This is so good to do affordable living homes. I thank god everyday he helped me find our home through affordable housing . My husband of 25 years just paced away he was the one that worked and everything and I was being put out from our landlord at the same time he did not care gave us a month to move because he sold the house we were renting. I needed affordable living because my only income is the little death benefits I get for my 2 boys that 15 and 17. So this would be a god send for anyone that really needs help in low income .
You two are just amazing people. Your fantastic parents and was so impressed with this latest project that you’re discussing. I am very similar in that I own 408 apartments and little houses in Northern California… I don’t charge market rate because I want to be able to help as many people as possible to have their own home… And the cost of living is very expensive down here. I’ve been very very fortunate in my life and it’s one way to get back. I see so much of what you’re doing and what I have already done am I am just so very very very impressed with you both. By the way I have to say, your lawn looks fantastic… Ever since we started watching the summer family… I am totally tied to your lawn and I love how it’s come back greener and stronger this year than ever. We are so excited for your upcoming project. The need for affordable housing is so critical not only in Alasks, but Florida as well. We have a wonderful neighbor who had to sell her house and in three weeks she has no place to go. She has no family left and even mobile home rents in our area are about $1200.00 a month. That's more than her house payment was. Bless you for wanting to tackle a need that very few want to address. God Bless you all.
The Fair here in Southern Cal, is when temps are between 90-100 degrees, not too many go during the day, but at night, when things are cooler, the Fair is crowded
So... HAPPY we all got to come along to the fair... So much fun & Grandma was so Excited with her popcorn 🍿... Glad Audrey didn't go on the swings or the tilt-a-whirl... I had motion sickness terribly as a child & even into adulthood & anything going around in a circle would set me off & as long as I was in the front seat the car sickness was very minimal... Eventually it subsided pretty much. CONGRATULATIONS on your land you are purchasing ... Great investment 👌 👍 Hugs & Blessings to you ALL... 🙏❤️💙💖💖💙🐕🤗✝️

The Yard looks fantastic SomersInAlaska! The Tanana Fair was a big thing back in the day. I always looked forward to the Fairs and outdoor markets that took place during the summer. I don't have a favorite ride but loved Barbecuing. Hey Bert, those 'rides' looks like the ones that were there when I was stationed there back in the late 80s. Still looks fantastic to go to.
Going to the Highland games today at one our villages. See the highland dancing and sport games and the pipe bands marching. Lovely day for the kids to run around take part in some stall games too. Love that you are so welcoming to your followers! Big hug ox

As a man who deals with high end electronics and technical equipment, those carnival rides must give Bert nightmares! Personally, I won’t go near them. I’m a lover of funnel cakes, so that’s my go-to at our church fair.
Can't wait to see how the property turns out! My favorite at the fair are the vendors. You know, "It slices, it dices, it chops, it grates, it grinds, it PUTS the KIDS to bed at night." I also like the wood working and craft areas.
We have the Bloomsburg fair her in Pa ,we have animals and typical fair in which the whole community shuts down to run the fair. It has been around for over a hundred years . Thank you for bringing your happiness ans comfort.
I work at NSW, Australia's biggest country "fair" with 100,000 people visiting daily. It is such a great environment with over 40,000 animals for 12 days!!!

You should visit Minnesota at the very end of August for the Minnesota State Fair which is rated #1 in the USA for daily attendance. Plus there is also the Mall of America which is the largest mall in America. It's big enough for an amusement park inside of the mall.
Haven't been to the Ohio State fair in years. Back then went to see the displays and do the rides. The Circleville pumpkin show is also a tradition. Got to get pumpkin donuts, fudge and brittle. Ice cream...all things pumpkin.
I don’t have instant gram just you tube. Every time I want to get the sweatshirt with the scenery picture on it I never have the money and when I do have money it’s sold out. Hubby & I are retired, well he is retired I am still taken care of the house, cooking, cleaning, laundry and he tells everyone WE are retired LOL sure thing honey you keep saying that. My family has 20 years affair buttons starting with just me and Fred. Then the next year had my first born. The next button has my second born because they’re only 18 months apart. And then the third one has Hayden our last born. From there they just grow and grow and grow. Each button I have on a sash so you can see all 20 years of buttons it’s pretty neat..
I am so proud of you both in your wanting to help those that are less fortunate. There are so many people out there that just need a helping hand and all the ways you help people mean so much to them. I have seen some other vlogs where they have over a million subscribers and all they consider to do with all that money is to buy lots of expensive clothes and go on expensive trips. I will not subscribe to those families as they could be helping so many people. Your family is a lesson in how we all should be in helping those less fortunate.
Fairs are the best!! We have a huge 2-1/2 week fair every year (the big E) and my sons birthday always falls during this time and we go every year! First stop kenyons! Clam fritter and clam chowder to dip them in, Billy’s baked potatoes? Bears bbq… son and friends always get turkey legs… I literally just bought tickets for my son to ride on a float and throw out beads for his birthday. He’s always wanted to do it and they always sell out! So much fun watching you guys!!
We did this year's and years ago in Australia, we saved so much money by buying top end second hand items . We built 6 but I never did 2 the same as I felt every one deserves their own and not cookie cutter houses lol ...but each to there own...good luck

And yet, when we were kids, the rides at the fair were better than brand new! I say that because I walk through the midway with my grandkids in horror at everything you worried about! I won't go to our state fair anymore.. to many people.. and it's always WAY too hot... but our county fair... with the "infamous" tacos (always done by the ladies of the local Catholic Church) are a must do! Looks like you had a wonderful time.

The Lord goes before us and makes the path clear, and is already lining all things up orderly so that all things work together for His glory!! When you shared with us that you would help them with some electrical work in somewhat of a trade to reduce the cost of the land, I just about lost it with tears of joy!! I live in Connecticut now. I'll be retiring in March of 2023. Then I'm off to fulfill my several decade dream of moving to Fairbanks. Can't wait!

And yet, when we were kids, the rides at the fair were better than brand new! I say that because I walk through the midway with my grandkids in horror at everything you worried about! I won't go to our state fair anymore.. to many people.. and it's always WAY too hot... but our county fair... with the "infamous" tacos (always done by the ladies of the local Catholic Church) are a must do! Looks like you had a wonderful time.

Oh my goodness, I'm so excited that you guys found the land to begin building upon that dream you've had in your heart for so long Bert!! The Lord goes before us and makes the path clear, and is already lining all things up orderly so that all things work together for His glory!! When you shared with us that you would help them with some electrical work in somewhat of a trade to reduce the cost of the land, I just about lost it with tears of joy!! It is going to be so amazing watching this project to completion and beyond, to see those till be able to bless with affordable housing, and God receiving all the glory over all this entire process.
