The video could have been EXCELLENT if you would have stated (as you went along) , this white wire is from the ignition, it plugs into the + connector, this brown wire I believe is from the coil, this other white wire is from the idle control etc; this would have added VALUE to your time and the video, but instead all we see is someone installing a new coil on a Beetle and plugging in wires.
You attached several wires to the coil but didnt tell us what they were ?? Ive just changed my dizzy to a electronic distributor and got an upgraded coil. But now it doesnt start as i think i have all the wires attached wrongly ?? Can you advise where the +ve wires go to and likewise the neg side.
So why don’t anyone talk about what cables are being connected and where they are coming from? I’ve seen a few videos that just connect and not explain? Greta video other than that.
A much better video/description of what was done to determine that the old coil was bad is what is needed and the rest is superfluous. .
Bonus the colour of the coil matches the car, glad to see it running well again.

I would definitely move the fuel filter from there and put in under the tank!
