A-List actors....😱 so amazing to not insert the ego! God forbid I notice they were all white exce0t Morgan😮
He should've spent more time helping his sons acting career, have you seen his movies? One of the biggest disappointments I've ever experienced.
One of my favorite actors is Morgan Freeman ….. and Clint Eastwood
Double Pinned
Of All Time the Best Actor , Writer , Director , Producer
PERSON EVER ! .
I work in the film industry, and everybody wants to work on Clint Eastwood movies, he only ever does 8 hour days. Once they hit the 8 hour mark he just calls it everytime.
When you're caught by Hollywood golden handcuffs that's got to be a miracle
Thank you for this feedback.
@@deandeckyou must not have seen many Clint Eastwood movies.
@@bignick2k215 I think Dean is confused with Enid Blyton.
@@deandeckever heard of space cowboys?
Hearing these stories about Clint Eastwood’s directing style and demeanor on set tells me one key thing about him: he learned what _not_ to do in order to get results.
Also, to not startle the horses.
There's an interview where he basically says that.
@@jonathanbrown7250 Yup. Saw that one
in an interveiw, i think it was in thr Graham Norton show, he talked about how people who directed him would love to shout and use the megaphones, and since he didn't like that and because at the time he was doing westerns and all the shouting would startle the horses he made a point to not do that when directing to create a good work enviroment
@@meyelejuega3602 Yup, saw that one.
The way Morgan Freeman says "My favorite of all is Clint Eastwood"... I felt that! Both are true living legends!
Facts!
They are so good together in unforgiven.
He should have armed himself for decorating his saloon with my friend.
Very well said! Both of them are genuine geniuses! Clint Eastwood has the perception and the sensitivity to capture the best of each of his actors and his humble approach to their personal contribution to the essence of each carácter is priceless! He is a huge asset to cinematography unless he decides to involve politics in it, at that point everything goes out the door.
Hell yeah
I love that his version of cut is “that’s enough of that”

Tom hanks interview we just saw a clip of, talked about him treating actors like horses. His calm manor is due to his time in westerns. Directors shouted so loud, it spooked the horses.

@@johnb2905 Are you off your meds or something?
No, the director spooked the actors on the horses, who would flinch and then THAT spooked the horses.
You mean "calm demeanor", right?
He's not afraid of letting there be pauses in the dialogs or scene. He allows for silence and natural human pacing.
that's so imporant, something that marvel movies don't unnderstand. European and Japenese films do it a lot and it is refreshing

There's a reason his movies are so amazing. Both the ones he acted in and the ones he himself created.
And both
The mule is one of the most underrated movies I’ve ever seen tbh
What’s cool is that like 95% of the movies he’s done since at least the 80s have all been directed by him
Eastwood is an American icon. When he passes, this whole damn country owes him 5 minutes of reflective silence and a thank you. Great man.
But instead you will get a month of whatever "cause" has to be celebrated because it´s popular at the moment.
That’s enough of that 😄
Hopefully we'll get a chance to see every movie he's ever been in or directed until our grief is assuaged and we can proclaim "Go bravely forward Mr. Eastwood. The world will NEVER forget you!".
What I think is the saddest thing is that we wait til he dies to honor him!! Why can’t we honor him BEFORE he dies so He can see it! Or do we believe they CAN see it after death?
You make a good point.
I saw a video on RUclips of a young guy who offered some flowers to an older guy, a stranger.
The older guy asked why he should take the flowers. The young guy said most guys only ever get their first flowers at their funeral. The truth of this sentence hit the older guy hard. It changed his expression. He took the flowers.
We need to learn to tell people that we appreciate them, whilst they are here.
(Edited to correct spelling. )
One of the best actors/directors ever!
Not just one but "the"
How iconic Clint Eastwood is, god I hope we have him for a long , long time he’s brilliant in every way.
@@cynthiahusband106he’s 93, I’m sure he will live another 50 years
@@cynthiahusband106 He watched too much Fox News. He lost his moral compass in later years. One of the most memorable actors.
@@kingda117 Particularly no one has a decent moral compass, they're bogged down in emotional bias, bigotry and speak inconsistently, different rules for themselves that they have for others.
The coolest story is the one Saul Rubink, who plays WW Beauchamp in Unforgiven tells. He had wanted to do things in scenes and saw the character differently and would ask Clint if he could do this or try this and Clint told him the entire department of WW Beauchamp was his(Saul’s) and that he could do whatever he wanted for the character and that if he(Clint) didn’t understand something, he may ask him to clarify it, but that would be the extent of his directing him.
"that's enough of that... Punk"
Brilliant 😅
He is unique on so many levels, and ALL actors want to work with him, so he has all the respect, admiration, and genuine affection.
Even the actors who said they would move to Canada if the Democrat wasn't elected, or who boycott or try to cancel anyone who disagrees with them, want to be in a Clinton Eastwood movie. They know their chances for an Oscar are never higher than if they are in CE movie.
@@fishgutz4272 even those. Because every day people go to jobs for employers the think are a******s, whose ethics they think are shady, with colleagues whose politics and rhetoric they abhor, because at the end of the day people need to make a living

Clint is truly an Hollywood legend.
And he’ll always be remembered as one of the greatest.
I love that, “not insert the ego at all”. In an industry dominated by ego, that’s a pretty great way to direct! Lol
When he gives the actors/actresses the freedom to do their thing, he's actually showing them respect and believes in them
Mr Hanks does a great Mr Eastwood impression
Clint is a megastar but most importantly a great artist all around.
Every story you hear about Clint Eastwood is that he’s a super nice and genuine guy and I really love that
That is mad respect when the actors speak so highly of their director.
A lesson for bosses everywhere.
Agreed!
He s a leader not a boss. He knows his values and he no needs to be rude or control freak. 😊

King of Kings
One of my favorite of Clint Eastwood's qualities is that although he's known for his iconic, grizzly voice, he's actually very soft-spoken.
To be honest, Clint Eastwood
has always worked with some of the best actors in Hollywood. No wonder he doesn't do a lot of takes.
If that were so, there wouldn't be stories about directors asking for dozens of takes even from the best actors. Clint Eastwood is one of a kind.
What a cynical response. Geez
Why do some great actors then suck in certain movies and in some they are brilliant. Never understood why this isn't more outspoken when its clearly the directors influence!!
@@babelbabel2419 Not many directors make dozens of takes. The only ones that come to mind are Kubrick and Fincher, and one of them is dead.
@@miguelvidalmartinez9456 Many is relative. Kubrick is a one end (90+ takes was insane) and Clint Eastwood at the other end (1-2 takes).
Everyone in management should listen to this
Clint is the Goat
That is a confident manager. Providing a good work environment and encouraging input from the team.
words of wisdom. no ego.
It's crazy how Clint is both one of the best actors and one of the best directors of all time. Dude is awesome
He learned from decades of acting. Including in Rawhide.
Clint Eastwood! Oh myyyy….these interviews speak volumes of his character! Amazing actor & guide to all his fellow actors! What a gift! Legend❤️
That is a lot of well thought out praise from a lot of very talented people. What a legend.
Who knew. So nice to hear actors respect his work.
He survived a airplane crash while in the army boss
Clint Eastwood is the best
Clint’s movies are great!
as much as i love David Fincher films and shows, the endless tales of him making actors do 70-100 takes for 1 scene makes you wonder if he just doesn’t cast well sometimes. Or is super OCD. Clint is a legend and all actors seem to love working with him. So cool.
Well as Fincher describes it he actually wants ti bring actors to an place of ease. Because its a lot. People go action and now you feel like a race horse to suddenly go. And that fact of being uneasy CAN help but more than often doesnt. Fincher takes the takes as sor of rehearsal for the actors to try thibgs and be comfortabke. He said "When at the begining of a scene character comes home and undresses and hangs his hat and scarf on a hanger and goes to the kitchen...I dont want the actors "act" hiw they are hanging a scarf and a hat I want them to just do it automatically and not much focus on it because the core of the scene is elswhere". So I would almost prefer sometumes as an actor to have this playground and a place to really go at it and try new thibgs rather than to have just one take
Well that was Kubrick's style as well and he's arguably the greatest director ever. Just different ways of running things
@@cshaffrey3438 "greatest director"? Opinions are opinions but that one seems to be a stretch if compared to guys like Eastwood, Spielberg, Coppola, and late comers like Oliver Stone, Ron Howard, and Rob Reiner. In fact the only three Kubrick films I enjoyed were "Dr Strangelove", "The Shining" and "Full Metal Jacket". Compare those three with the dozens of movies Clint Eastwood has directed and the overall popularity of those movies. I mean seriously, if it was a contest for best director between Eastwood and Kubrick, Eastwood wins by a significant landslide. And everybody in the room knows it.
@@viking956 I mean I said "arguably" - I personally don't think he's the greatest director ever, but he's definitely above Eastwood imo. In terms of a director who excels in multiple genres, Kubrick made imo the best sci fi film ever (2001), my second favourite horror film ever (Shining), and then one of my favourite war films and comedy films in FMJ and Dr Strangelove. Add to that Barry Lyndon?
Some of the films Eastwood has acted in are up there with the best, but I don't think any film he's directed is better than any of those 5 Kubricks for sure
Filmography shows a lot more gems in Eastwoods Filmography than finchers. Feels like one is digging for gold and the other is just brushing away the dirt to reveal it
“Alright go ahead” lmao
Best actor of all time and a marvelous director. His movies make me cry.
GOD BLESS YOU MR. EASTWOOD.
I feel that most people don’t put Clint as one of the best directors of all time. We always hear about Spielberg, Coppola, Kubrick for instance but I think Clint is right there with them and yet in conversations I often have with others about film I never hear anyone mention his name. It’s weird to me.
It's EGO...Clint was an actor turned director therefore not a TRUE director. That's my theory
He's not a visionary, being a practical and original director is not enough.

Eastwood is clearly onto something with his direction of actors because are consistently fantastic and they consistently feature phenomenal performances
The coolest as an actor and the coolest as a director. My all-time favourite! Thanks for all the great memoties Clint!❤❤❤❤❤
Makes these directors who want dozens of takes seem a little silly, but then, they must have their reasons.
Those directors believe their story can and should be crafted in the editing room and not on set. That's what Clint told me a few years back when I asked him how come some directors do so many takes of the same scene.
BTW, Clint has been my father-in-law for the last 10 years.
the greatest actor director of all time
He's one of my favorites, too... Long may he live!
Back in the 80’s he was filming in Northern NV as he did several times. My mother served him at a casino cafe, she loved his work so much, but kept it to herself simply treating him and the other actors as normal guests. He gave he a $100 tip personally and she just broke down with tears.
He does an amazing job for sure!
Greeeaaat. Educational.
Letting them actually do their craft is essential, A mark of A good director 4 sure
Clint Eastwood is just class. He’s so secure in himself, he’s a pleasure to be around him. I met him in Carmel California, he was very nice, he has a way of putting you at ease. I enjoyed him very much.

Great actor, great human being. He's #1. Love all his movies. He's always everyone's hero😊😊😊😊
An actor who understands what & how to direct another actor... No wonder he's respected by everyone
Getting so many plaudits from great actors means you are one of the best at your craft and a great human being
I love Clint Eastwood. Grew up watching his movies. He is such a handsome man. ❤
It's because he started as an actor. He understands what actors want, and how to work with them, because he's also been an actor his whole career as a director. He can communicate with actors in ways they understand easily, and wants them to do what they do, instead of just play with puppets.
Touching honor from these bests in the business. A living tribute is moving and a priceless sentiment.
You know Clint Eastwood is gonna be really missed when he dies. You know there are a lot of people in this world that really love that man for every thing he’s contributed to movies directing everything cinema. You just can’t beat him. This man is awesome.
one of my favorite human beings. when i saw him in "The Mule" it really took be back at how old he is.
Such a great guy. Hate that he has to get old.
Letting people bring things to the table is key. Vince Gilligan is another great director who checks his ego before he leaves his bed in the morning 😂
Had a HUGE crush on him back in his Rowdy, Rawhide days. Then his epoch spaghetti westerns, so gorgeous and cool in his dusty poncho and spurs jingling as he strolled slowly, chewing on smoke, eyes squinting from the sun. Who'd ever thought he would become what he is/does today. Amazing. So much good stuff all packed into one person!
My favourite actor is clint Eastwood. I watch everything he's done. Stared in and directed. Everything ❤❤❤
