See I don't only eat Rajdhani thali, Kerala sadya, Karnataka oota and luxury buffets lol. Any other questions you have about my regular Indian food diet? Lemme know! PS This video is a reaction to people who are curious how I stay fit. I'm not asking for diet recommendations as I'm already fit and very happy with my body.
It’s really nice to see how positively you show Bengaluru and south India !! But a humble request is to please please learn Kannada , instead of you using Hindi words which will make us happy and proud ❤…. Best wishes and I’ve been watching all of your videos
All good and never knew about curd rice and that Tadka which was awesome. Will try it very soon. . Just two things. 1. Mustard oil should be smoky hot and once it cools down a little bit, then add things to it. 2. Always add tomato after adding all masalas like Haldi, Red Chilli powder, dhaniya powder etc and saute for a couple of minutes. It will give a very good color.
Watching this while eating my breakfast/lunch and it really made me want to make daal for dinner and afternoon chai with black cardamom (never thought of adding that to my chai, now very curious)! Always appreciate your videos a lot. Inspiring, positive, down to earth honest and real. And of course, I´m also love India and Indian culture.
I started watching Ivana when I was 11-12, I loved seeing a foreigner truly enjoy India and everything the culture offered. I moved to india when I was 14 and learnt about various parts of the country from her. Today I'm 20. Will be moving out soon and now I'm learning Desi recipes from her. Ivana is my virtual Didi now haha💖💖💖
To me this is such a balanced and joyful approach to food. It's refreshing to see ♥️ I've been watching your channel for a long time and its really inspiring to see how you've thoughtfully and and authentically adapted. As an American with a husband from Bengaluru ive been inspired and encouraged to be myself, respectfully, in that amazing city. Lucky for you to live there full time❤❤♥️
Really impressed with your Chai.Very few people can take a massive intake of spices.I also take a mix of seven massalas I.e. Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, cloves,,Licorice(Muleth)i,Holy Bassil and Ginger with my morning tea ( without any sugar or artificial sweetner) .It sounds bizarre, but am taking it since1st wave of Covid believing to be an immunity booster.
Ivana Ma'am what I do is I mix dal chawal (dal rice) and 3 spoon of curd in my dal chawal and mix them all together and that is my most fav dish everre since childhood
@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial I meant that I saw you adding green chillies to the dal! That is awesome! I am Indian but can barely tolerate one odd green chilli in the food! I am not at all talking about just eating chillies as it is or fried even! that is a total different level of tolerance which I dont think I will ever have:)
Tip for making maggi perfect(i don't call exact perfect it's just how I make try it once if you are intrested) 1) boil water first 2) put those Maggie noodles in water 3) let them cook for 2 or 3 min and then they will gets bulge by absorbing water... 4) then add masala...you can add extra items at this time... 5) then cook for some time then your Maggi is ready.... If you do it like this may be your noodles absorb masala very well i think...and better don't eat Maggi daily it will be unhealthy it you do eat daily.....may be 2 or 3 times a week..
I really love the things you eat, breakfast , lunch and dinner. Simple and scrumptious.. I sometimes have a grilled sandwich instead of dinner but with different fillings obviously. I like your lifestyle.
5:38 Instead of Dal try some Smashed Patatoes with Onions/chillies (Basically Aloo Bharta ) it taste good with Curd Rice / Curd and Rice. If you want you Can try Saag for some greens in my Region we eat a lot of Greens espiciallt Saag soo
Cooked Daal and curd rice exactly the same way and it came out so scrumptious that everybody liked it. And I overate. Now curd rice would be a frequent dish in our meals.
I too love ❤ most fav Daal + Chawal + Plain Dahi/Curd(Added on top after Dal Chawal is served on Thaali) and mix them with Hand... But your Twist for Dahi+Chawal combo with Daal seems interesting never heard of it...
Absolutely love the Dhal recipe and the curd rice. Of course chai. I’ll have to try your version of Dhal as I literally live off it. Thank you for sharing 🇮🇳🙏🕉
You can cook tomato along with dal in pressure cooker. And In your tadka you need to increase (not too much) oil littel bit it gives you ultimate taste. Anyhow, you done a good job. Welldone👌
I was very slim in my teen (now 21) but due to lower back injury i was not able to go out so i gained weight. my mum calls me dhaddhu (ढड्डृ) , fat cat in my local language. Thanks for sharing your diet.❤
Nice video. I cannot have dal rice without curd as well. It's a must. I would highly recommend having lime pickle specifically and fried or baked papad (crisps) with it. Super delicious.
Ivana, everything you made are my favorites & chai making is like a pro than Indian. I make them the same way, and I also loved it. Curd rice with dal is the most favorite one among all😍
Ideally the dinner that you eat should be the breakfast that you are taking. Lunch should be your evening snack of noodles. And dinner the lunch (toast bread).. That way you will be eating as per your calorific needs..still maintaining the same menu. Just a suggestion to try out
I'm actually very happy with my body, digestion and fitness. This video is a reaction to people who admire my fitness also haha Why change something that works for me?
You should be eating sweets before dinner coz the sugar in it gets digested in less than a min. and will exit your stomach. When one eats sweets after dinner the sugar ferments and also causes the food to ferment.
Maybe you should make maggi in microwave to save time and washing more utensils. Just add 190ml of water to the 70gm packet and microwave for slightly less than 5 minutes. Let it stand for 2 minutes and its ready!
Good diet...I like the idea of intermittent fasting..that does help one's health very seriously. Funny how people ask you how do you stay thin...You may have to do a video on 'nutrition' or how to eat well in India without weighing 150 kilos...Keep eating like you do...I am not sure how healthy ghee is but how can you not have ghee with Indian dishes ??? LOL' Love the chai recipe !
