Your future grandchlidren : Gran'ma! Gran'ma! Tell us about your wedding ! Annika : Well, it all started with the ENTIRE COUNTRY ON FIRE preventing me from sewing my dress. Then, there was that global pandemic ... (let's hope the very dramatic 2020 plottwists end there 😅)
I don't think they're over. 2020 is plot twist year. There was also that moment with Soleimani when everyone thought there would be nuclear war. It's only March.
Story: so there was a pandemic... 😂😂😂 That is a great start for a great story. You should do a vow renewal for your 1st year of marriage. That would be really nice.
Awwww, SOOOOOOO many tears of happiness for you both!!! There's always a snag in everyone's wedding plans, but you were fortunate enough to overcome it, and what a *wonderful* outcome! Congratulations, times infinity! Also, if you have any guilt over getting married before your huge wedding ceremony could be held, just remember that lots of people who have "destination weddings" (usually on a tropical island) the bride and groom have to be legally married in their home country anyway. This legal procedure is usually in front of a justice of the law (in the U.S. you're in a courthouse) with very, very few attendants. So, no big deal, right? (Well, okay, being *married* is, but not the order it all happens.) 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Now, all that being said, one last thing: Stay clear of this damn virus, ok?!? Much love to you!!
Yay, congratulations on the getting legally married thing ❤️ I don't know how they do it now, but story time: I'm Kurdish-Swedish, and many years ago I was visiting my extended family when my cousin was getting engaged. Now, in our culture the engagement has its own little party, and the wedding itself is traditionally a big three day m a s s i v e affair (like, last time I was at one it was held out in the neighborhood square with basically the whole town stopping by to party), though it's more common to rent a venue and make it just a one evening thing these days. But anyway. Traditionally, the bride and groom aren't supposed to hang out without chaperones etc etc. But by the time I was there to witness the engagement ceremony, it had become a bit of a trend for people to do the engagement ceremony stuff AND get religiously married at the same time. That way they could travel and do whatever they wanted until they could have the big massive actual wedding where they'd get legally married (the signing of the legal documents is part of the party, because everything is part of the party basically). What I'm saying is that, look, your wedding timeline night not be typical for a WESTERN wedding, but as far as I'm concerned getting married is a long process of parties and various levels of marriedness anyway and the way you're doing it now is perfectly normal to me 🤣
Hi, I'm also Kurdish and I also was married legally before having my wedding ceremony. And yes many Kurds do this. Anyway what's important is to be with your loved ones and for everyone to be safe and healthy. I'm glad a responsible decision was taken Annika
Congrats on the wedding guys, I'm overjoyed for you! I'm Italian, so I'll try to (quickly) share my insights on the situation. My sources are the chaos around me, my mom (a nurse) and various doctors I know. STAY HOME 1. The virus also affects seemingly healthy and young people. Yesterday a 27 yo died. She was the athletic type. STAY HOME. 2. Even if you're ok you could be carrying the virus, so "I'm ok" is no excuse to go around. STAY HOME. 3. It's not "just influenza" and is highly contagious. The situation in some parts of Italy is so dire the army had to take the dead in other parts of the country to be taken care of. STAY HOME My mom is a nurse, I'm supposed to get married this year. Please stay home. I want her to be there. I want her to become a granny. Please stay home. If you have any questions I'll do my best to reply. Don't underestimate this, stay home.
Ended up getting upset in Tesco as the cashier was talking shit about how it's "no big deal" and "my mum died of cancer, so it's not the end of the world if people die"... Ooooooh boy. I ended up snapping at her telling her there are people I love who of they get it *will* die, and that they are having to decide who to *let die* in Italy. God. I was so pissed. Her manger agreed with me that she was out of line, apparently she talks shit a lot, and has been told not to before. So yeah, a trip for food (because online delivery is impossible right now, even though we usually get it due to family struggling to go out) turned into me crying in Tesco and I've now got a migraine. FML. Why can't people just not be stupid? 😕😕❤️
I also had to postpone my wedding. Today was supposed to be the big day and I can’t help but cry every time I think about it. My thoughts and love are with you both ❤️
I'm so sorry. You'll be in my thoughts. Just remember, even this will come to an end and your special day will come, even if it doesn't seem like it now.
Last year, I was eating pizza with my boyfriend when he spontaneously proposed. It was April 1st. I didn't believe him at first. I said yes, and that night we started planning. We talked about it before and agreed we both don't like big weddings. So the day after getting engaged, we started calling local municipality offices to see when is the soonest date we can get married. We book for April 14th. We invited everyone we wanted there in person - total of 15 people, mostly parents and siblings. We told all of our friends via a photo in a group chat. In summary, we went from bf/gf to engaged to married in 2 weeks. And it was the best wedding ever. We are planning to have a big party like you one day (obviously not this year) but that day was absolutely perfect. Congratulations Luci and Annika! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Jelisaveta Đorđević I also got engaged last April fools day! And I’m having my Tiny Corona Wedding tomorrow. Because the date was really important to me: 3/21. So we just had to make it a much smaller gathering to abide by my state’s regulations, and we have lots of hand sanitizer. And then we’re gonna re-invite everyone to a big party for our first anniversary. So hopefully next year will be better and free of pandemics.
Awww, congrats! This reminds me of my own wedding... we were planning to get married, but like 6 or 8 weeks before I was losing my mind because plans kept spiraling and getting bigger and bigger. My husband asked me if I wanted to say to hell with it and just get married that weekend. So I bought a nice dress, we called our families, and then boom, we got married! It was fun... a great day!
The marriage is what’s really important; the wedding ceremony is sort of party-like. Right now you’ve got the most important thing done. Congratulations and Best Wlshes!
I'm so glad you two got married! It's so romantic of Luci to know that the reception and having extended family and friends would be nice to have, but the real reason of the wedding is to celebrate the love between two people like yourselves. I'm glad that you're both safe and healthy, and I cannot wait to see the rest of the dress, and for this whole thing to blow over! Best wishes from America!
I had to do this when my long time boyfriend got deployed when he wasn't supposed to. We decided to get legally married within a week and 2 years later we have a big wedding like we always wanted! I will say our actual wedding was not great lol! but hey maybe we can have a vow renewal party that's better!
I'm crying. I'm so glad you just got married.... fancy weddings are great - but that's just the celebration, you have the important part already. Stay safe and healthy!
I'm self-isolating for my granny. She's got a lot of underlying health conditions and current health issue. For those of you who are immunocompromised, I'm self isolating for you!! Stay safe!! 💕
Congratulations! My husband and I also had two weddings (almost 6 years ago) for different reasons of course. They were both wonderful. Even though we were already legally married it didn’t take anything away from the joy and fun of our second ceremony and party.
CONGRATULATION!!!! My cousin and his wife did something simlar. They had to postpone the wedding ceremony for health reasons, so so they basically eloped and then had a big ceremony on their first anniversary. Half a year after that, they married again in Thailand at the bride's family's place. It was so beautiful! So they married three times XD
This made me cry! So many happy tears. Congratulations to you both!!Have a fantastic corona virus free not publicly married working honeymoon. Sort of. I want to see this in a movie so I can put it on rewind. My heart is full! Congrats again, and I’m still crying!
Congratulations newlyweds! You are the best reason for us to stay put and starve the virus of fresh victims. I love all your videos Annika and your openness of life on the alternative side.
Oh when Luchi started thanking us for helping protect people like you by self isolating it made me start crying again. He's so sweet, and I'm so happy for you!
Congratulations you two! My own wedding was spur of the moment and then we went to Lowes in our formal wear XD. Love cannot be delayed or contained, and your happiness radiates through phones and computer screens worldwide!
I'm so happy for both of you! I can understand the feelings of nervousness and excitement while you improvised this. I think it will be a great memory that you can cherish during these difficult times! Congratulations :)
I think its great you had such a lets do it now ceremony. Rather than having to wait until it is safer not only for Annika but everyone else as well. CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🍾🎊🎈!!!!!!

I’m so happy that your rehearsal/actual wedding worked out!!! I wish I could like this video a billion times. Also I’ve been thinking of you a lot and I really appreciate the list of old videos you shared for us to rewatch.
Congratulations! You guys did the perfect thing and it will be a great story for the future. You can always have the full ceremony/celebration when this Covid-19 thing is over and done with. You are such a wonderful couple and so creative and just the best!
Just wanted to say congrats on finding happiness and not letting this pandemic take away your special day!!! And thank you for keeping the virus out of your dress videos. I had just had a panic attack before I watched your video because I had reached my limit of telling myself to stay calm while also hearing about this from everywhere. Just thank you!
So happy for the both of you, congratulations on your wedding! Just hearing the story made me smile. Can’t wait to hear what you have planned for each other next. The photos came out beautiful!
My wedding was suppose to be in 9 days but instead we also cancelled our celebration and will be live streaming our legal wedding from our living room. Our daughter is super excited about the whole situation! Congratulations to you both!!!
WOOOO!! I was expecting bad news but so happy to hear the BIG TWIST! A huge congratulations to you two and wishing you guys a happy and wonderful marriage! 😘😘
Congratulations!. I'm sorry you had to postpone your big wedding celebration, but this is the cutest most romantic way you could have done it in the situation. I'm social distancing (only going out when strictly necessary) I'm healthy but like you said I don't want to get it and possibly burden the health service or spread it to someone else, I also want to stay well for my parents who need my help right now. Your channel has always brought a smile to my lips. Stay safe and as healthy as you can.
So glad to have stumbled upon your videos. I was looking up embroidery randomly. Seeing this made me cry. So happy for you. Isolating here in America and I hope this all blows over soon so you can have your big day with everyone you love. Can’t wait to see your finished dress!
Congratulations. The true meaning of marriage is a union of two people in love so you are married it's just the celebration.Thank you for explaining who self isolating or taking precautions really helps.I hope this makes it real for people. Looking foreward to your next Vlog
My family definitely understands, my dad is compromised himself. So we understand the stress you’re under. We self isolated a week ago, we get it. Hoping you two continue to stay well, congratulations on your marriage! I’m so glad you guys managed it before needing to self isolate for your safety!
As wild as this story is, its super romantic and I’m glad you guys were able to get married before all of this craziness! I wish you all the best and I hope your planned wedding comes soon! 💖
Yay!!! So happy for you both and that you were able to celebrate your relationship! 💕 I love your love. Can’t wait to see more about the wedding dress. Stay safe and healthy!
So basically...
“We has to postpone our wedding but also we shotgunned it”
LOL 😂
“Staying home right now makes people like Annika safer” if that doesn’t convince anyone I don’t know what will
UGH.. sadly enough for so many people, that just does not matter.
