Jonas, you are so right, MyKayla should totally still be in the gymnastics world. I know it won’t be in the way it was before, but girl, you have so much to bring to the table with your experience and years in the game. Jonas, I love how you push MyKayla to be proud of her gymnastics history and talent and to go beyond just being a retired gymnast. You can be just like your idols like Shawn Johnson because you are on her level MyKayla. Be more confident in yourself because you are more than just a former gymnast and soon to be mother. You are MaKayla Skinner, Bad A** Olympic gymnast! ❤
Antepartum depression (being depressed during pregnancy) is not talked about enough! I was the same way! I had such bad sciatica nerve pain and lightning crotch that I was so miserable and in so much pain throughout both my pregnancies. I was SOOOO happy/ relieved once I had both my kids! I hope you feel the same way once you’re no longer pregnant!
Me too ! I’m 4.11 and all my gosh my hips .. as an endurance athlete . I couldn’t run so much pain had horrible Braxton hicks straight horrible cramps ! Wasn’t pleasant .. my girl broke my rib kicking me .. pregnancy is a lot .. but she is 6 now and I always give her crap for kicking me so hard 😂..
I feel this! The newborn stage I would take a 1000 times over being pregnant. Hated every minute. I cried all the time, felt so sorry for myself. Loved the newborn stage.
Pregnancy is hard! You got this mama! Just remember, hard doesn't mean bad! Good things - pregnancy, parenting, marriage, etc. - are all hard things, but they are also really great, wonderful things! Keeping perspective is key! Everything you're dealing with and will deal with is just a season, it will end, you will get through it, and it will all be worth it!
Pregnancy is so hard and so long, I relate to everything you’re saying. I didn’t like being pregnant and felt sick or uncomfortable the whole time too. It’s soo normal to be feeling all those things you’re feeling. Hang in there! Once you have that baby it will be so worth it! Postpartum can be really hard too and it takes time to heal your body, rest as much as you can once baby arrives! For me, I thought pregnancy was harder than postpartum but everyone’s experience is different.
I can't believe that it's been 9 months and that baby girl will be here any day now! You look absolutely stunning for your maternity shoot and I loved seeing behind the scenes!
I’m so sorry your pregnancy has been so hard! Please go easy on yourself and pray a lot, God will give you strength! I hope this encourages you, my pregnancies were hard, but my babies were great babies, and I was much happier when they were born. I think I had pregnancy depression vs. post partum depression. Jonas you are her rock and her support at this time. God has called you both to this and he will equip you!
I can't believe you are almost due. To me at least it went by fast. I can relate being miserable during pregnancy. I was the same way but with other problems.. They ARE worth it!! ❤🙏
Jonas rib popping is definitely a thing. My chiropractor and osteopath hate me, because if I take a deep breath my ribs pop out. This is most common right after an adjustment for me. Pregnancy loosens all the things, so ribs pop out a lot more often. Hips and pelvis literally have to move to make room for baby and those ligaments and joints moving make ya want to cuss like a sailor on leave. MyKayla I feel for you so much.
You are not alone in feeling like that, I watched so many of my friends have these blissful pregnancies and I threw up every day and was so swollen and miserable. When she is born you will find your joy, and it came time so the biggest thing is to not put pressure on yourself.
I’m at the part of the video where you’re talking about seeing all your friends have “easier” pregnancies & yours has been so hard. & I just want you to know I see you. My pregnancy (& labor & postpartum tbh) was extremely difficult. I had severe preeclampsia. None of my friends went thru that. So it’s hard to relate to that being someone who really struggled thru the whole experience. So, I just wanted you to know I see you - you’re not alone in not loving pregnancy. I always say I can be extremely grateful to be pregnant but also not love it. The two are not mutually exclusive. Hope you get some relief soon! 🩵
Baby girl, you’re gonna feel guilty. I had two healthy pregnancies all nine months both times I vomited every single day. But they’re both flourishing one is D1 college fb player the others Ivy League bound. It’s all worth it. Sending you and your family love and light.❤️🙏🏾
Heads up on the mamaroo swing! I was also gifted one at my shower and found out later there is a newborn insert needed for the first few months! It’s inexpensive and on Amazon
It sounds like you have been really supportive for MyKayla Jonas. Just a little word of advice for a new father, after a woman has a baby. She is going to go through so many hormonal changes all at once right after birth, so please do not take anything she says, or does personal. Things will get back to the way they were, but all she needs right after having the baby is so much emotional support, love and understanding. I will be praying for you guys throughout the rest of your pregnancy journey, especially for your delivery MyKayla. If you can be a gymnast for as many years as you were, and go to the Olympics and pull out a silver metal under the circumstances that you were in, you can do anything, especially childbirth. You got this girl! You are strong, you are brave, and you are capable of more than you know. I cannot wait to see your beautiful baby girl and I can’t wait to see what you name her! ❤
I had the exact same problem with my rib when pregnant and the chiropractor really was the only thing that helped. He definitely did something, as I’d get relief from the rib pain but feel bruised, so I’d take an ice pack with me and whack it on once I got adjusted and it really made the difference.
I have found a new love for watching college gymnastics but never was part of that world. I would love for someone to explain everything to me! Could you do college commentary 101 on youtube? You would be great at it! ❤
I don’t think that it’s dumb. Nothing that you do is dumb. Never put yourself down like that. I think your gymnastics days were amazing and beautiful and I didn’t watch the real and I thought it was amazing by the way.❤❤
I am 6 months pregnant and last night I had to take Tylenol because my ankles, wrists, and one of my left ribs started hurting. I am hoping this doesn’t mean I will have ankle arthritis and carpel tunnel when I am old.
I got bad Charlie horses with one of my kids and I had to eat a banana in morning and before bed and I don’t get them anymore after. So I did that from beginning with second and never got one.
My daughter was a high level gymnast. She had the worst pregnancy ever. Sick and in pain all the time. I honestly think bk u are so in shape it makes it painful bk your muscles are so in shape and strong.
Being so much smaller makes it so hard on your body. When there isn’t alot a room for a baby it can be so painful for you! Hope you feel better soon and your birth is easy! You got this!!
I hope you are talking to professionals, still, as I worry about you dealing with serious post partum issues with how tough the pregnancy has been and then the natural exhaustion and stress of being a new mom.
I think Jonus will struggle the most...he will mature greatly if he can grow from it though. Makayla though, I think she's more clued up - just needs Jonus to majorally step up
@anovemberstar Remember that you don't personally know them and what we see is just a tiny glimpse of their reality. If you are concerned about something, your positive support or suggestions would likely help them more than derision and public condemnation.
Excited for your baby to come!!! I know you don’t think this now….but you will forget how miserable you are and will likely do it again. Lol. 😂😂 BTW…I was always thankful to be pregnant but I am miserable my whole pregnancy. I am talking hospital stays the whole entire time. I am not someone who enjoys being pregnant because of all this. It dosent mean I didn’t count my blessings it just meant my experience was rough!
Just remember not all your pregnancies will be the same! My second was easier. My first, I was a zombie and could not sleep. Had insomnia the whole pregnancy. I slept amazing during my second. And also, once you see your baby, you'll forget all the hard parts of the 9m journey. It will literally go POOF, never existed!
this isnt a hate comment but i wouldn’t say you inspired so many gymnasts to do a pirouette into a dismount as so many gymnasts have done before you that combo has been popular for the last 20+ years
👨🏻🦳👱🏻♀️ Congratulations TEAM❗️ You’re doing GREAT❗️ My first wife gave me 6 beautiful children (2 boys & 4 girls) in that order. Each step gets harder but MORE REWARDING while raising family. . . When the last child leaves the nest, you’ll go on grieving in life, wishing you could have made wiser choices than you did but GOD doesn’t want raising a family to be easy. . . Even though you may spiritually see one of your children being escorted by 12 angels into the birthing room before his or her birth , just wait until you have visions of eternity in the Holy Temple. . . You’ll suddenly be glad that you suffered all that you suffer for your family because you’ll have eternity to be pleased with what you experience in mortality 👍🏻 ✅ 🎯

Yes! The reel was not dumb! Loved it!
That would require JONAS to grow up and stop dumping everything on this wife… his toxic masculinity has gotten so gross

Thank you Jonas for encouraging the gymnastics content. I will always click on anything gymnastics related that you do
Omg it’s already been 9 months!! It feels like yesterday when I was rooting for you on the Olympics 😅 so excited for you!!!

So glad you guys are back. Best of luck w the pregnancy x
This is exactly how I felt pregnant too. So relatable you are not alone!
I’m 35 weeks and I feel your struggle! I hope it gets better for you soon ❤
So happy to get another video 🙂 I m currently rewatching your older ones 😁

Ah man I had hyperemesis too, was on Zofran till I gave birth. I feel you, its tough!
I love u as a gymnsat u were my fav out there. I cannot belive you are going to have a baby, congrats!!
Good luck !!! U can do it! You are strong!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ happy for you both!
Jonas, I’ve got hEDS and it’s easy to pop a rib out. Normal people can do it too, it happens. Chiropractors absolutely help with that.
Heads up on the mamaroo swing! I was also gifted one at my shower and found out later there is a newborn insert needed for the first few months! It’s inexpensive and on Amazon
Yes, Never leave gymnastics !
You look so beautiful in the pics!

you are amazing. please know that you will be a wonderful mother.Have you gotten any advise from Shawn Johnson.
wish you have funny moment together !!!! Take care and cu soon
My sister has the same problem with her rib and has to get it popped back in place. All the best. ❤️
Yup I did too during my pregnancy
So glad I’m not the only one still needing zofran this far in pregnancy too! I feel guilty but the nausea is real!
Never feel guilty! You can’t give the best to your baby if you aren’t at your best! Nausea sucks badly. Do what helps you be your best! ❤❤❤
When you are pregnant your ribs and the muscles around them are expanding for the baby and they pop out easier than normal
I don’t think that it’s dumb. Nothing that you do is dumb. Never put yourself down like that. I think your gymnastics days were amazing and beautiful and I didn’t watch the real and I thought it was amazing by the way.❤❤

27th of September is when my twins were born last year!
It’s all his fault cause he is sooooo tall! 😂 Hang in there Myk ❤!!
I got bad Charlie horses with one of my kids and I had to eat a banana in morning and before bed and I don’t get them anymore after. So I did that from beginning with second and never got one.
Must be a September due date and the rib cage issues. My mom had it with my brother (9/11) his ex my niece (9/29). You are so close!!!
I liked laboring on the toilet. Helps with pressure.
My daughter was a high level gymnast. She had the worst pregnancy ever. Sick and in pain all the time. I honestly think bk u are so in shape it makes it painful bk your muscles are so in shape and strong.
Looking good! 🫶 Good practical reality discussion
The chiropractor works girl ! It did for me and it can also put you in labor ..
Being so much smaller makes it so hard on your body. When there isn’t alot a room for a baby it can be so painful for you! Hope you feel better soon and your birth is easy! You got this!!

September 29..I remember as it’s my niece’s bday

Uh....you've been busy growing a human being. That's enough.
A chiropractor should not be touching your body. Go see a physio.
Many chiropractors are very good and no different from PTs
Not everyone enjoys being pregnant. If you think this is hard...wait until you have a newborn and your body hurts.
I guess you’re done with gymnastics completely. Which is so sad 😭
Good god girl quit whining!
Then stop watching. Easy fix.
