This is one of the best lighting tutorials ive seen. The results are fantastic. As good as the lighting is, lets not forget to mention the location choice. The lighting and location work together nicely
With all these you mentioned you did.t remember the place of the tech talent who put ALL the elements together for the awesome results. It's craft over gear.
I like your behind the scenes because you’re always very practical and look for ways to improvise with the little gear arsenal you’ve got. You’ve got an incredible future ahead of you Suyorukun.
BRAVO! Thank you for so much, going into great detail without using any retention editing - and the way you explained about the promotion of the video didn’t even feel like an ad (totally have me sold on them.) Simply one of the most straightforward and incredible presentations on RUclips. THANK YOU!
I really enjoyd watching this.. You had a smile on my face right trhough. Incredible what a one man team can do when passion is driving him!! Thanks again, I'm going to get me a set of those lights for sure..!!
I just think it’s absolutely brilliant . One person, no crew & look how phenomenal the work looks yes more hands could help but look how he understands every part of the process including’ directing’ . wow ! Impressive
You have efficient explanations, demonstrate innovation on a budget, clearly and successfully explain what you wanted your actress to project, and managed to turn a bad location into a feature set. Bravo! You've earned this subscriber! I just bought the Viltrox anamorphic set rather than a pair of Mercury lenses, and they're great tools. Thanks again!
I’ve been shooting/directing for about 30 years. All sorts of projects. I don’t usually like these sort of videos and stopped watching them years ago but buying a new camera and checking in and I have to say you’re a talented guy. I work with a lighting guy from time to time in the uk, talented like yourself. As a director I love having a creative team I can trust. Really nice footage on a very affordable camera/lights.
Great work man! Love how deep you make your final exposures. I think thats like an unknown "trick" that a lot of filmmakers aren't aware of. I just subbed, new to your channel. Would love to see you lend your voice to that topic!
Incredible photography and color, one of the keys is the correct exposure and one of the steps that is sometimes the most delicate. Great job, I send you greetings from Mexico.
I'm diving into video making, watching tutorials on handling the camera, choosing the right lenses, color grading, editing, transitions, sound design, and lighting. It's quite the learning curve for just one video! The more I delve into it, the more I realize there's so much to learn, and it can feel overwhelming
@@ariesmight6978 he has a point. Can colour grade all you like though gear is also very Important. You ain't gonna get the same look using a phone a light lamp. If you don't have a camera that shoots log you ain't getting something looking like this

I can see what you’re trying to do for your audience, but you completely miss the point. No one comes away understanding how you achieved the results. Your a talented filmmaker, but when doing an explainer video, pretend you want a 5 year to understand and be able to replicate what you’re teaching. Your followers will increase at a rapid rate!
This is so helpful! I just got into cinematography, and your video has been my favorite so far. THANK YOU ❤ (Have you considered making a video for budget camera setup?)
One of the best lighting videos i've ever seen. And the best thing about these lights is that while being so versatile, they're affordable enough for giving you a chance to start out as a beginner. As they say, it's not about the brush, it's about the painter. But you DO need a brush, maybe. :P
Since you've used both, I'm curious your thoughts on the FX3 vs the 6k Full Frame. Do you notice a significant improvement in image quality or color? You make both look fantastic so I'd love to know where you stand.
Great video and it's very cool to see how you create your light setup on the go with some interesting experiments. I personally struggled to read your captions while you were speaking because they were really fast. Therefore, I had to stop the video many times to have the time to read them and the overall viewing wasn't totally pleasant because of this. Can I suggest to leave the captions on a little longer and perhaps showing the final results a bit longer too. Thanks very much. I appreciate your tutorial and the look outcome is so good!
Have been following you for awhile now and haven't had the chance to leave a comment, but i'd like to say that I love your teaching style and learn so much from you in such a quick and efficient time. Looking forward to watching more videos and supporting your channel. Thank you!
I got a nanlite fs300 because of your first video with her. I was astonished by the brightness and the quality of the light. Definetly increased the production value of my shots.
I was an interior and lighting installation photographer and have taken photographs of over 220 clubs, restaurants and bespoke accommodations in and around West Tokyo, Shinsaibashi in Osaka and around Nagoya for a couple of interior designers until Corona killed everything off... Your lighting work is phenomenal and kinda makes me want to take up photography work again.
Loved this video, man. All those tests here and there. That’s what I call a creator at work, experimenting and trying new things. I did a recent review of one of these lights and I was very impressed by the results. You got a new supporter here. Cheers from Italy 🙏

Hey! First of all thank you for the video, it's really useful to watch. Could you tell or shoot more about the diopter filters you use and this strange black cover where you put them in? It would be very interesting to watch. Thanks in advance!
Great video, your actress seems like she's pretty solid too! Do you guys have any other work you've done together? Your lighting set up seemed reminiscent of Roger Deakins' cove lighting set up in how you tapered the effect of it. Really cool.
Excellent BTS/demonstrations, thank you!! How do these ZHIYUN fixtures compare to the COLBOR ones you used in past projects? Which do you prefer overall?
Insane how much the grading pushes the final look. The blinds shot with the warm light for example, was quite normal in the actual shot. Do you know the way you're going to go in post when shooting or do you kind of figure it out in post?
