    Really like the looks of this gun and how it shoots. As soon as they make a lefthanded version i will buy one, as both the wife and i are southpaws. I know they make yhe b14r in lefthand but my limited veterans budget precludes that particular rifle at this time. I wish these companies would consider southpaws more than they do. There are a lot more of us these days.

      Hopefully left hand comes soon! Unfortunately from the manufacturing and market side, left hand is a relatively small seller so sometimes it's hard justify the production costs. Thanks for watching!!!!

    The owner's manual shows iron sights in the exploded parts diagram. Hopefully that means a version with said sights on the rifle is in the works for the future.

    Just found your site while looking for a Bergara 22. I really enjoy your calm and cool method of communicating. At 78, I don't speed listen any more.
    Been set on a B14R but after seeing this on the BMR and Josh's info it brings up the question: Is the B14R really worth the extra 3-400 dollars for backyard shooting? I would be interested in your opinion.
    Looking forward to more of your work. JimE

    My bolt cocking/decocking is EXTREMELY stiff. There is no way that it will ever be as smooth as all of the BMRs I've seen in action on RUclips. Also, the bolt handle binds badly in the action/channel when moving it down and up out of the locked position. Every video I've seen, the bolt handle moves very smoothly and easily in the locking channel, or whatever it is called in the receiver. Some of the Cerakote has already worn off the bolt handle, is this normal? Or, do I have to send this BMR back for service/adjustment? I can't believe Bergara sent a rifle out like this.

      It's just difficult. I prefer to put the bolt body in a soft jaw vice, but you could also use pliers and a leather belt for more leverage.

      @@darrondb what about impacting the chamber face

    • @darrondb
      @darrondb  2 года назад +1

      It's conceivable that you may eventually dimple the chamber face by dry firing, but with competition guns, the benefits of dry firing far outweigh this possibility. Of course, using snap caps would mitigate this
