I installed by your video that made it's simple, thanks much, I going to have a warm bathroom now!
☃️❄️☃️Good weekend job installing your new hearer fan ☃️❄️☃️
Thanks just helps a lot, my blower motor came with the sensor attached to it but the instructions say nothing about hooking it up it just says to connect the wires together which the sensor is not in my heater it was attached to the blower motor... I seen the hole for the sensor with the two screw holes and figured that's where it was going but wanted to be sure.
thank you very much...big need to know !!!!
Thank You.
You're welcome
Thanks for the vidio. Good job
So, do you recommend installing the fan? I have a 30,000 BTU Dyna Glo. Will fan make a difference?
so I installed my fan before I mounted my heater to the wall. The bracket sent with my heater kicks the heater a half inch out and away from the wall. On the fan that I bought the fan housing Protrudes a 1/2inch back behind the heater. so when I installed the heater on the wall the fan housing was flat against the wall not allowing any air to enter the fan. I think in a lot of videos on RUclips people say that the fan does nothing. Or it is worthless, my fan works great I noticed that protrusion of the fan and I spaced my heater out an additional half inch.
just like this video I have the same fan I can just about guarantee you're not getting the airflow that I am same bracket that I have did not notice you spacing your bracket out away from the wall for allowance of the fan housing sticking back Toward your wall a half inch. Unless you space your bracket out a half inch to allow space between the backside of the fan and your wall you're wasting your time putting it in.
Update 11-28-20
And one last thing I can easily reach behind my heater and turn my fan to auto off or on with the additional half-inch of spacing. This heater that I have is awesome heats my house to 70° on 1 3/4 on the dial. These heaters are awesome but they don't make the brackets to hang the heaters with enough spacing if you want to include the fan option.
Fans are for the units that have the feet that sit on the floor.
I done a dyn a glow and it seems AA lots easier 😮
One thing to note is that the 1st item you plugged in was the thermostat to operate the fan. If you have your heater set at a lower temperature setting like below 2 the fans thermostat may not operate to turn on the blower. I wish these were adjustable.
On mine the fan doesn't work on auto, is there something I missed?
Is there supposed to be 2 thermostats total? Or just one. I ask this because there is one included in the heater and one more that came with the heater
@@melaniemcnitt74 I am not sure, mine shuts down when temp is reached, but the fan doesn't ever turn on in (auto mode).
Thanks for your input 🙂
@@Jester12036 thanks for your input 🙂
I cant find anything related to this anywhere but does anyone have issues with the top of their mr heater getting hot? like the knob area and the entire upper portion. Mine is getting uncomfortably hot to the touch and I feel like the only solution is to install the blower fan to exhaust the built up heat out through the front vents. Which makes me wonder why they dont just install the fans to begin with.
I have a 20,000 BTU Lost River and there's no where to connect the blower thermostat to so what can I do?
Fan worked one time. Now it runs constantly on auto with heater turned off. Any ideas?
I just bought one today and there not secrewed in any more.It is no like a elctrical box breakout-----Just wanted to add that and its welded pretty good lol.Same model.
@@Londo_Mollari I had to take a grinder and grind it out.Not a good idea sice i was a welder for 30 yrs.The grinder will bite yo hard.If you can use a dremell an just cut the tacks.Yea it was even rough for me.
What's the fan worth it
Isn't the intake for the fan obstructed by the wall?
Can you turn the fan on manually with it against the wall?
Will the fan turn on automatically if the heater is set on 2 or below?
David Mc intake for fan not obstructed.. yes you can turn on fan manually.. yes fan will turn on automatically if set on 2 or below
Does it need the fan? Is it only for circulating the warm air?
it is not required but it helps circulate the air better
Good video, but I gotta say, that gas line is really hokey. I would never pipe mine in like that. It's certainly not up to code and I don't feel like it's safe.
good vid. but the fan is useless and waste of time and money. just got one. sucks same cold air from outside back to the front. air dose not circulate thru the unit (bottom to top) like any heating blower.
How long would you say the blower fan cord is?
4-5 feet total but once its out from behind the wall heater you only have about 2 feet
Do you find the blower fan helps with circulation and the ability to heat more square footage?
NSX Properties yes it helps a lot.
no it dose not
Not much and it's loud at night. I just put a stand fan in the area. Problem solved
Not worth the $40 for the fan.
It doesn't blow much at all.
I've had my 30,000 BTU convection ventless gas heater with a fan installed 22 years ago on my wall, and I really never use the fan. However; my home stays warm without its use, too.
The wire that you connect the blower unit too, is that part of the heater or did that come with the blower unit? I have a 30k btu wall heater and the blower fan however the neither has the thermostat sensor.
came with the heater. hmm maybe that model doesn't have the sensor.
I just purchased the furnace and bought the fan kit, however after prying off the access plate, no sensor wire is inside, only a spot where one goes? I guess that is an item I need to purchase also
@@putawaywet1 Call Mr. Heater because their supplier of the fan unit sent out a lot of them without the electrical connection. I called them and they told me they would send it to me however I could take more than 3 weeks for it to show up. I'm on week 4 right now
So the heater blower will not effect drywall?
Steven Burrell nope not at all.
How do you like the heater itself? Been looking at buying one I have a 500 sq ft garage
We like ours and It heats up really well. Definitely recommend.
We just bought a 30,000 for ours
I have liked my 30,000 BTU heater mounted on the wall for the past 22 years in my home; works very well!!
Is this in a garage?! Does it seem to make alot of moisture/humidity in there?!
Not in a garage.
So is the blower actually contributing to heat in the room or is it more of an exhaust type of thing?
The blower helps move the heat around. It blows the hot air out of the heater.
@@CronesVlog thank you. Figured it wouldn't be effective cause it was blowing against the wall. Looking for something to great a large room.
Yo Co it definitely makes a difference rather than not having it.
My heater is on the floor...so all i have to do is take out the back plate and install the blower right?? I don't have to disconnect the gas and take off the faceplate right?
@@greybird4257 shouldn't have to I've removed front part while heater still installed to floor and gas line.
i find that fan doesnt do much. i use it in my 2 car garage and unless youre directly infront of the heater...its pretty useless. My heater is 30,000 btu .
Read my comment I posted here it might give you some insight about your fan
the wire that attached to the heater for the blower, mines didnt come with that, what is that called
You will need to read the owners manual not all have this option
Our fan don't work on automatic, only manual, any suggestions? We already returned the first one to the store but this doesn't work either
Sounds like the thermostat not the fan.
@@CronesVlog thanks, we changed the thermostat and it still hasn't worked on automatic, even when setting the heat on higher settings. But we can still use it on manual anyways..
@@melaniemcnitt74 our fan works intermittently on auto. Usually after the flame cuts off. Seems kinda pointless. We have a cheap fan on the wall near the ceiling directly above the heater and it’s oscillates. The ceiling in the cabin is at least 30 degrees warmer with no circulation. (This heater as with most mr heaters spill 90% of the heat straight up in the air due to lack of quality blowers) The added (Cheap... Amazon) fan has cut down on cycle count and the length of burn time too. Hope this helps.
@@ryanhendricks7038 thanks for your help
shut off valve is on the wrong side it should stay on the supply line not the heater makes me wonder about the rest of this video even though it is mostly correct just wonder how the fan draws air
Long Way around just take the Wall heater off the wall 😊
I had no wore pulled through. There is a hole there but no wire
i had same problem came with no censer on the unit
Did either of you find a thermostat for the Blower?
I installed a one of these in my basement and it runs on natural gas, but is does smell when it operates, is any one experiencing the same issue?
Ali Al Qayyim ours don’t have any smell
You have a minor leak, shut down now. Before it goes boom. You should not smell gas. Period
How does the blower fan get enough air if it’s up against the wall?
It’s not 100% against the wall it is roughly about 1-2 inches away from wall
@@CronesVlog "Spacers"
Because they sell the feet and fans separately so the heater can sit anywhere on the floor
How did you get rid of the carbon monoxide poison?
theyre vent free. i run one in my garage and it never sets off my carbon monoxide detector
Have no idea why you removed the face of the heater and removed the spacers when all you had to do was take the heater off of the wall.
@@wallacesmith689 The screws hold the spacers in place. They are not screwed into the wall, at least not on two of these units I have installed. The heater hangs on the wall bracket and the weight of the heater holds it in place.
I have one of these and the screws (supplied) go through the spacers and into wall anchors also supplied. You have to unscrew them to take it down.
Feel free to vote, should I install (Yes), OR, should I not install it and trash it/resell it (No)? So, I'm in a similar situation, where I do not have screws to remove the panel and have to deal with the breaking out the welded panel. From what I'm reading it really isn't worth it?? I didn't buy it separately, it was in a bundle (BUT NOT PRE-INSTALLED). Not worrying about the money but I'm getting the feeling that I am just going to go thru all of that and be very disappointed and mad. I had a Big Buddy heater that came with the blower but it was battery operated. I never used it (4 D Batteries). I tried it once and felt the same as some have mentioned here, it was just blowing around cold air. So, install??? Yes or No. (No)
To baf mr heaters engineers thought it was a god idea to tack weld that plate instead of 4 simple screws... Smfh
