It's an absolutely wonderful machine. I have the MBP M1 Pro Max (14") with 64GB of memory, 2TB SSD. It is easily my favorite laptop I've ever owned and it's powering my battlestation right now. I do also have the M2 MBA, which is wonderful as well for when I travel (which is often), but this MBP M1 is fantastic. I don't think I've ever been able to get the fan to spin. Also, the audio is fantastic, the keyboard is amazing, and the battery life is out of this world. I'm sure the new MBP M2 is amazing but I'm not planning to upgrade this rig again for many many years.

Agree on the fans. I have a M2 Pro Macbook Pro and the only thing I've managed to get the fans going with so far is...Football Manager

    Nice vid mate
Pretty great computer. Tons of complaints about macOS design choices following the Big Sur redesign, but the hardware itself seems really nice

QUESTION: Except for the larger size, are the screens of the 14- and 16-inch Macbook Pros really of completely superior visual quality compared to the screens of the Macbook Air M1 and M2 ?

    What resolution are you using?
When I shift to larger text version it makes the screen hazy and blurry.
The default resolution is way to small for me, it make the UI and text inside apps UI really small, you can really change it with change the resolution but once you do it makes things hazy.
What shall I do, people say this is how macOS is, please do let me know.
    Waiting for your reply 🙏

Out of interest what menubar apps are you running when you're talking about the notch?

I have a few, Stats, Rectangle, Weather, Fig, Raycast, Bitwarden, ExpressVPN. Ends up taking majority of the space 😄

@@ChuenL You need to check out Bartender then. I've used it for a while and it's great but I just got an M2 Max MBP last week and with the notch it is a must have app imho. It is a shame Apple don't have basic menubar show/hide functionality given how much stuff they added in recent years with the control centre.
