Merceditas es una composición genial de un entreriano Ilustre, Ramón Sixto Ríos, enamorado de Mercedes Strickler Kalhow, hija de inmigrantes alemanes, rubia de ojos azules, de Humboldt, Santa Fé.. Quien por muchos años presidió SADAIC, el pianista Ariel Ramirez la reeditó y desde allí, el olvidado chamamé fué interpretado por grandes músicos entre ellos, Leandro Gato Bartbieri, rosarino jazzman, hoy del mundo. Grandes todos !
This might be my favorite tune by Gato, and that is saying something! He has done such great stuff, blending his native songs with high powered Jazz. He also attracts other great musicians, and all are committed to the whole feeling that Gato sources. He is a true treasure. Thanks for this posting!
