I’m glad they’re bringing more bizarre and unknown villains into the movie
I hope the spider verse movies use big wheel
I’m here bro lol
Agreed
I wish they'd rework Big Wheel to be part of The Jury from Lethal Protector.
@@sboinkthelegday3892 I'd love that and get bruce Campbell to play him
Really surprised they don't do much with this guy....... thinking up Portals is a pretty powerful ability, and he has what may be the best version of it. And the fact that he's a villain means he can get away with going all out and can do SO much to hinder the heroes.
the thing you have to remember is that the spot has no real end goal nor dose he want to really hurt anyone he doesn't even really hate spiderman that much he just sorta became a supervillian because he felt that was his only option and he was tired of taking shit from others so he has no reason to use his powers on that scale
@@aawallace98 That's not necessarily a deal breaker through... after all, he starts out working for Wilson Fisk as apart of the backstory. So he could show up in just about any spot where the Kingpin is involved working for him and using his powers to assist the other villains under Kingpin's request/orders.
Something like..... in an abridged universe:
"Hey, I have a thing going on at this location at this time and I'm pretty sure either Spiderman or Daredevil is going to show up and try to stop it. Think you could be there and delay them long enough for my other guys to finish what their doing? I'll give you a big bonus to help out with your next science thingy if you do."
"Okay."
Yeh these comments didn't age well... you'll guys enjoy seeing spot become powerful and mixed morales as prowler
Ironic how they made just that with the movie.
@@jacksonspenneberg5060 I can live with my comment not aging well.... at least on this topic.
I’m actually surprised this guy was only C-tier villain for all these years with a power like this. The idea sounds stupid on paper but in execution it’s kinda cool. Not the flashiest power but they don’t need to be flashy to work
I’m so happy that spot was treated seriously in the movie. He’s legitimately threatening, both in how he looks (after a certain point) and what he’s going to do
I love the way they subvert the entire film with how he's introduced as some random generic villain like at the start of a lot of spiderman movies and games, but he just stays as this persistent threat growing more and more dangerous as time goes on
I think he looks disturbing from the beginning when they opted for the “hole face no eyes” design.
Spot is truly underrated given his intelligence coupled with these powers.
But now, we need a Spot vs. PolkaDot Man breakdown! 😅
I admittedly never took the Spot serious as a villain. And I never would have thought his origin would have anything to do with Cloak. Pretty cool.
I'm so glad The Spot is getting the 'spot'light.. I'm so hyped to see him in the movie. I've loved his character ever since I saw him in Spider-Man the animated series. I really don't get why he's considered a joke either cause his powers are awesome and so is his design.
I first heard of him in the cartoon and had spectacular spider-man 100. I was a fan instantly, he is interesting and different. Not motivated by greed but scientific curiosity. Thanks for another great origin video!
It turns out the Spot was in the first movie as the scientist who got hit with the bagel but he got mutated by the super collider during the final battle.
Unpopular opinion: I like the fact that the Spot’s powers have a different origin than the one in the comics. I know people like different characters be connected, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it just makes some characters feel diluted and convoluted. I feel like Spot is more of his own character in the movie while still keeping him interesting. I’m not saying the comics aren’t interesting or bad, I just like the direction of the movie more.
Yeah, they kept the core essence but the changes they made actually made him make sense as the big bad. Instead of just immediately wanting to be a supervillain, he's resentful over how he's now a freak that even his own family rejects.
How did you see the movie before it came out?
Spot: **finds out he can travel through space and time and even to other dimensions**
Also Spot: “Whoa! King Pin is totally gonna give me a raise!”
I love how Spot finds out that he can literally travel through space and time yet he still decides to continue to work for King Pin and calls himself an “equally dangerous threat” compared to King Pin as if he isn’t infinitely more powerful. 💀💀
I know right! this man has NO self worth!
Whats even more scary is that Peter most likely knew Miles would have to throw the bagel to so he included the part where he takes the bagel and runs when he explained how he would infiltrate alchemax
Peter hadn’t known about the multiverse then. It’s likely during the 1 year gap that Peter joined the spider society. Remember at the end of ITSV lyla gives Miguel the prototype watch and tells him he’d be the first one to travel across the multiverse on purpose.
So basically during the gap of 1st and 2nd film, Miguel replaced his deceased alternate self and created the spider society
Seeing how Spot kept up with the Spidermen reminded me of another portal making dude in black spandex who's considered the spiderman of his universe.
I love the Spot so much. He’s just such an interesting idea for a villain and has almost limitless potential
The Spot is such a unique Marvel Villain.
90's animated Spider-man series introduced me to the spot and I loved it. ❤
0:18 "he's been around for 2 decades"
*proceeds to tell us that he debuted 38 years ago*
Thank you! Hope I’m not the only one to notice 😮
The 90s animated Spiderman TV show was the 1st time I saw Spot too. Great episode and thought he was a really cool villain!
What would happen if Spot fought against heroes like Cloak and Dagger? What do you think Spot would be like if he had both of their powers?
There would definitely be a lot of teleporting
Gotta admit, The Spot definitely has one of the more unique powers out of Spider-man’s entire Rouges gallery.
There’s also the kind of mutation in his powers that occurred during that award winning Mark Waid run on Daredevil (issues #18-21) with Chris Samnee (art) Matt Wilson (colors) and Paolo Rivera on covers
*Before Across The Spider-Verse*
“Ever heard of The Spot?”
“Who?”
*After Across The Spider-Verse*
“Ever heard of The Spot?”
“Of course.”
At first i seen him as a joke in Across the Spider Verse but then soon realized he could be a real threat once he gets the hang of his powers!! Im glad for things like this it introduces new characters and makes me want to know more about them!!
He can travel the universe freely to that’s the best ability ever
I remember seeing the Spot in the 90s Spider-Man animated series. What type of role is he going to play in the upcoming Across the Spider-Verse movie?
Are you going to do history of Marvel's Morlun and the Inheritors since they might be the main villains of the upcoming Across the Spider-Verse movie?
It seems that Spot replaces Morlun and the Inheritors as the main villain of both Across and Beyond the Spiderverse.
I like how Spot was given a British accent in Spider-Man the animated series
Should introduce the Spot in Venom with Spidey it be dope
the spot was great in across the spider-verse! his monologue was chilling and beautifully animated
I’m psyched they are taking some of these “C” list villains and showing how they can be very deadly when one thinks about it.
Origin of the spot
*Bagel*
Imagine if Spot became a secondary antagonist in the Multiverse Saga
“Spider Man’s fist goes through one of his holes”. Giggitty
Food for thought: In all his appearances, Spider-Man himself never defeats The Spot. The Spot always defeats himself or gives up after getting hit a single time.
Spot has never really TRIED before. He's always too much of a punchline. Even the 90s series realized he's damn near invincible and had to give him a love interest so that Kingpin stood a chance against him.
Only time I ever remember seeing the spot was the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, so when I saw he’s gonna be the villain of across the spider verse I was surprised
6:14 I instantly fell in love with spot prowler rocket racer back in the Spider-Man animated season and other iconic characters 💯
Just watched the Movie…. it was awesome!
i hope the deep thoughts with arris continues that was hilarious and i enjoyed watching it
I always loved the SPOT.I had the comics of his origin as a kid ,and I always felt Marvel under utilized him im their universe.Cant wait or see him on the Big Screen
Cartoon physics eat your heart out.😂 I haven't seen the movie yet, but the Spot in the clips I've seen is hilarious and amazingly freaky.
The guy is a walking portal
The spot also made his animated debut in the Disney XD Spider-Man 2017 series as well.
Spot: you created me
Officer Morales: Spiderman why did you create this guy?
I've always loved the Spot since the 90s cartoon, he has a cool power and I'm happy to see him get the SPOTlight as the main villain on the silver screen.
Reminds me of Cream (Vanilla Ice’s stand in JoJo part 3) and some of Obito’s Kamui
Can you do the history of zorro, judge dredd, Cassie hack, qwenpool, hit monkey, vamperrella, moon girl & devil dinosaur and league of extraordinary gentlemen
The spots always been my favriote spider man villian and I’m glad he’s getting the spotlight for once!
Very underrated character dude can really do some serious damage to anyone, anywhere, anytime
Finally a worthy oponent our battle will be legendary
Love that Kung fu panda reference
I remember him from the animated series
The Spot is one of those villains!
Up there with Shriek and Curare (Batman Beyond), Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze (Batman: TAS)!
Heck Yeah!
watching the film made me unlock the part of my brain from the animated Spider-Man cartoon in the 90's with that sick intro. that and the spot portal tech makes an appearance.
I love seeing that _hacked font, anything to remind that Watch_Dogs was not a total loss
I've always liked The Spot, when watching him in the animated series as a kid part of me wondered what he would be like as a hero.
Does anyone remember he was in the 90s cartoon?
I've been in love w/ Spot since I 1st saw him appear in the 90s cartoon!
3:56 ARRIS, YOU FUCKING BROKE ME!!! I was not expecting you to say that!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
my very favorite since i got to know about him but hes mostly used as joke character so thats a shame
also this dude died and came to life again off screen way too many times
"over two decades" hes been around for around 3 now. Let's give him a bit of respect.
Reminds me of that photo of a basketball spray painted with a paint that is so black that it literally looks like a black hole. I’m glad the spot is the main villain in these new movies as his powers are so interesting
I was... Doing just that when you surprised us with that deep thought.... But I don't think mine was going to another dimension. Best gag I've seen on RUclips in a while.
I'm happy to be a part of Theo and your journey on RUclips
The bagel effect….
My favorite Spider-Man bad guy besides Shocker
Seeing this I wouldn’t mind seeing black cat as a big bad. Like shes a love interest but imagine a venom/ black cat big spider man villain. Oh the things you could change.
Minos prime but with more holes
Spectacular❤😮
"His fist goes right through his holes" . . . . There had to be another way to say that
thank you very much
I used to have the first appearance of spot when I was a kid, sold it in high school to get some mushrooms
Loved The Spot in Spider-Man TAS!
Are you going to do history of Jentorra, Kryler(played by Bill Murray), Multiple Man, Cassie Lang as Stature/Stinger and the city of Chronopolis in honour of the Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumainia movie?
That side intro threw me out, brand new to me and I think everyone else watching
Neat that they decided to bring back a bizarre and lesser known character in Across the Spider-verse and expanded upon him in ways none of the comics have ever done with him. Even making him a multiversal threat where his is a living unstable mass of corrupted energy.
Just one of those villains that is theoretically WAY more powerful than their silver era cartoon dust cloud nonsense would let on. I don't hate campy villains but when ya pause to think "what if he used lethal force?" He get Alot more terrifying.
It all started getting hit by bagel
What do you think is the best thing about Spot in the Comics compared to the other lesser known Spider-Man Villains? Which one of his powers and abilities do you think is the best?
i remember that guy, when the spot first appeared in the animated Series it was the begining of the end specially if all villains started to resort on portals specially the green goblin and then comes the semi clone saga and the "secret wars" sure it gave us the first ever spider-verse but it felt they were running out of ideas
I remember this supervillain growing up in the late 90s. His action figure was sold at KB Toystore along with other marvel characters. Interesting to learn he was inspired by the powers of Cloak which I didn’t know.
You sir are a BOLD FACED LIAR!!! spot was NEVVVVVVVVVER an action figure back in the days. I'm 40+ and was an avid action figure collector. Unless you are talking about the 10in version back in 98(but that shii was trash)
Spoiler he was the guy that got hit by the bagel in the first movie😂
Since you did the history of Midnight Man, Are you going to do history of other Moon Knight villains like Arthur Harrow, Shadow Knight, Bushman, the Zodiac Cartel, Stained Glass Scarlet, Moon_Shade and the Sun-King?
Nice, can you please do videos on other characters that are appearing in Into the Spider-Verse? Like Jessica Drew Spider-Woman and Ben Riley Scarlett Spider.
He got his power from cloak & dagger, sick
looks cool
It all started with a bagel...
Can you do history of the Elementals, Cyclone and Sandman along with Kurt Conners the Lizard, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, Scorpion and the Human Fly along with the Tinkerer, Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer, Living_Brain, and Prowler?
Spider-Man 's reaction lol
He's the guy who got hit with the bagel
I miss this episode. You should do more. My suggestion is Kraven The Hunter, Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly), Kaine Parker, Chameleon and probably make a video about that time J. Jonah Jameson become Mayor please
Ah, the spot, the greatest enemy to people with triphobia
Looks like there's a new Kingpin in the Big Apple!
Could you do a video who spot is in the movie. I could not figure it out
6:25 why would he need to steal money if he can get anything he wants?
When I first watched the movie I thought he was going to just be a punchline villain now he's an awesome villain
Hey hey hey hey! There’s a specific sound cute that appears before “weapons and abilities” 😢
Deep thoughts with Arris caught me unawares🤣🤣🤣🤣
Arris can you do A segment on who is more Brutal
Batman or Green Arrow?
Look Both Share the same Tactics and Techniques on how to Handle Criminals but the real question is who is more sufficient on taking down enemies and criminals
When it Comes to Interrogation, Intimidation and Brute Force?
Bagel man.
Nice to know the Spot's name was always a joke and it was never some serious early-comic name that became outdated
