    What symptoms or problems have you experienced with a ketogenic diet?

    • @Juliet_Capulet
      @Juliet_Capulet Год назад +4

      Serious, awful, crippling depression. I have tried keto so many times. The most recent time (a few years ago), I was on keto for a few days, trying to tough it out until I got all those benefits everyone talked about, and I was outside in my garden with traffic on the other side of my lawn and all of a sudden I thought: I could just step out there right now. I could step in front of a car, it would be so easy. After that I haven't ever tried keto again.

      Yeah, that's significantly scary stuff. But I've heard stories like yours a lot. At least it makes sense to you now. And if your blood pressure is real low, or you have any digestive symptoms, I don't think you NEED to use keto. You can achieve a lot of the same goals with a low carb diet like I describe in my book that is free in the description. But if you really want to do keto, go through our free digestion course and correct the issues that need to be corrected and you'll be able to figure out if things are going well enough to see if it's worth trying again. But again, you probably don't need to use keto if it created that much of a problem for you.

      YEah, @Alba del Valle , I was keto carnivore for more than 5 years before I started experiencing imbalances that it created. I still use them, but I cycle them according to my chemistry. It's all about understanding how to watch your body chemistry and working with your body instead of against it.

      I thought a bad diet was the cause of my constipation, so keto for 5 weeks & aload of omad, I lost over 2 stone in that 5wks, now having multiple gut issues, had lots of tests, been 6 months know I've just been recorded with a high 252 cal protein level, so going to be getting more tests now, so downloaded your book to hopefully help me work this out.

    I think a big mistake people make when they switch to keto or low carb is they don't supplement with electrolytes. This is the mistake i made and suffered low energy and moodiness. I started drinking electrolytes, slowly, and felt like a new person. Tons of energy and just a general feeling of well being.

    Omg. I was dying on keto. 2 months in I hurt everywhere. Was so wiped out I could barely move. I stated just eating ribeyes for a week. In a few days I felt incredible! Unfortunately, now that I’ve been on carnivore for a couple of years, I just discovered that I don’t have enough stomach acid. I’m taking bottles of HCL. I just watched your SIBO video. Learned so much! Thank you for all you’re doing! ❤

    I wish I had seen this before I went Keto, my whole world turned upside down, and even worst when I tried Carnivore.
    I did lose weight on keto but the issues I developed are ongoing 5 years straight. I developed Gall Bladder Issues, Hormonal issues, period issues, and gut issues. I could eat 5 ripe bananas without issue day or night but after going keto I can't digest bananas or certain foods. To help digest foods I turned to drink Pepsi and put on all the weight I had lost but still can't digest foods properly. I wake every single night with indigestion, i am constipated and my energy is gone all from doing Keto.

    Wow! This is exactly what I'm going through now. I'm having both digestive issues and nutrients deficiencies. I went carnivore 2 months ago because histamines and all kinds of antinutrients from plants has become an issue for me. Was vegan (mostly raw) for almost 10 years, and had to move more and more away from the plants because of the antinutrients. I feel carnivore is working the best for me now, but I have had issues with chronic diarrhea from the start, and my electrolytes is difficult to keep up. 😪 I have started taking beet flow and HCl. I hope that will help. 🙏 Thanks for sharing, love love your videos so much - learning so much. I've stopped taking fish oil and I make sure to not take any magnesium at night. That has helped with my insomnia. ❤

      @@KickItNaturally yes I am taking the course now. I did healthy keto for about 20 years (with occasional non keto foods/wasn't super obsessed) enjoyed it and was healthy for years...(I just love fitness and Nutrition) ...but some life events threw a curve ball that I started letting unhealthy fake foods back in... and caused me very serious digestion problems and other health issues... The perfect storm... and now trying to find "Natural help" is almost impossible.... so sad... I have been concerned about eating too much carbs for insulin resistance to become a problem since it's hard to digest protein ... I thought maybe I was just making an excuse and becoming addicted to carbs now.. Lol. So Thank you again for having the insight and wisdom in understanding how sometimes it's a deeper issue.

    Absolutely fascinating--again. Every one of your videos has been so enlightening. And I usually think I know a lot already, lol! My breath rate is 12--taken 3 times...and I've been feeling terribly fatigued lately. I don't know my bp because I get such anxiety when I try to take it, it's so stressful and then I don't even know if it's accurate because I'm freaking out a bit. Been working on getting up and outside 1st thing in the morning for sunlight in my eyes and bare feet on the ground for at least 5 minutes (cold this time of year), a 10 minute morning walk, more time outside during the day, dim lights or candles after dark, early bedtime, less screen time, etc, to increase melatonin and reset my circadian rhythm. But I have been having lots of digestive issues since I had a colonoscopy 2 months ago and think I need your digestion course. Just got your book, thank you so much for that. Thank you SO MUCH for all you do. You are incredible. 🌷

      Thanks Strawberry Girl. I really appreciate the appreciation. :)
      Yeah, chapters 3 and 4 will walk you through digestion a bit, and once you do all your self-tests, you'll have a much better idea of what is causing the anxiety and fatigue and such. And all those steps you are taking truly can be helpful for some. But once you correct the underlying causes of these issues, you probably won't need to do those things anymore unless you want to. For the anxiety stuff, if you haven't seen this one yet, this could give you more insights. ruclips.net/video/UokNi-R9iLk/видео.html
      Keep us posted on how it goes once you've tested all the self-tests we talk about in the book and the free digestion course. I think you're going to get some clarity and clarity if fun.

    Im doing keto but i might start getting more carbs. I'm experiencing low oxygen levels, my stomach acid is low, and I'm trying to get better. I'll still eat good fats (chicken, olive oil, beef) but will add more carbohydrates. I went from eating carbohydrates to less than 25 a day and my head is going crazy 🤣. My bile has improved on a keto diet after transitioning from a low-fat diet (stool is brown again) so healthy fats will stay. No sugar still but ill get more carbs in different ways. Thank you sr, I'm a young person dealing with this by myself and you have helped me tons. Grateful for the information 🎉🎉

    I wish I'd seen this before I went keto. Life-long constipation and acne issues, as well as low blood pressure mean I shouldn't have done it. I've now developed what I think is rosacea (the kind that looks like acne, of course) and my blood pressure is much lower. I'm exhausted all the time. I was before and that's why I started keto in the first place, but I never did get the energy everyone talks about, and now I'm even more exhausted. ☹
    I'm going through your free digestion course and have started taking Betaine HCL and a tea to help get the bile flowing. I assume the tea is working because my stool has gotten darker. Also working to increase minerals. Thanks for sharing this vital information!

    First one is so true. I had a bit of constipation before doing keto/carnivore, but carnivore just made it several times worse and I have no idea why bringing to thee table bloating, burping and stomach pains as well. I thought the more fat you eat - the loosier stool you get, but it wasn't the case at all for me. Getting back to carbs gave me energy and reduced constipation a bit. Yet though I've made almost all gastroenterology tests I couldn't find a single reason for having constipation. Perhaps I can't digest fats that good and stool gets too light to be moved or something...

      Getting depressed like never before was also a reward from following carnivore, I just didn't want to anything and not to think about anything. I'm not sure how low blood pressure has to do with anything of that, but my breath rate is around 5 if I count correctly.

      @@KickItNaturally Eating more carbs definetily makes me feel better, but damn, carbs are still bad energy source that are easily to overeat. Even having a dinner without carbs drops my energy down and breathing rate down to 5-6 again. I have no cravings at all though, so I really don't understand why my body is so unwilling to get energy from fats or to have normal blood pH to have normal breathing rate. And it's not just that, I get heart palpitations, stomach pains, dry eyes and dehydrated skin that get marks on it very easily. It's as if my body can't function properly without having insulin spikes that carbs do, water and minerals leave out like crazy I suppose.

      Cofn and peanuts are horrible on the digestive system. They cause inflammation and are very difficult to break down properly. Also, all corn in the USA is GMO, so I would try to avoid for that reason alone. Peanuts contain mold, unfortunately (I do like an occasional pb treat though lol). Oh, and corn also is very high glycemic. There's just really nothing nutritious about it. There's a reason it's chosen to fatten livestock.

    Will thick bile increase blood sugars or make one hypoglycemic? I tried hcl in the middle of the meal and Tudca 1hr after the meal and 20 mins later theres was a champion out the back door. Is this a positive sign and going in the right direction? Still a little pain in the liver region/under arm but perhaps to keep up with this style and see how it goes. • @ThisIsNotMyHome
      @ThisIsNotMyHome 3 месяца назад

      If your stools are light, you definitely are having bile issues since that's what gives the stool its brown color. I'd download his free book and course he offers in description to find out how you need to handle your issues specifically. But I think low carb is fine if you add extra minerals to your daily diet and use Celtic sea salt.. but you may do better with doing low carb instead of keto. Where you eat more veggies to up your carb intake. People don't get fat eating nonstarchy veggies. They just have a problem with too much water and minerals being flushed out from increase of protein and not having enough carbs to retain the water balance. Extra mineralization is a must. And some people still can lose too many minerals with that, so then you need to bump up the natural carbs with the mineralization to counteract it. It's better to lose slower and be healthy. But I think once our digestive issues are back in balance, the weight loss (if needed) will pick its pace up.

    My breath rate is 7 or 8 during the day, yikes. BP usually 109/70, pulse 85. History of panic attacks. I eat a carb heavy diet already about 50% calories as carbs. Am I creating lactic acid instead of CO2? Also is ascorbic acid alkalizing or acidifying? I usually take about 3 grams a day.

    • @KickItNaturally
      @KickItNaturally  Год назад +2

      Hi, Would need to know more to know if you're creating too much lactic acid. But your pulse is leaning on the anabolic side and if you take that much ascorbic acid in a day, I assume you are probably constipated too when you don't take it. So that can be another anabolic marker. But ascorbic acid is acidifying to the intestinal tract, and sometimes the urine pH, but not the bloodstream so it won't affect breath rate. But yeah, you would want to get that breath rate up for sure. That could help a lot of things. If you're not already, be sure to go through our free digestion course to learn more about if you're leaning too anabolic or not, and how to correct the alkaline imbalance. If you have trouble getting your breath rate up with the tools in that course, you might need to work with me or one of our coaches so you can access more advanced supplements to correct that that are only availble through a coach.

    I am doing kind of a mixture of low carb and keto, this is because I feel what my body can't handle, and I have problems digesting carbs and most types of fats.
    I can eat half of an avocado, extra virgin olive oil (organic) and now I can eat a bitt more coconut oil. A while I could only eat the olive oil (of fats). After watching your videos I now know my bile is to thick, so I am waiting on the beet flow that I ordered.
    I also have som test results from last year saying my bile value is 4.30, thats seems to be very low. I can't wait to fix that problem, I have had problems with my digestion for over 13 years now
    My stomach acid is normal, so at least I can eat meat. But that can lead to ulcers right? If I have the stomach acid but not the bile flow?
    at least I will be working on my bile flow soon.

      Sounds like improving bile flow will help you a lot. Just know that if it's bad enough that a keto diet is causing trouble, you may need to take some of the more aggressive steps we talk about here: ruclips.net/video/4H6ZTLf6sYU/видео.html

      @@KickItNaturally Thank you so much for your quick answer and for your great videos.
      I will try it all. I ordered the coffee suppository and some choline also, so I think I will be sett when it all comes in the mail.
      seemes like my breath rate is at least 13, so Im just gonna try a little bit choline.

    • @KickItNaturally

      What's great about that is a person can just monitor their breath rate and if it starts to go too low they will know what adjustments to make with the choline.

    My blood pressure usually runs low 90 over 60 or something close to it. In the past I went to doctors complaining of dizziness and I explained that I thought my bp was too low and they always tell me my bp is good 🤦‍♀️

    I loved keto and would still be on it, but no one could figure out why my numbers were so high. Forget days and weeks to get into keto - I can be in ketosis in a day. I never have keto flu. But after a week into the diet I'm always getting near ketoacidosis and have to cram carbs or end up in the ER. Every time I try it, and no matter which guru I follow. Anyone else like me that I can't do keto? Have you been able to figure it out? I tried asking my doctor but all she knew to do was run a few tests and tell me I'm not diabetic nor prediabetic. She referred me to the nutritionalist on staff who shrugged and just said some people can't be on it. Well that tells me nothing, thanks. :(

      I am exactly the same. ER visit. EXTREME heart palpitations. Extreme fatigue. Also extreme body pain. I tried adding More magnesium, more potassium more sodium…didn’t help. I have given up on Keto, I tried and tried. But when I eat any Carbs I gain like a mad man and am bloated and yucky. Tried HCL when I ate high fat, burned my stomach and intestinal tract. Argh…eating should not be so complicated.

    You should ease into keto to lower the flu effect some people have been using glucose for too long. If your goal is to lose weight just know every time you change your diet it lowers the metabolism rate for me personally i wouldn't mind it.

    I have chronic pancreatitis due to repeat undiagnosed acute attacks that happened since my childhood (thanks a lot doc!) However, I am trying to find how I can eat a high(er) fat / Keto diet because low fat made me sick sick sick.
    I have watched videos about bile / HCL and the importance of bike and bile is not created without fat. So I am just at a loss as to what to do. Western med tells me eat 15g a fat/day and to remove my gallbladder (not the problem).

    The problem with keto is that people jump into it quickly with zero research. Otherwise they would know to transition into it slowly and take electrolyte salts (magnesium, potassium and sodium, and maybe even some calcium). i spent two years transitioning slowly reducing sugars. But I am in my 70s so younger people can probably do this a lot faster. Just don't rush it.
