But he only gave her his screwdriver because he saw her have his screwdriver. He installed a person-saving device because he saw it have a person-saving device... ...WHO REALLY COMPOSED BEETHOVEN'S FIFTH?!
Imagine you're immortal. And young, very clever, very arrogant...and one day you meet someone who is just like you. Someone you think you will have for an eternity. So when eternity ends, it hurts you so much that you swear never to love that way again. For hundreds of years, as you travel the stars, you keep that vow. You change, several times and people come and go. You love them all in all different ways, but never like that one particular time. Until you find yourself so alone in the universe, so bereft by the result of war, that when one human's faith in you shines so clear, you wonder if it's time, to break that vow. But you can never bring yourself to admit to hear, or yourself, how you feel. Because you are afraid of her mortality. And losing her. It hurts, when she has to leave. Then not long after, there's someone who knows everything about you. And she whispers something that terrifies you. Because in a single moment, you realise this woman will one day mean so much to you, that you will break your vow and fall in love so completely and open yourself to your vulnerability. What could be more terrifying? Seeing that same woman sacrifice herself for you. Knowing one day this loss is going to hurt in the worst way possible. More than it does now. So much so that you spend literal lifetimes trying to make every moment count. To be with her. And to save her."
@aRandomPersonOfTheInternet it came about when writing fanfiction and listening to this. It has always been... intense, to write. There are also versions that include the Doctor’s feelings for Yaz. I initially wrote this as someone speaking to Yaz, I think back when we didn’t know how she'd leave.
There's something about the way the backing strings seem to pulsate in this mix and the occasional "glitching out" sort of wispy sounds (if you get what I mean) that takes this piece higher. Awesome work.
Yeah, it is "badly" put together (I put quotes because given how tough it is to remove voices and other things from instrumentals to get a clean instrumental, this is actually an alright sounding mix). Maybe I just have either bad hearing or bad headphones, but it doesn't hurt my ears at all.
This is awesome! Probably some of my favourite music of all time tbh, I've always loved this arrangement and can't believe how clean this version sounds! Nice work!
I honestly really miss when the Tenth doctor was a stranger to everyone and not to mention the viewers, Don't get me wrong I of course enjoy and love 14 and 15th, But this Doctor was such.. a stranger and this theme fits just that. His power in his voice and the way he suddenly appeared made it seem like an Ancient warrior came out of nowhere to save Earth. Now, with the next Doctors that we had. (11, 13, 14, 15,) (12 had a bit of that energy back) They don't have that essence of Nostalgia and power that was the Tenth Doctor's era. Everytime the Doctor was talked about when he wasn't present on screen this theme always played and it just gives me such hope and such hype for his Doctor. Rant over!
The piano, percussion and vocal elements I extracted as isolated elements from the episodes score but because the full track wasn't completely clean I had to piece together the rest. I used The Doctor's Theme from the series 4 soundtrack and removed the vocals from it for the main chunk of the track. For the sort "ambient" strings sound throughout the start of this track, I extracted it from The Stolen Earth just after The Doctor is shot by the Dalek.
"Why did I give her my screwdriver. Think-a-think, think. Because future me had all those years to think about it"
But he only gave her his screwdriver because he saw her have his screwdriver. He installed a person-saving device because he saw it have a person-saving device...

@@alextrill1746 I guess this was something the doctor could have guessed since he knew how the library worked
Her one last run with The Doctor 😢
And his first
It never fails to amaze me how a T.V show has such an amazing quality of soundtrack
When you run with the doctor...
It feels like it will never end
But however hard you try, you can't run forever.
Everybody knows that everybody dies, and nobody knows it like the Doctor.
@@vincenth492 but I think the sky's might just turn dark if he ever, for one second, excepts it.
Everybody knows that everybody dies. But not everyday. Not today.
"Everybody knows that everybody dies. But not _every_ day. Not _today_ ."
"Oh, look at that! I'M VERY GOOD!"
"What have you done?"
"Saved her!"
This scene always makes me cry. Love the music
This is PHENOMINAL i always loved this version of the theme!

This is the best description of a Doctor Who story arc I’ve ever read 😢

It does that because it was badly put together. It actually starts to hurt when using headphones.

Donna, this book contains pages upon pages of my future
I could look you up...
Thing is though, if they did look Donna up they still wouldn't know her true ending as River never got to see it. 12 was the last Doctor she met
No, you got it wrong, 10 was the last doctor she met, 12 was the first doctor she met
This is amazing! You have found a way to further expand the profundity and depth of Murray Gold’s mastery.
0:53 love that
I love this! Murray Gold's music is the best!
I’m so glad he’s back!
An earlier "Never tell me the rules" moment before the real one!
POV: You're on 1% but your charger is on the other side of the house
3:00 reminds me of The Good Man theme!
Technically, the Good Man theme should remind you of this, as this came out first :) But, i do see what you mean. Nice catch!
And it was 12 she last met like poetry
I just wanted to say how excited I am that murray gold is returning to doctor who! ❤️😊

Literally have been looking for this for years!!!
I couldn't find this anywhere - especially as clean sounding as this! Fav track 😅
if you mix with the normal soundtrack if you unpause this at 2:14 at the right time you might make it more cooler
I was listening to another rip of this earlier, thanks a lot!
Very good congrats!

Amazing , fantastic, brilliant, Beautiful music
I know a huge part of this in Matt Smiths never tell me the rules but I'd have to argue this is better. I love this track soooo much
Beautiful!
The score for this story was amazing. Especially this theme. It feels so etherial
This is awesome
Shall we peek at the end?
_Spoilers, right?_

Amazing
Come on, next chapter’s this way
Everybody knows that everybody dies...
Riddle me this what’s the tardis without a doctor? It’s a doctor.
Everybody knows that everybody dies. But not every day. Not today.
Saved her.
Thank you for this 😊 what tracks did you use to make this ?

@@Jackardy cleaaaaan! nice work
This is a recreation? It sounds damn near identical to the original!
Have you considered doing the variations of This is Gallifrey from series 10?
Ppl say I look alot like Tennant and I like it, I even act like him at times
Where can I download this?
2:37 poggres
Why dont the new Doctors have epic themes and music like this?
15ths theme is less epic and more bombastic, which fits the tone of the new series
The climaxxx
Is it just me or did some of the music in Lego dimensions sound like this a bit
To me this is The Doctor AND River's theme
It isn't, but that's okay.
Nah this is the 10th Doctors theme
@@MCLegend13 I'd even argue it's the best at representing The Doctor as a whole.
Have to say tge 10th doctors theme is the bet of them all , triumphant, epic , powerful!!! Wonderful piece of music
