I was going to go with OnePlus Nord N30 5G but that was released just yesterday, and I do not like waiting. Turns out I like my choice because of Samsungs software updates of 4 major OS, and 5 years of patches. Waterdrop notch doesn't bother me at all.
The A34 is better on battery and performance than A54,The Mediatek 1080 is better optimised than the Exynos variant and the teardrop doesnt bother me in the slightest👍👍🔥🔥

The teardrop is very controversial for me the teardrop is old they have had that design for years the hole punch is more modern and looks clean in my opinion.
Imagine if it came with a hole punch display, headphone jack and a dual camera setup with the main camera being imx 766 with ois and a 12mp ultrawide camera. This would be the bestselling samsung ever!
I find it interesting that you weren't impressed with the speakers.. I find them to be outstanding! Full of bass and I can't believe the sound in general is actually coming from a phone! Perhaps this is because I've come from a Poco X4 Pro 5g.. but the sound is a big upgrade for me, including from the secondary speaker at the top.
yes, you can tell the difference if you came from entry or midrange device too. Then if you get the flagship you will blown more because of the speaker quality.
I would pick that A34 over the a54 - just because the Exynos chipset is so inefficient and drains battery on my A33. My preference would definitely be for the MediaTek Dimensity

I definetly prefer the A34 over the A54, it has a bigger screen while the A54's screen is a bit too small and yes you are right dimensity 1080 is better than exynos 1380 cause i have tried both of them out, galaxy a34 has better performance than a54. A34 is cheaper and better than A54 in more ways than one.
@@muaddib878 It's better to avoid exynos especially since there are many other phones using snapdragon and mediatek dimensity, someonenwho uses galaxy a33 told me it lags a lot when they play a game called honkai impact 3 even in medium settings.

Loving the Samsung A34 so far! The battery life is impressive, lasting me through the day with ease. Performance is smooth thanks to the Mediatek 1080, and the display is bright and clear. The teardrop notch is a non-issue for me, barely notice it during use. Definitely a solid mid-range budget killer 💕
That phones performs like my SNote 10+ if you compare the Antutu score, so basically it's like Flagship phone from 2018-2019. Btw mine has exynos chipset but still perform smoothly thanks to regular updates.

Got that for INR 14k after exchanging 3 years old redmi 9 pro max + 2k sbi card discount. They offered 14500 for my redmi phone for that particular period of time (before and after that has been around 5k). Honestly for that price this is world beater for me. lol Only little complain I've is charging time, it took me more than 2hrs to charge from 2% to 98% on my redmi 30W fast charger. Which is not acceptable in todays world. And little neat pick but UFSC 3.1 storage would've been good addition too, but that's not exactly a complaint.

Bought A34 5g by exchanging m31s....got it with android 14 and one ui 6.0... the performance is good...and major plus is mediatek Dimesity 1080 processor... bought little late an year after launch..but completely satisfied...❤
The best smartphone a34 in this budget range. I am using 8gb ram 256 gb version. Smooth working, no hang on. Phone doesn't heat issues. Speakers are loud. Display is superb as always provided by samsung. I am using since one and half year and happy user.
Software, IP rating and just overall reliability is what makes this good, I wouldn't really recommend to tech enthusiasts but for everyday users like parents this is excellent
Ip rating not that important as all the phone in this range is splash proof and processor is weaker, water drop notch, camera sensor also average so in low light photo was that that good
what? what charm the new a34/a54 series is a throwback to the a3/a5/a7 2017 lineup. which focused more on those “flagship features” more than specs, honestly saying a lineup is bad because the specs peaked in a52s/a73 is just a bad reasoning to hate the new a series well unless they decided to pretend the a54 didn’t existed and release an a54s with sd7g2, who knows, samsung’s still quite unpredictable in terms of releases anyways

Well i mean, you get a flagship feel as a tradeoff i guess?? The a54 definitely has a premium feel and isn't slow, the performance is also similar to snapdragon 7 gen 1 in 3dMark, its just that since Mali gpus are closed sourced, like mediatek, games haven't optimized it well. And to double down my point, the phone has equal sounding stereo, x-axis haptics making it much better than the predecessors, also in general more sturdy, a much better screen with hdr 10+, all that is making it definitely an upgrade over a52s for the casual user. Again the pricing is just off in most regions, a54 starts at 390 usd which is 110 usd cheaper than thr s21 fe. And then you have india where the s21 fe is cheaper than the a54.

Thank God. Finally they changed Chip set. I hv A33 5G which has exynos1280. Horrible heating issue is there in A33 5G. I sent them around 100+ emails stating it's has heating issue that I can keep my handpalm warm during winter. And it has ip67 to make it cool if we keep it in Water. Samsung consider heating issue only when if temperature goes 45°.they has no answer to my question. They changed mother board of A33 and they said for only their fun they changed motherboard. Actually they tried to pull heat down but they failed. But not ready to accept their fault. But thank god they changed chip set of Samsung A34 (my lil contribution is there😂).

I waited and WAITED to hear you talk about the waterdrop notch. It's so dated I forgot what they were even called. I believe this phone should have included a normal diminutive one, better speakers, and better charging for $450 USD. When on Sale it would rarely if ever dip below $399.

I'm eyeballing the future ONEPLUS NORD 3 which is going to be the same price but isn't going to cheap out that way. Also Apple people seem to not care about the obnoxious notch on their devices, and so it's kinda hard to judge who cares from who doesn't.
It's cheaper to make it like that , thats why you still see alot of phones releasing mid range phones with that notch. The a54 is more expensive because of that amongst other things .

Would be nice to mention, if your in USA and get the A34, you can get after registering the phone on members app, that you get 1 year international warranty from Samsung. The only thing is, it takes longer for repair because of shipping time. Otherwise, it is a deal even if you live in USA. I am currently using with US Mobile with T-Mobile, just fine. My first international phone, and I have no regrets with it so far.

Im using the a54 . The temp reaches 36.4 36.5 after 2 hours of youtube , social media etc no gaming without casing in my room . It runs smooth . Thats basic users stuffs . Now imagine youre outside its hot and u have used it for hours or gaming .

Yeah, same. She probably turned off Dolby or something. Dolby is terrible for earphones, but it's good for built in speakers.

The Exynos on my A33 is a pig... Battery life is pretty poor on this phone (otherwise the A33 is perfect for what it is)

Stabilization is there in the video. It's not there when you shoot in 4K. But when you record in 1080p, you can see that OIS is working perfectly fine

Im using the a54 . The temp reaches 36.4 36.5 after 2 hours of youtube , social media etc no gaming without casing in my room . It runs smooth . Thats basic users stuffs . Now imagine youre outside its hot and u have used it for hours or gaming .

The 6.6 inch display is an automatic no. That's way too big. The speakers are also a big problem for me as I don't like earphones
