I really like this trend of swappable parts to have the G1 toy heads/features/redecos that FT has going, it's definitely something I want to do about half the time (I love their G1 toy deco Sovereign more than I can express in words). If their Trailbreaker had a G1 toy head I'd grab him in a heartbeat. Maybe they'll do a reissue with that as an option sometime down the line.
The crippling realization that Hoist's robot mode design translated into clothing would be the *dorkiest shit ever.* Dark green t-shirt, blaze orange short-shorts, kneepads, and like... work boots. Oh God, he'd look like an idiot.
My belief (based on the original color images, I could be wrong) is that the head with the part attached directly to it, as opposed to the separate piece the other heads require that is annoying, is the one FT intended all along which is why the separate piece version is so poorly done. But the fan reaction to it was rather strongly negative so they made an option with it separate for those people.
Question, how does the optional head with the detachable scanner work while transforming? Also, you NEED to show all the alien head autobots from Hoist goes to Hollywood in a skit. That would be awesome!!!

I agree with you. Hitch is too plain for my tastes. Paean has a better balance of cartoon and real life details.
