Agreed. The brilliant actor Jared Harris, son of legendary Richard Harris of Unforgiven fame, is also very humble and down to earth and not above telling great stories about his late father, many of which are quite hilarious.
I agree but to a point.. cause the poor guy must feel like what's the point of finding my own way he's ALWAYS overshadowed by his dad and how great he was. That has got to get annoying at times, but there are obviously benefits to living in his shadow as well!

Lost my dad a little over a year ago and the “sit with him and absorb has much as I can from him” hit me like a fucking brick. Did the exact same thing with my dad, especially in the last year I had with him because he was terminal. My dad was also always a big Clint Eastwood fan. Clints son is so fucking solid. God bless.
I lost my Dad nine years ago. I followed in his footsteps finally in the same profession. There is not a day that goes by, that I want to call him and ask something still!! Scott Eastwood will be a very good western star like his Dad!!
I was incredibly close to my grandad. I loved him with my whole soul. I absorbed EVERYTHING he said. God, I miss him so much. He’s been gone for 23 years and I still think about him every day.
I lost my dad six years ago and he was also a big Clint fan so I feel what you're saying completely. If only I could have one more conversation with my dad, especially when i'm struggling with something
As a young man I look up to people like Clint Eastwood and watching his movies is amazing. It’s a piece of history and having him still holds a piece of the past to the current day.
I know exactly how this man feels. My dad is 80. I spend as much time as i can with him. My father built the house we live in. He survived a war. He was a merchant marine and his ship broke down in the bermuda triangle. I have 2 pairs of jeans he washed in those waters. The second night he said all of a sudden a bunch of flying fish just started jumping on deck. It was a good thing because it kept them fed over the next week they were waiting for help. Respect your elders. Learn everything you can from them.
Didn't realize Clint Eastwood was 92, A person I looked up to since I was like 10... Watching the good the bad and the ugly with my father, the unforgiven, among dozens! of movies I watched from him, best outside influence I ever had. God bless him and his family

There is no actor in my time that has had a more positive impact on my life. Clint is literally an icon. Some of my best memories of my father are watching hours and hours of Clint Eastwood movies on Saturday afternoon.
Scott Eastwood always strikes me as a very genuine guy. Like, he never complains about growing up with a famous dad even though it couldn't have been that easy, he always does his own things but he's never a prick if someone asks about Clint, and he doesn't try to throw his weight around. Fucking kudos to Scott, i don't think i would've been that humble if i would be in his shoes.
I love Clint Eastwood. Such an effortlessly cool guy. Grew up watching his westerns. By far the best cowboy of them all. I recently saw him in a 2022 movie. Was really shocked & saddened by how frail he has become. Didnt seem that long ago he was in Gran Torino(turns out it was quite a long time ago) and he was still quite big and tough looking in that. I didnt actually realise till I saw that recent movie that he is in his 90s now. The fact he is still even making movies(& as a lead role) is superhuman in itself. He is a total legend. A World with Clint Eastwood in it is a much, much, cooler World.
On one hand I'm always interested in hearing more about Clint Eastwood, but on the other hand I gotta say I feel for Scott. He's 35 now, and nearly every single interview he does still turns into people asking about his dad. It has to feel like a curse just as much as it feels like a blessing to have that kind of father. He handles it admirably though.
Depends on Scott's mentality so just think about this... Let's say Scott has a very small ego and knows he won't be more famous or achieve as much success and he is fine with that and is happy doing his own thing but is so proud and happy to share his dad's stories and past etc. If he sees his dad as a hero then he won't care about his own ego regardless.
Yea, he's like one of those guys who is universally admired and respected like MJ, Tiger Woods only a handful. He seems proud. He seems like he's accepted it pretty well
His dad has lived a long and successful life. He's nearly 100, Scott is 35. Scott has plenty of time to make a bigger name for himself. Maybe it'll be something other than straight up acting, look at how his dad has branched out.
That's because he's son of a conservative, not some smug liberal following neo liberal ideas because they're trendy in California a state which btw has 4th lowest average IQ out of all states.
It's because his dad cared. Most celebrities act fake, and fakeit2makeit. He doesn't need to do that, he lucked out and his dad taught him the basics of critical thinking. Most NEVER learn critical thinking skills, even 50 year old men out of prison who stick with the gang bandwagon mentality.
It is bitter sweet to have a great dad who (In the utmost respect) is approaching an age that every son or daughter or anyone dreads of him passing. The beautiful thing is that there are so many GREAT films that you can cue up and see your dad everyday in remembrance. I have many many many videos of my dad in his 60's, 70's and 80's, and I will tell you it is a blessing to our whole family that those videos exist.

@@christiansoldier77 cool thanks! I just gotta say I’ve seen the quick and the dead multiple times and love it but that feels more generically western than Unforgiven. I enjoy both of them a lot and both of them had great performances by Gene Hackman! The reason unforgiven doesn’t feel generic for me is because Hackmans sherif would have been the hero in any other story it was just the fact that he was protecting the rapist rather than the prostitutes made him the villain in the story
I love your father, Scott. I was an African kid growing up in the 70s and your father’s movies were my very first exposure to stardom and creativity. He represented to me a larger than life character who embodies everything role models should. He was the first actor that I actually learned his real name and wanted to be like him so bad. He is my all time greatest actor.
My dad told me the story of how he met Clint, my dad was walking down a street in London, a limo pulled up and Clint stepped out, my father was shocked how tall Clint was, I think he talked to him, my dad just turned 70, it's insane that Clint I still alive and well, one of the last western legands.
So refreshing to see a young man, that grew up with everything and anything needed, turn out so humble, caring, and intelligent. Clint is obviously as good of a Father as he is a person.
I love how the Unforgiven takes that cliche Western violence where guys get shot grab their heart and fall down dead. Two guys having a shootout at high noon. All dramatic. Nope. In this movie it’s about real violence. Beating the shit out of people in the middle of the street and blowing someone’s head off with a shotgun at point blank range while they’re lying on the floor. It’s so real. Awful violence done by mean sons of bitches. That’s what really happened.

We should always sit and talk to the older generations! They have fascinating stories. I was smart enough to ask my grandmother a lot of questions about her life. She rode in covered wagons. Rode her horse to school but graduated in the 8th grade. All her stories about her life were fascinating!
@@desertrose57 You do know that you can read books about the past to get an insight of what it was and what people went though in the 1950’s? Right You can do anything your mind wants and yes nursing homes do have tons of stories, but my point is most of what old people learn they write on books for us to perceive and learn from.
My grandad on one side is a massive history buff and knows the entire family history like the back of his hand with a library archiving pictures, documents records etc of the family and the various interesting stories that necessarily occur among a large group of people. Like my great grandfather delivered a letter to Padraig Pearse one of the great Irish rebels that helped free Ireland for instance. On the other side of the family, my grandparents went and did things that needed doing they never tarried about or preserved their heads in the past they kept moving forward. From poverty to wealth and prosperity. Moving to America, owning bars meeting people and bouncing around. The stories and glimpses you'd hear of their life were amazing. But you almost had to pry it out of them. The people who do the reading and listening don't do the living and moving on. Neither is better than the other but personally what I've learned is to live life to its fullest and not to let its punches knock you down completely.

You know I met him as a fresh, just out of school RN, when he was in the hospital for a hernia operation.

God bless.

Scott Eastwood always strikes me as a very genuine guy. Like, he never complains about growing up with a famous dad even though it couldn't have been that easy, he always does his own things but he's never a prick if someone asks about Clint, and he doesn't try to throw his weight around. Fucking kudos to Scott, i don't think i would've been that humble if i would be in his shoes.
well he stared from the bottom of the movie industry
Totally agree. 😊
Clint, immediately after crashing into the water: "I feel lucky, punks."
Naw he's saying this to the water
"Tons of sharks!" In SF Bay
He crashed on Alcatraz then he had to escape…

I grew up in the late 60s watching Clint Eastwood movies with my dad. I still love his acting and his directing abilities. He'll forever be a legend.
When he laughs, I see his father more and more. A beautiful family, inside and out.
Eastwood, Bronson, Marvin, Stewart, Wayne, Mitchum, I miss all them old school actors. Clint has outlasted them all.
I mean in this one he’s the one that brought up his dad
Yea, he's like one of those guys who is universally admired and respected like MJ, Tiger Woods only a handful. He seems proud. He seems like he's accepted it pretty well
His dad has lived a long and successful life. He's nearly 100, Scott is 35. Scott has plenty of time to make a bigger name for himself. Maybe it'll be something other than straight up acting, look at how his dad has branched out.

Clint Eastwood seems the type to smack his kid if he got out of line.
Benefits of having a good father, your kids are pretty cool in life
It is bitter sweet to have a great dad who (In the utmost respect) is approaching an age that every son or daughter or anyone dreads of him passing. Arguably? No. It is.
I love how the Unforgiven takes that cliche Western violence where guys get shot grab their heart and fall down dead. Two guys having a shootout at high noon. All dramatic. Nope. @@desertrose57 You do know that you can read books about the past to get an insight of what it was and what people went though in the 1950’s? Right
You can do anything your mind wants and yes nursing homes do have tons of stories, but my point is most of what old people learn they write on books for us to perceive and learn from.
