Thank you Prasanna. You can omit the spices. Use 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (if using essence 1/2 teaspoon should be good). Stir in some chocolate chips with the nuts. Should taste good.

You can use a loaf pan or even a round tin. Fill the batter halfway full, the baking time will vary depending on the pan size. You can use melted butter, but it will take a bit longer to bake as compared to cake with oil. Butter has water content.
