    Great Job! I have owned this exact model for about 15 years and I love it. It’s known in the family as The Limo.
    Mine was originally made for the police force but was sold to the public instead. The body was galvanised so it has zero rust.
    The paint had fallen off when I first got it so all I had to do was have it painted.
    I’m looking forward to seeing how yours comes out. It’s looking great!

      That's forward thinking in galvanising the body. This build is a bush ready build, so won't be show room quality. But great for camping and 4WDing.

    Hey mate. Love your cruisers! I was wonder where you get your panels made. I feel like you mentioned it once but can’t seem to find it.
    Keep up the good work

    Why do you heat the place where the new part will be welded? 3:40
    More specifically, why did you only do the inside and not the outside? or was it done and not shown?

    • @40ChannelCruiser
      @40ChannelCruiser  Год назад +1

      Hi mate, the metal was very cold on this morning, by pre-heating the metal it reduces the cooling rate of the weld and drives out moisture as well as minimises the temperature difference between the material and the arc, only need to heat one side as the heat travels through the metal.

    Hey mate, what products would you recommend to seal up a chassis? I've hot water blasted it, sanded and rust treated the areas that needed it and painted the chassis. I want some kind of penetrol, lanolin type product that I can spray every year or so to keep the underside rust free? Also any suggestions on a cavity sealer for doors etc?

      If you check out R88 from Chemtools this stuff is awesome.
      Lanolin is a great option too, spray on every couple of months.
