's 7 albums in 1 year from the same group PLUS all the singles released on Tollie, Swan, Veejay, Capitol and Atco! It wasn't until the end of the next year with "Rubber Soul" did I finally buy a Beatles LP in stereo and have a stereo record player.
I actually grabbed a still sealed copy of the 2004 Beatles on Capitol CD set and I must say that I really enjoy it. I enjoy the nuance of the Capitol stuff. It's different... and the Cds sound good.

So a big no from me. To the original UK mastered lp´s in mono in the box I would say yes but to this...... I gladly pass
@ nope. If you saw my husband’scollection, he’s a big collector. Yup, he will definitely have the albums without the box, but that box and that insert are an added bonus. You know, we’re in our mid to late 60’s. He has original 1st printing’s of mostly everything the Beatles has ever put out, not to mention printings from various countries of the same albums sealed, and a copy for play. So while you probably weren’t born yet, he was collecting original pressing’s insuring one that would be played and one that would be sealed. So I do know what a true collector is, and he by no means is a fool. Just a smart from the fan/collector of the Beatles from the start and end of the career’s. Can you say that?
@@mjanovec yup, I know that there is not an extra booklet. Thank you for the info though 😊
the box design looks crap ! could of done something different to the singles boxset
*could've
☕😳
Another useless product. How can you review this when you haven’t played it?!
As it is absolutely HORRENDOUS sounding vinyl! THAT is the awful news!
That cutting of orders is to hype this boxset. I can easily get it here in The Netherlands.
I played it and yes on high end equipment on a proper recordplayer with seperate mono stylus and cartridge.
Got my box last week and went for sale again right away. I stick to my 60’s original Beatles pressings.
“Huge problem” 🙄 This is the kind of cheap, annoying clickbait that results in no like/no subscribe.
