Ken talking about recording while sitting on the floor is so relatable. I work from home for a call center and my work space is a coffee table and I sit on the floor on a spare toddler size mattress. It has caused so many back and leg issues from sitting criss cross on the ground for 8.5 hours a DAY. Finally this week my garage is becoming my office and after 5 months with this job I will be able to sit in a chair and have a desk! I am so excited.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Most spaces (I can't even call them rooms) didn't even have doors. It's one giant open space and I bet the echo would be crazy. It indeed just looks like a messy mishmash of a hotel/lobby/nightclub/lobby/flex/lobby and very, very much something you wouldn't want to live in.
Just look at the outdoor kitchen. HUGE. Enough room for 12chefs that could cook for 500people but I did not see any space like walk in freezers to actually store the produce. Instead they have to keep the things in the drawers/coolers in the kitchen itself and make sure to use all product every day lest let it rot.

I don't know if this has been said before; wine cellars for wealthy people are used as a physical display of wealth. They buy rare and expensive bottles to store at the perfect temperature and untouched for years and years and years so that the bottles increase in quality and worth (this is also the reason why they are typicaly stored very high up, becuase for a very long time they are used as a display piece). It is still ridiculous and unreasonably expensive, but the rooms that are dedicated to this do have a practical use, especially for those who enjoy fine wine (which is common among the 1%).
In my family growing up we enjoyed wine a lot, but couldn't afford a temperature controlled and dedicated wine room. So bottles were stored on top of the cupboard. My parents still have some bottles from the early 2000s (in 2022), which is obviously no comparison to the aged and expensive wines these wealthy people would have, but I say this as an example of the practical use.
