I passed first time yesterday in Lichfield, these videos have been a massive help in familiarising myself with the routes and the general expectations on the test! Thank you very much Paul!
Best instructor on the planet. Loveliest guy out there and his teaching skills are insanely good. Been learning with him for a long time now and feel more than ready to do my test! Always have a laugh and learn at the same time. Also has good taste in music 😁. Strongly advise you give Paul a contact if you need lessons. (its jay btw paul 😀)
That has to be the nicest compliment I've ever received!! Thanks very much Jay 😀
These videos of your are amazing! Keep them coming for Lichfield and Burton
You're very welcome! I'll try to add more very soon.
6:30 at the start of this road you’re asked to pull of to a safe location. I made the mistake of pulling up at the start parking opposite the dentist. But at this time stamp where the van is, in those parking bays are we allowed to park there?
Absolutely.
Hi!
At 2:35 when you are following the road to Tamworth, do you need to signal right since you're crossing that line or not?
I personally would not. The sat nav / examiner would say 'follow the road ahead towards Tamworth.' Would you use a right signal to follow the road ahead?
I wouldn't. But I failed the exam for 'turning right' few days ago
The sat nav told me:"At the next roundabout, go across the roundabout 1st exit"
I positioned myself on the left lane and when I got to the roundabout the first exit was very sharp left and i went straight ahead instead, cus I had 20 mph and didn't feel safe
I explained it to the examiner and he said: "a bit of a mistake by the sat nav, isn't it?"
When I got back go the test centre i had 3 minors and 1 serious: turning right: junctions
That satnav is so incredibly stupid that it makes at least 5 mistakes on every route and it's still a standard in uk driving test
Been frustrated ever since
@ioneltudor4323 the left lane is left only. The road markings are clearly laid out. If other vehicles are in front of you, then the examiner would normally tell you to use the RH lane on the approach. What you did was a serious fault. If you are ever in the situation again, I'd turn left as it is the only safe option left. Does this make sense?
Sat navs are not reliable; especially regarding speed. Best of luck for your next attempt. I'm sure success is bound to come!
Do you need to indicate right when pulling across for Tamworth lane?
No. You are asked to follow the road ahead, towards Tamworth. Sometimes, you are advised to use the RH lane. There is no need for a right signal to follow the road ahead. There is no need for a left signal either because once in the designated 'Tamworth' Lane, there is no other exit you could escape to. Does this make sense? 😉
@@RioDrivingSchool I never thought of that before. I thought that when changing direction you would need to signal right
Or perhaps better to just check mirrors as you are changing direction . WORLD it ne a serios Errol fi YOU din indicate?
@@MultiSuperfluous no. 😆 Trust me. I've taught this way to hundreds of people. 🙏
Sooooo useful
Thank you! More coming very soon 😊
Eye contact is critical
