22lr ammo has lube on the bullets for a reason. It started shooting better because it was getting the barrel seasoned. It would of done the same if the barrel started out clean or a different brand of ammo was used. To test different brands of 22lr you need to clean in between the different brands and shoot at least 10 rounds to coat the barrel with the different lube.
After seeing both videos I am totally a Bergara fan. I have a B-14 in 6.5 Creedmoor with the shorty 18" sub moa barrel. She is just begging for a can. The rifle makes me look good at the range. I love it. ❤❤❤
We all know you're a good shooter. What you have here is the barrel getting conditioned to the load. It can take more than 10 rounds from a clean barrel for it to get conditioned. Same principal if you change ammo. Fire at least 10 shots before shooting for groups. Also aim small hit small. Select a small aim point. Like the smallest you can see clearly that doesn't get hidden completely by the crosshairs. Finally, in that quality rifle, try some match ammo. Yes its expensive but they are more consistent. With the right load you could probably do even better. Most of that match ammo is sub sonic. If you shoot faster ammo it will drop to subsonic before 100 yards. So you're better off not shooting anything faster than the speed of sound for 100 yards. One detail you forgot to mention is the action is the same footprint as a Rem. 700 so any chassis or trigger that fits a Rem 700 would fit this action. Great rifle.
Same here went big bore handguns, then the first of 6 grandkids came along! I got back into rimfire for the cost savings, but find I can't put them down! Now my grandkids shoot my big bored and I'm shooting the rimfires! Lol!
I have one also that’s been rebarreled with a 22” IBI strait taper barrel, the carbon barrel sucked, and that gun with eley match should put them all in the same hole
Awesome shooting, definitely a impressive bing bang, every Bergara I’ve dealt with seems to be a great shooter, bar none. Of course you did your part too so kudos to you.
WTW!! You may qualify for the next Winter Olympics.. great groups, I enjoy shooting the Norma Tac 22. 22lr in general it’s fun and the rounds are cheap good practice on breathing and trigger control
That is a sweet setup you have right there. I hope you and the household are all well and getting by. I haven't always been around to watch all the videos since last year. Have the best 2022 you can for you and all!! WHO-TEE-WHO!!
Hows your experience been with Hawke optics? Got a ruger american 308 a month or so ago and put a Hawke vantage IR 4-12x40mm scope on it. Seems to be decent so far. Great vid as always WTW.
I have trialled many many rounds of standard velocity/subs in my B14 and i have settled with SK Standard Plus because it gives me as good accuracy and consistency (And better than most) as any mid range/high end ammo does. I only have access up to 100 yards for target shooting here in the UK. My test also included the likes of Lapua Centre X/Midas and Eley Tenex, so i can save myself a few quid with the SK. Happy days.
Great shooting. I hear you control your breathing like he does when he shoots long distance competitions. He was a sniper and you shoot a LOT like he does. Controlling the breathing also slows your heart rate as well
The B14 HMR in 6.5 creed is a ton of fun, and a beast. Great value for a rifle with such thoughtful features, too. Only issue is weight, but it's definitely not a deal breaker, especially with that awesome barrel.
Nice shooting. It makes me wonder how my cva optima elite that I bought years ago actually shoots. I have a 50 cal muzzleloader Barrel and a 308. Never really used it but my understanding is that they are bergara barrels
Have you looked into barrel break in procedures for your guns because alot of manufacturers guarentee sub moa but a bunch of the new guns I've seen you sight in dont shoot sub moa at 100 yards until you've shot quite a bit out of them
A fine bing bang with good glass on it, this would have been a squirrel hunting sniper tool for sure. Thanks again WTW, good shooting and gods speed to you and yours. 👍🇺🇸🙏🏻
Awesome to see a recommendation get reviewed. Thanks WTW! Any chance on the wilderness terrain in 308 getting a review haha don’t want to press my luck but I’d have to say you have the most trust worthy reviews.
I have a 457 MTR 16.5" in an Oryx Chassis with a polished sear and lighter trigger spring that I'm very fond of. However, my B14R's, carbon or steel, each with Trigger Tech triggers, will smoke it at both 50 and 100 all day long.
@@scarbourgeoisie that’s sweet. I have cz457 with manners and timney trigger at about 7 ounces with Midas+ or SK it’s absolutely amazing. Can smack eggs at 275-300 if wind cooperates. My buddie just picked up a bergara can’t wait to try it out. Looks awesome. 👍
Thats a sweet bolt action .22. I'd like to see a side by side comparison of some bulk ammo like winchester whitebox or remington golden bullets and see how much difference ammo makes. Thanks w2w!
I have two B14's, both the carbon and the steel. They are very ammo picky, especially beyond 50 yds. At 50 yds, I get really good results with CCI std. vel. and even better with higher grade stuff. B14's don't seem to mind Remington Thunderbolt at 50 yds, but at 100 it's all over the place. I use BBM 40gr @ 100 yds for MOA or sub-MOA results. Federal Match works pretty good too. I won't spend more than $7-8 for 50 box of 22. Match 22 ammo is the same price as 22 WMR, so I shoot that instead if I'm going spending $15-$20/box of 50 on ammo.
Got the same one. But I bought the action only and put it into into an MDT XL LSS chassis with a Accu-Tac bipod and upgrade to a triggertech trigger . They are Lights out with good ammo.
That's impressive for not having a really light trigger and using cheaper ammo. I laughed at my buddy for having the money he had invested in this 22 LR and after I shot his B-14R I ended up getting one of my own. I'm not laughing anymore, I'm too busy smiling 😁
Wow, nice! Besides some fine trigger work, sometimes the rimfires do better as the bore gets some fouling in it. Mine does anyways (Ruger Precision Rimfire).
@@itsjustjoe3790 it really just depends on the style of shooting and the size of youth. This is a full sized Remington 700 rifle it weights 13ish pounds with scope and bipod. I like it because I can swap expensive parts from this to another centerfire barreled action and basically shoot the exact same rife in a different caliber.
I will just have to put it on my list, but its a very long list. But the reality of it is I'm just going to have to make do, and be greatful. Guns are like Potatoe chips, once you open the bag....
My favorite round is 7.62x39 . They are unobtainable in bolt action or triple the price if you can find one now. Your video was extremely popular. I hope the trend ends and most go back to .556

Yea what he said
sweet bing bang... that Tac 22 is the most accurate 22lr I've used... GREAT VID WTW!!

Man I am so interested in this rifle for some tune up on my scope skills on a budget.
I love it
I now know my next purchase! Been waiting for a great .22 video!
Nice shooting, I just picked up the Bergara BMR with the Carbon Fiber wrapped barrel chambered in 17HMR and the thing is insanity accurate! 💥💥💥
I love my bergara there hard to beat
That’s crazy. That barrel got getter as it got hotter. Good shooting.
My wife has the exact same rifle. When shooting Eley Match, RWS R50 or Lapua Center-X, she gives my Anschutz 1710 a real run for it’s money.

Its amazing how when we were young we loved rimfire. Hit my teens I wouldn't touch a rimfire. Im almost 50 and I love rimfire again.

Incredible Groups brother awesome rifle great shooting Best groups I've ever seen with 22 Rifle
I've seen a few videos on that rifle and from what I remember nobody showed results. Those groups are impressive 👏

A very pretty gun, it’s definitely got my attention. Hadn’t heard of this brand until about a year ago.
They are new in the market. Spanish company that has been making barrels for other companies and aftermarket for a lot longer than rifles.
I have it in 308! One of my favorite rifle!
I’m thinking very hard about picking up the bergara bmr carbon version from everything I seen so far it’s a tack driver and only $600
