how awesome it is to hear the tyres with this coverage? you never hear the sound feed from the actual pictures you see on F1….this is refreshing and brings a whole new dimension to the coverage.
I love the Macau track and the event itself but the FR races were not good at all. Way too many red flags and safety cars, and no chance for good drivers to show what they can do. I think they should revert to F3 cars and drivers with a bit more experience.
but thats the whole point right? in the past, people who come to macau a lot always have an advantage. and the track has always been this way, only the long straight have opportunity to pass but at the expense of missing the brake timing and even crashing. its always calculated risks and completing multiple laps in this track at high speed without crashing is an achievement itself.
agreed with original post. maybe make the cars narrower or something. the stoppages are just too frequent that it can be driver-only issues. it is a great racing track, but simply just too narrow for cars this fast. 😢
Seems like the standard of driving in this series and talent isn't even close to the older days of f3 tbh. Be very lucky to see any of these guys in f1
Is the standard getting lower, or is there just not as many talented drivers? I think the fact that we can tell out of all of these drivers who the stars really are tells me that the system is doing it's job.
@@ramanjatonirinafarafehizor7421FR is the equivalent of the old F3 that used to race in Macau before 2019. The current Formula 3 that raced in 2019/2023 is the equivalent of GP3. Those were much too fast for Macau, which is why they switched to FR (which they should’ve done from the start)
Good coverage of an interesting race. The track though is really too narrow to allow proper racing which is why there are so many crashes, stoppages and safety car deployments
Junior Formulas in Macau never disappoints. They are just so entertaining, and we even got a deserved win, three restarts is a LOT to ask. And what this means is that we need more thrilling tracks, because the same drivers on a regular "safe and neutered" GP circuit is not as thrilling. Does not need that many stoppages but there has to be a happy medium somewhere. More elevation changes, narrower roads, enough grass and gravel to make the punishment severe for going off...

Yup. The safety car was so frequent that I thought this was a safety car race. My suggestion is that if the safety car is out for more than 2 laps then 1 lap should be added to the total laps and multiples thereof.
I don't know why they even bother racing here, there was about half a lap of racing and they started under the SC on a bone dry track and still managed to immediately have a pile up straight after.
It was far more exciting with F3 cars. The Tatuus Formula Regional car is so boring and provides no overtaking chances, also by replacing F3 with Formula Regional, drivers are younger thus unexperienced.
because it is the most challenging street circuit in the world and it stays the same for the past 71 years and some of the greatest drivers have won the prize in macau? and because the challenging nature of the circuit crashing is just part of the game here and i dont remember one year where there is no major crash. nothing is new. why dont race on the airport runway if you feel the street is too narrow and difficult or just go race over the simulator instead?
I love the Macau Gp the single seater race at macau is legendary....but please do not put such inexperienced drivers out there this level driving is too low for Macau
@@RichardMcLaren who me, I know a few probably like 6 or 7, I don't stray too far from F3 and some F4 in certain areas. I only know Camara in FRECA for example.
I was surprised to see "formula" cars racing at Macau "it isn't too dangerous for this kind of cars" I thought. the answer is yes 😅 formula cars can't stand the expected collisions of Macau
Ugo seems to be a coming Top-Driver, BUT I guess, he will become no chance for F1.... because he is so tall... that is also the main reason, because Nico Hülkenberg never has get a drive in a top team, even he is a top-driver.....
Mohammed Ben Sulayem having LOTS of controversy this week and we have 2023 LAS VEGAS GP free replay on RUclips and this race free replay? I sense some PR strategy to divert attention from the maFIA issues and the sacking of lots of key positions like F1 Race Director and Liberty Media CEO... COINCIDENCE? I DO NOT THINK SO!
Great to see the full race on RUclips. Good stuff FIA
Macau GP pretty much always is. Same with the livestream!
Hello mate!
There was a race? 😂
It's call Mafia, no FIA. 😉
Talentless nobody,s

thank you bro
Gran carrera Noel León! 🇲🇽
Congratulations Ugo Ugochukwu! Brilliantly controlled the whole weekend
how awesome it is to hear the tyres with this coverage? you never hear the sound feed from the actual pictures you see on F1….this is refreshing and brings a whole new dimension to the coverage.
Well that's factually incorrect. If you watch F1 on F1TV or Sky F1 you clearly don't pay attention.
@ i do watch on F1TV, and i do pay attention….so i disagree with you completely
Part of the reason may be the sound, these cars are quieter so sounds other than engine sound will be easier to hear.
Thank you, FIA, for sharing this remarkable event (both FR and GT) with us all weekend. Congratulations to UGO!
Bring the F3 cars back instead of the FR cars. DRS helped quite a lot with overtaking opportunities on the straight
Miss old F3 before 2018.
One of the hardest circuits of FIA, thanks for streaming.

Just watch the gt race it was very nice
@ agreed….but GT cars are able to withstand a bit more contact compared to open wheelers.
Proud of Noel León 🇲🇽 👏

Thanks for the content, excellent

FR and F3 are not on the same level. The driver are less experimented.

He's a McLaren junior.
Not that guy as f1 race director, rest in peace wet races in f1🙏

The safety car was about to run out of gas 😂
He is an IGBO man from South east , Biafra land ,Nigeria,
His IGBO name (Ugochukwu) means (God's Pride ) in English.
👏👏👏👏👏
Formula One should have two types of cars, one for wide tracks, the second for narrow ones/street circuits. Same sort of power, just narrower cars...
This race needs more laps bcs there will be SC 100% or red flag very likely which means the race will have like 6-7 proper laps
Definitely should be more laps.
Not sure that more laps mean more racing in this case
more laps = more crashes
the point is those drivers are not good enough for the track
@kinseychoi8054 valid point since they are mostly FRECA drivers.
Yup. The safety car was so frequent that I thought this was a safety car race. My suggestion is that if the safety car is out for more than 2 laps then 1 lap should be added to the total laps and multiples thereof.

Freca in macau 💀
Sloppy race. But that's macau
not because of Macau. Just because of those rookie drivers
@kinseychoi8054 yeah they are bit worse than some other years. Not as bad as that year they stopped them from racing at monza. Lol

Will he be able to fit in the car? He's a giant! Definitely looks taller than George Russell or Esteban Ocon.
They should drive with half the amount of cars OR the double amount of laps because this was just too much sc.
