I actually really liked Bretman’s house, every else’s is just shit, no personality and it feels like a prison. Bretman’s feels like a home.
Agreed, all these houses look like out of American Psycho, absolutely stripped of identity and containing no charesteristic value. Hawaiian one at least gives off a sense of life and homy-ness and a nice tropical view as a bonus.

@@thesouthcebucouple5703 Hawaii and Philippine shares some similarities. Most tropical countries shares similar housing design tbh. You would find similar kind of wood and carving kind of funitures like everywhere whether it's southeast asia, spain, mexico, hawaii, etc. Not saying that they all are the same, they sure have their own authenticity mostly because of cultural differences, but they all share similar kind of warmth.

Bretman's house is more home-like than the others. He designed it how he likes it to be unlike others who just wanted a bold white black aesthetic than a home like feeling.
At the very least bretman's house looks the most lived in, I'm Personally not a fan of how it looks, but you can tell he loves his space, and to be honest that's far more respectable than all of these soulless black and white houses.

It’s just a hispanic/philopino aesthetic. My house is like this. We paint our walls in different colorful colors. We like brown wood furniture and paintings and plants and colorful curtains, and birds and shit. Like maybe if ur white it reminds u of how ur grandparents have their house but we never really jumped on the minimalistic trend

i guess it's because youtubers usually move a lot. So if they know they will move out in some time, there is no reason to put money into decorating or changing anything
Because when you have a big house (large space), it would become very difficult to design, and all your decorations are basically dust collector. It will takes a lot of time to clean and maintain. You can hire cleaners but it just feel weird having them coming to your house every few days

The neon lights are kinda corny, but overall its the best house. It actually looks lived in and fun, while everyone else's houses are white, sterile and horrifyingly bland.
Scandinavian/modern contemporary design that most of these RUclipsrs and Pewds leans to is the polar opposite of Bretman’s Modern tropical interior. Also you also have to take into account Bretman’s Filipino culture that don’t like empty spaces (horror vacui), so you see a lot of small elements/decors to fill in large spaces. That is also why Bretman’s house looks more comfortable/homey vs the museum looking houses of the other YTs.
Bretman’s house is my favorite. It’s feels the coziest and I just love that it’s not basic black and white or all white like others. It’s very much hawaii but more extra and I love it

Can you explain why its insane? Garbage disposal, roads, recycling bins, fire departments, sidewalks, parks, sewage, cleaning, planting, etc. all require money to create and maintain. Unless taxes are hiked up more, they might be needed - but hey I don't know much about this.
@@chiaseedpudding3463 lol in the U.K we have council tax which funds stuff like that but its nowhere near $47k a year. For the equivalent of a $4million home in a nice part of London like Hampstead in Camden you pay for a whole year £3.5k (and thats a band H which is the highest).

I grew up in a very small home with my parents and two sisters. I shared a room with one sister until the other one graduated and went off to university (jr. High when i finally got my own room). It was so small but it was the best neighborhood where we would spend most of our time outdoors with friends (the neighborhood kids would always come over and we would play kickball, ghost in the graveyard etc). I am so thankful for my parents simplicity (it wasnt like they were broke .... but they invested into our futures rather than into impressing others). I feel sad for a lot of children today.
