My grandad was there at that time till July 2001 his crane was dicks rig and my dad is still there since July 1979
Cool video.
Fantastic video 👍🎥👌greetings for lads from shed, wheel shop, and fcr 👍great job🎥🚅
I remember Telerail made a video for the Loco Hauled series with the Irish Rail 201's
A terrible shame that 10 of these (201-205 and 210-214) went into storage in 2009 because they weren't push/pull capable for the Mk4 and Enterprise. They're being cannibalised for parts for the operational ones.
Driver John Dowling who later became DTE and is now retired. Was up there in 1994 when training on them and we took out a brand new 203.
We had a great time during our time a Inchicore. Your all a friendly bunch.
Class
The EM2000 just like on the 66's.
Did they have to run every new 201 on pre service runs?
Yes.... there was another crew from GMD that arrived after we left to continue.
Redline at 900rpm interestingly enough.
