    I’ll say it. Sounds like this is better than Big Screen Beyond. I’m waiting on my BSB to be returned with some IPD adjustments right now. Custom IPD would have prevented that from being necessary. This device looks very small as well, count me as excited to see where this goes. MicroOLED is amazing and absolutely where VR needs to go.

      I have mine, only problem was gasket too thin by one mm so they are sending a new. But glare for me is ok, once you are playing you forget about it. Colors and clarity are amazing. Wish bigscreen went this route being slighly bigger and no customization needed. However bsb works right away no thinkering needed. Very happy with it.

      maybe, I mean you are gonna be paying $400 more for this one so I'd hope it has better displays. That said, the problem posed in this video was comfort, which even when improved probably wont reach the height of comfort that the BSB has when calibrated correctly.

      I love my Beyond despite it's flaws. Whenever I just play actual VR games I've been having incredible moments that I haven't experienced since the OG Vive.
      Would I love better edge to edge clarity and less glare? Of course! But I'm loving the Beyond because it's here right now. From these guys track record with VR headsets, this could be years away.

    This is super interesting, if they get a price a bit below the bigscreen beyond then I think it will be a huge success, although their original headset was like 1800 if I recall correctly. Really innovative company, I love to see them sticking with it.
    Really though, over 100 FOV, tiny size, good edge to edge, 120hz.... this is amazing. This is better than the beyond it seems. I know the custom facial interface and smaller size of the beyond is better, but I think I would go for the benefits of this. It really just comes down to price now. If they manage to make it like 999 (highly unlikely unfortunately) then it's an instant buy for me.

      @tosvus 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@highpraise-highcritic BSB does have Lighthouse tracking, but I'd rather pay a bit more and have a more versatile solution, plus the bigger screen makes the lenses less critical it seems, so for me, this is super interesting. Bigger FOV, less artifacts from lenses, possible to adjust for multiple people, and hopefully lots of options for headstrap and facial interface. The Quest 3 headstrap compatibility suggestion is very good....

      there's no way they can price lower than beyond. the margin on the beyond is super tight and most of the cost is the displays. The superlight adds diopter, and motorized ipd. both of which are quite the expense.

    @Pete-1261 8 месяцев назад +7

    Yes, it definately needs to be available in Europe. What I like in comparison to the Beyond, is that it can be used by many people with it´s universal face gasket. The Beyond is made to fit for one person only which may make it more comfortable, but here you can also show it to your friends when they come over. That´s much better in my opinion. Also, it makes ordering one easier - no face scanning needed. Also the IPD needs no motor - a slider will do. A motor only adds expense to the headset...

    It's definitely exciting to see that small form factor but with a focus on adjustability with normal face gasket, IPD, and even diopter adjustments.
    It's just too bad it completely lacks audio.
    I also wonder what the FOV could be. Above 100 degrees doesn't sound very large, but we'll see. I'd certainly get it as close to my eyes as possible.
    I would really be interested in this if there was a Valve quality off-ear audio head strap available for it.
    One note others have made is the needless motorization of the IPD adjustment. I do agree that I would rather have the standard manual adjustment.

    As a passionate Quest user who has tried other headsets such as Oculus Rift, PS VR and Valve index, inside out tracking is an absolutely mandatory thing for me. The meganex Superlight seams to be really nice except of that need for steam vr base stations. I guess a lot of guys missed that detail in the video. In my humble opinion, base stations are the exact opposite to seamless, effortless jumping into VR. If I have to choose between weraring 500g on my face and wireless connect to a PC OR wearing only 200g and have to install base stations and connect to a cable I'll definitely go for 500g. Anyhow different people have different needs. Thanks for the nice video.

      @@RabbitConfirmed One thing we're casually overlooking though, is comfort.
      This definitely hasn't passed the comfort test just yet, quite the opposite, and one of the biggest selling points for BSB is that it's by far the most comfortable headset on the market. And that's incredibly important.
      If they can sort the fit/comfort out though, then yeah, I'd want this...
      I'll enjoy the BSB for now and we'll see where things are with this headset and possibly others by the end of the year.

      @@RabbitConfirmed I don't have my BSB yet, it's still on order but should be here within about a month or so.
      Atm I have a Samsung Odyssey+. Probably the best OLED headset available before these micro-oled headsets have started coming out.
      I can't personally recommend the BSB since I haven't tried it yet, and there are other headsets like this one coming out later this year that could very well be a much better option, like this one.
      Until these other headsets launch late 2024, no doubt BSB is the best we have right now.

    I thought I heard that the display port had been removed? Not sure if I heard that correctly. Too bad as I would use it for PCVR and display port is pretty nice.

    In this video, the speaker interviews TK, the CEO of Sharp, about the new MEGANEX Super Light headset. The headset is designed to be lightweight, with a weight of only 200 grams. It features a 5.2K HDR OLED micro panel, with a resolution of 2560x2560. The headset also has diopter adjustment and motorized IPD adjustment. The panel is made of plastic instead of glass, and the headset has built-in Lighthouse tracking. The headset is expected to be priced under $1700. The speaker also mentions that the headset is still a prototype and there may be changes in the final design.

    This headset but with a headstrap similar to the original Vive deluxe audio strap, or the Bigscreen beyond additional audio strap.
    Then all it would need to do is have wireless such as WiGig and this would not only be my next headset... it would replace all the headsets that I currently have.
    These would make it something I could recommend to friends and colleagues (that are currently in the SteamVR ecosystem.)
    The WiGig seems a bit like a pipe-dream (although it shouldn't be, as I already have it on a headset) but this headset with the 'deluxe audio strap' and I would definitely buy it when it becomes available in the US.

We need to put the headset and forget it with the time not being reminded by the tireness while the time passing... SO BRAVO PICO 4 and good try bigscreen beyond, AND BRAVISSIMO Meganex !

    bigscreen beyone was the first to make a sleek lightweight headset that reminded me of how compact they look in sci fi media like Cyberpunk and Ready Player One, and idk if this one is better or as light but I think looks-wise it pretty much goes all the way into the sci-fi cyberpunk territory. that is, assuming they improve that nose thing so the display faces more forwar and isnt leaning down like in the video.
