Hi Ivanna. I am from Mumbai living in Germany. I can speak German properly. Is it only me or did I really understand Dutch a little bit? Are these languages of similar nature? Wow!
As a foreigner my self who have been living in India, Delhi NCR region i can nothing but agree on all points in this video. My absolute favorite part of this country is easily it's people and then the massive variety of Indian food. It's also in this country i found my one true love.
You are so lucky to be living in India 😊 For me too some of the paper work was traumatic when I was moving to India . I even did Siva puja for smooth transition ❤(now I am back in Switzerland)
Actually, every foriegners think the same way as they move out of their own country into some other one and mainly complain about paper work ,Visa regulations and what not. Europe is no better, we feel the same way as you are feeling in India, we think that ,in India,we can get almost everything done on our mobile, but in Europe, we find that , it is so cumbersome and time consuming... This happens to everyone . Unless you are an illegal immigrant in Europe, you will not be welcomed easily ..😁
Wow , i can see you have invested a lot of time in scripting, making, recording, editing the video and we really appreciate your effort to explain India to foreigners. We love you and very proud of you for choosing India
Great video. I really enjoyed it and it brought back a lot of lovely memories for me. I am Australian but lived and worked in India for a few years. Even now I am back in Australia, nothing makes me happier than having a masala chai with a samosa (or pakora) in the afternoon! ha ha
Wow, awesome job on this video Ivana! India has been on the global news a lot because its economic growth has surpassed its huge neighbor up north. Every book that I read on the topic of happiness mentioned the importance of relationships. I am American and feel like the Indian culture is miles a head of the developed world.
I think India needs a person to stay for 20 years and also expects someone to be fluent in any Indian languages to be given citizenship status, plus a person of Indian citizenship can't have dual citizenship

I was visiting Bengaluru in 2019 and I found your vlogs which were very helpful, thank you. However, I visit India often and did not know how to behave with people and the importance of relationships. I behaved like I was in the UK and now that you have enlightened me with this very useful information. It totally makes sense for me to positively change my behaviour. I am watching this again incase I missed anything.

Also I am more interested in knowing Netherlands and its neighboring countries, rather than Bangalore. But later I found your vlog in India is quite interesting. Hope you get more success and happiness in India.
You are absolutely amazing Ivana, congratulations on completing 5yrs in Bengaluru.I m happy that you pronounce the name of our city perfectly. The story is not same sister in all Indian cities. The safest place in India shall be Chennai, next- anywhere in Kerala and then Karnataka. Bengaluru is a pretty safe place but isn't all white because of a lot of flow from north India for employment aspirations. Doesn't mean locals are 100% sensible. As you go north, the cities become more unsafe. Always be cautious anyways. You've spent 5 years and I don't think we'll ever know better than you do as you're constantly moving. My intention was, just don't measure India based on one city's experience.

Congrats on your five-year anniversary! ... One thing I would add to the discussion about working in India (or any country that is not your native country) is the importance of checking to see if your native country and India have a bilateral tax agreement, or one could end up having to pay taxes in both countries on the same earnings. A Google search should get the knowledge acquisition started.

Ivana, I have been watching your videos for last 3-4 years minimum. They are great. Gives good understanding of how India is seen through the eyes of an European lady , then what's actually portrayed in western media. Keep the good work going on. And, congrats on your 5 years in India.
As a person who shifted to Bangalore from Delhi myself, the points you made were so on point & refreshing with a flexible perspective. And IF at all you wish to meet new people n catch up for a new place in Bangalore ,around indiranagar or Whitefield.(In a non creepy, socialising way) count me in :)
Been watching for almost 5 years now. Saw your trip to Thailand, the sticky rice, your excursions in Rishikesh ... Lovely stuff. Loved your travel vlogs. Your India vlogs are great, too. I always wanted to live in India, though mainly Northern India - I want to see what life's like in the snowy hill towns and villages nearer to the Himalayas. Great stuff! Hope you continue to have success and fun. Hope your father's doing well too - I remember the vlogs you did with him in India, too!
Hi Ivana, I came across your channel by chance, while I was watching content about India. I absolutely love your channel, your insights, and your tips. Thanks for this!
I just came across your video as I watch many videos on RUclips.. and you had a video about Bengaluru, my city, so started watching.. I am very happy that you are staying in India since 5 years.. I have immense love and respect for the way you make videos about our country.. our country has much more to offer.. be it food, clothes, culture, language, science, art, music, spirituality, many many things.. i remember you said in your video that you stopped talking tea. because you get anxiety in the next morning. now in this 1 video you taken tea 2-3 times. how did you get rid anxiety next morning?
I found your videos before you had moved to India. It was the videos of you travelling in New Delhi (I think). I found them incredibly funny loved your sense of humour and instantly subscribed to you then! 🤗
I think I was introduced to your channel through your gujarat trip and the rann Utsav. Love this video of yours. You have a very easy going way of communication. Wishing you many many more years of exploring India.
It is a very beautifully compiled video, I really liked it, Bengaluru is just one of the best cities in India, but to really experience the greatness of this country there are so many cities to enjoy, all of which are unique by itself. Thanks for promoting our country with very positive views, and congratulation for having completed staying for 5 years in Bangaluru on your official assignment.
Very often when we live in another country it’s no the big drama events so much as smalll detail. A local neighbourhood we get comfortable on. A surpudubg garden. A good seat to watch from. I love it that you really have an eye for things. You watch carefully. Expensive one day basic another.
I first time saw your jab we met and yeh jawaani hai deewani reaction 2 years ago on RUclips recommendations and that's how I connected with your channel ❤
Good info. Love your vlogs on india discovered your content here on YT in 2018. When I was trying to find out about Rishikesh. Cannot wait to come back to beautiful india. Definitely would like to live here. Absolutely love India the culture, diversity, the food and the people. 🕉🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏻🙏🏿🕉

Though i have only seen and known you virtually but you feel like family. Congratulations for completing 5 years and i wish you to complete 50 more comfortable and enjoyable years in this country we call home. Love you girl..keep going..❤️❤️
What made you choose Bengaluru as home over bigger city's like Mumbai & Delhi? I'm a curious local & our city is considered to have the worst road infrastructure in India but is still liveable.
Simple, Plenty of English language speaking and understood by locals all around...It's all about educated people and culture around that place....If you have polite, civilized and respectful people around....you'll feel good and well!!...kinda general rule worldwide!
As you are living in Bengaluru, pay a visit to Mangalore, the coast of Karnataka and udupi, when you are at Mangalore please visit ideal cafe or pabbas to try the best ice cream you will ever eat (buy chocolate Fantasy or tiramisu)
I have a question, of course, only if you happen to have the information and can talk about it in your videos☺️: is the situation similar (personal connections matter) in the other industries as well , e.g. academia, NGO etc. as in business (which would of course be completely natural and understandable, considering everything- you have covered that part really well in your video, great for foreigners that might find that more difficult to understand, simply because sometimes situation is reversed and certain industries cannot find workers)? And (only if you happen to know and are in a situation to share, of course ☺️)can linkedin in your experience help in any way? And to answer your question, I found your channel during the lockdown(2021), I was supposed to be in India for the second time, instead, due to lockdown, I was watching my old photos (from the first trip) and youtube. And then I found out that you not only travel, but also live in India. And back than it didn't even occur to me that I could somehow move there ( so, your channel was a discovery for me in that sense). Good luck on your 5 years in India! Looking forward to future videos about your experience in India!
Yes relationships are everything everywhere, is some industries more than others but it's always a crucial component of work&career. While cold emailing/calling worked decently for me in NL, it barely works in India. Thank you so much for your support and hope you get to realize your dream too!
Bangalore is only part of India. One city. One cannot judge living in India with one city only. Life in Mumbai is very much different and harsher than Bangalore. So cannot judge India by only Bangalore.
Congratulations for 5 years in India, Ivana ♥️♥️ Btw i can totally understand the concern regarding how to dress up in India 😅 We Indian girls have diversity in our wardrobe for the same reason. Because we cannot dress up the same way everywhere. *Be like Romans in the Rome* 💁 So Yeah. About dating..ugh 🤣 We don't have any fixed dating culture in India tbh. We just go with the flow. If you find someone you love...then good. If not, then ask your parents (arranged marriage ofc 🤣🤣). Relationships are definitely very very important in India...be it personal life or professional life. FOOD is the BEST PART of living in India FOR SURE 🤤🤤 You can NEVER get out of options 💅💯 Btw, Ivana..you should travel to other parts of India now.. where you haven't been till now. P.S: Your point regarding Safety is 💯💯 Just be vigilant. Don't take risk. Be respectful. Keep your inner consciousness active. It's a country of 1.4 billion population. No one should generalise such a huge population 🙌
India as whole is not conservative it's wrong perception depends where which city u live sply Mumbai Goa North East etc etc not at all conservative no one care what u ware how u look

Aw that's so sweet!!!!
Thank you for showcasing all the parts of our country.
I am inspired by you, you have done a lot of hard work, living in india is difficult but it is beautiful and spiritual and full of wisdom country.
Lot's of thanks first of all..... Because you explore the India very beautifully.......👍🌸
Bangalore is a perfect place for anyone to live .
It's truly a lovely city!
@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial I hope you visit mangalore too to see beautiful beaches ,temple and churches .
The very first video of yours that I saw was your Diwali celebration vlog. And I must say you adapted well in here. Thanks Ivana♥️

Awew thank you so much!

Hi Ivana..you are no more a foreigner for us...5 yrs of life here has made you NAMMA OORU HUDUGI....enjoy your life here🙏🙏❤
I didn’t understand how it is related to Karl Rock scam video?
I found your videos before you had moved to India. It was the videos of you travelling in New Delhi (I think). I found them incredibly funny loved your sense of humour and instantly subscribed to you then! 🤗
I think I was introduced to your channel through your gujarat trip and the rann Utsav. Love this video of yours. You have a very easy going way of communication. Wishing you many many more years of exploring India.
So nice of you, thank you!
This is so so true! Even the smallest things make my heart jump with joy.
Awww thank you!
I found you 4 years ago when I was planning to visit Cochin and I believe at that time you were living in Cochin. Since then, I am a fan.
Hi Ivana, So the 1st time I came across your Video was when you were staying at Kabir's place and exploring Mumbai. I started following you from Jet airways Business class Video, as I used to work for Jet airways back then. Its been about 7yrs and its always great to come across your videos.
Woah that's amazing!!! Thank you so much for joining the journey all these years

I think from blogs and also from your Ted talk or some kind of speech
hi ivana , please do a subscribers meetup .Last time the meetup in the charlie animal shelter was nice :)
Hi, IVANA! Thanks so much for the video! Could yo name the dish on 23:27? These bowls look so yummy))
That's so much information in one video. This could be two videos of around 12 minutes each.
I even cut out a whole degment about travel🫠 Who knows, maybe there'll be a part 2
@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial Our attention span has reduced. 10 minutes videos are the maximum I watch. 20 minutes only if interesting documentary. Do what suits your channel 🤗
I had to give a break and watch. Too much to take in at a time though i am living in Bangalore. Don't want to miss even a single word and expression from Ivana
@@rajib8231 I watched it in one go but felt tired. I think we have evolved as impatient humans because of short videos.
@@sudhakar7889 yes i suppose 🤓
Love from Kerala 🥰 Ivana mamm 😉🥳
All the love back!
i've never seen a canned masala tchai 😂 last time i've been in India I think that it was on 2012...
Hahha a lot has changed!
Groetjes.. Van uit Suriname.. India is een mini wereld op aarde
Groetjes terug!
Indian food 5th best in the world, as per latest rating. Though in my opinion best in the world
In my opinion also best haha
Though i have only seen and known you virtually but you feel like family. Congratulations for completing 5 years and i wish you to complete 50 more comfortable and enjoyable years in this country we call home. Love you girl..keep going..❤️❤️
Wow, thank you, that's so sweet!
Relationships to get a job/business are needed here in France as well. One cannot do without them here too if they really wanna advance.

The weather in Banglore is awesome. A whole city at an elevation of 900 m above sea level really helps you in the Indian heat.
Hi ivana.where is dear bambi? I found your vlogs on youtube while watching travel vlogs...since then we are 'youtube-friends' !
Yay that's awesome! Bambi is living her best life hahah I sometimes show her on Instagram but should make an update video soon as well
At the moment when she was eating Pani puri I was like" wait a sec, pls stop , why I'm not having pani puri right now 🥺"... that made me hungry 😔😔
As you are living in Bengaluru, pay a visit to Mangalore, the coast of Karnataka and udupi, when you are at Mangalore please visit ideal cafe or pabbas to try the best ice cream you will ever eat (buy chocolate Fantasy or tiramisu)
Already been, check the 2022 India playlist and enjoy!
Thank you for enjoying the food of India ❤
Can you wear anything you want in Bangalore?
Please do visit Forts of Maharashtra. They have great history. There are 350+ forts each having its own history.
Informative vlog thank you Ivana n wishing you the very best for 2023
Thank you! You too!
I’m looking forward to settling in blore Your vlogs are the positivity I need Much gratitude n thanks
Looking to see you cover the Durga puja festivities in Kolkata, a U. N heritage status festival.
Bangalore is only part of India. One city. One cannot judge living in India with one city only. Life in Mumbai is very much different and harsher than Bangalore. So cannot judge India by only Bangalore.
Its ok, everyone is expected to be biased towards their City 😃
Congratulations for 5 years in India, Ivana ♥️♥️
Btw i can totally understand the concern regarding how to dress up in India 😅
We Indian girls have diversity in our wardrobe for the same reason.
Because we cannot dress up the same way everywhere.
*Be like Romans in the Rome* 💁
So Yeah.
About dating..ugh 🤣
We don't have any fixed dating culture in India tbh.
We just go with the flow. If you find someone you love...then good.
If not, then ask your parents (arranged marriage ofc 🤣🤣).
Relationships are definitely very very important in India...be it personal life or professional life.
FOOD is the BEST PART of living in India FOR SURE 🤤🤤
You can NEVER get out of options 💅💯
Btw, Ivana..you should travel to other parts of India now.. where you haven't been till now.
P.S: Your point regarding Safety is 💯💯
Just be vigilant. Don't take risk. Be respectful. Keep your inner consciousness active.
It's a country of 1.4 billion population. No one should generalise such a huge population 🙌
I think I found you on a food video a few years ago! 🤔
Traffic is worst in Bangalore… love from delhi
India as whole is not conservative it's wrong perception depends where which city u live sply Mumbai Goa North East etc etc not at all conservative no one care what u ware how u look
Wow can't believe i have been following the channel since 3 years and it was absolutely an epic journey. Keep it going ♥️
Thank you! Will do!
Hope India never bore you & keeps exciting you forever 😊❤🙏
I have a gut feeling that you found soulmate in india
In Mother India herself yes!
