It kinda shows Menendez’s twisted idea of “Loyalty” in comparison to Alex Mason. Mason shows loyalty by putting his life at risk (and also selling his body to the government by rejoining the Military) to save his friend Woods. Menendez’s idea of “Loyalty” is “Kill yourself to save me so I can make put on a performance for this random American who I plan to kill myself in a few seconds anyways.”
Couple things to take away from here: Raul is 23 and he’s more accomplished than me and I’m 23. Second he is literally talking to krevchenko here and calls him a fucking pawn. A WW2 Russian vet and secondary antagonist from black ops 1. Who is also probably twice his age. And he mentions the Afghans who betray you in the later level. So much to pick up on in so little time. They really don’t make a story like this anymore.

slicer940 Kravchenko had to be at least 70 by 1986. He was already an officer by the end of WWII in BO1.
Also by 1986 Mason would be 53, Woods 56. I always find that hilarious and unrealistic. No field agent would be THAT old.
