Thank you for putting in your video the before, during, and after PMCS (preventative maintenance checks and services) of your tools! I have been watching your creativity for awhile. I enjoy the way you build your creations from Idea to physical operational tools or vehicles ! Thank you for all that you do as a "Value" creator ! Michael
Good to see you back here Donn! Having a baby will do that to a young man. I really like that UTV it has aged well and seems like the perfect farm vehicle.
It's always a good time making firewood. After watching this, it has reminded me that I need to do the same thing... Maybe when the weather warms up for you over there, you can paint that nice splitter you made... Make it look pretty... Hope you're doing well my friend.
Wow, watching this homemade log splitter in action is like witnessing a lumberjack's dream come true! 🔥 Definitely beats the old-fashioned axe method - now I just need a machine to stack the wood for me too! 😂
You should get a hookaroon. It'll let you pick up or move the bucked wood without bending over. We recently got one for our firewood operation, and it's been a total back saver!
Weirdest thing. I'm a subscriber, but the video doesn't show under my subscriptions. I love your skid-steer. It always makes me smile when I see it, it kind of looks like a toy 😂 don't get me wrong, I would love to have one myself. Love the video 👍
Same here! YT showed it in my recommendations, but not in my subscription feed. And same for the skidsteer, don't know where to store it, but I want one
Very satisfying, thank you. How come your wood splitter is all rusty? I thought you painted it? Nevertheless, I always love your videos. Snowy greetings from Sweden
@@DonnDIY are we going to see a build serries on the splitter, I love it, ot seems to function with low tractor rpms, what power do you think it requires eg 50hp 80hp ???? Thanks, great work as always
Great to see a video where you use the stuff you have made 🙂 I am sure some thoughts about that bucking process and your timber trailer went through your mind as you were bucking with the chainsaw. Video did pop up in both suggestions and my subscription feed so no worries there.
I hate the stacking of fire wood .. like the splitting with the log splitter ..then there is the clean up bark and wood chips ..got a old wood hot air furnace in my shop its a pole barn .. Your machine is working good ..
What happened to your old firewood processor with the integrated chainsaw to cut the logs prior to splitting them? Also, have you considered making a detachable counterweight for your small skid steer?
Hi Donn I really enjoy watching your videos I'm wondering where is the machine that lifting cutting and splitting then a belt carrying fire wood to container
Those Carbide chains can be very expensive. Often they don’t go blunt, but the link pins wear and they stretch and you end up throwing them out because the pitch lengthens so much it starts to wear drive and tip sprockets excessively. They have their place, but most professional foresters don’t use them.
So glad you posted a new instalment, Don! I thought you had retired. But it breaks my heart to see that beautiful splitter being eten by rust.

I'm very happy to see you again here. You are amazing fast to cut wood
All the effort in buidling this machines pays off now!
👍👍👍

I like this splitter much better, than the last one with the chain saw on it.
It is so simple and will likely last a lot longer.
Nice job! This type of videos are fun to watch between the fabrication videos! Cheers mate!

I am glad I do not live in a time when the chainsaw had not yet been invented, fantastic tool!
Another good video, thank you for sharing 👍👍👍👍
Another enjoyable video, Donn. You have a great weekend
It’s still a lot of work! My respect. 👍👍👍👍👍
You should add some weights to the back of that skid steer

Yup, you're right. I've thought about getting/building one but haven't gotten to it yet.
Good job...almost done!

There is a thing were channels play with That to gain more views from non followers
I get the impression that Donn might have done this a time or two... = ) Hope you and yours are all safe and well matey.
Didn't you build a log processor just for this very thing? With an auto conveyor system...is it broken?
I thought he said it was sold.

That's a badass log splitting machine!
Cheers!

Buen trabajo y el partidor funciona genial . 💪💪💪👍👍👍
Love it 🤩
5:56 at this point I'm wondering what happened to the saw that was part of the splitter build
Looking forward to the videos where you build your own version of this
This is my own version of a wood splitter - I built it myself.👍

@@DonnDIYI must have missed the “homemade” in the title. Very nice. Hope to see a build series of videos (or did I miss that too?)
I'm subscribed but never received a notification for the video and it doesn't even show up on my subscriptions. It was a suggested video.
RUclips seems determined to bury this video, I couldn’t find it in my notifications and had to go looking for it on your channel!
I don't know what's up with that...
@@DonnDIY Same for me and a few others by the looks of it mate. First time I have had it happen so it is recent.

Never a shortage of things that need to done.
Great-clean ... -ü-
Maybe put storage boxes on stones :
Let air pass / dry wood?
Time for a bunker series.
What happened to the processor
I guess that Donny forget to paint it;)
Nice💪
Friend, I ask you to buy a saw chain sharpening machine - EVERY TIME it will be LIKE NEW!!!

seda 2:1 log splitterit pole enam? mis ette saagis ja siis lõhkus

You don't file chains today you can get carbide chains, and chain that can cut anything stone metal glass check it out

How many people pay to go to gyms when they could just do this?
