God I miss the first RTD Era so much. Don't quite understand the logicstics of how RTD managed to make the show incredibly dark and gritty, but also incredibly warm and heartfelt at the same time. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us over the next year or so.
The more I rewatch the revival era, the more I realise that RTD had this way of making a show perfectly comprehensive for children without treating them like toddlers. Moffat had great episodes under RTD's run that fit the theme but once 11 came along, it was too fairy tale like then 12 was too dark, tho S10 found a good mix. but RTD did just nail it with the right overall theme for the show.
@@Multiversal_ProductionsI didn’t mind Capaldi, I thought he was breath of fresh air from Matt smith (never liked his era. Great actor but too fairy tale for me)
I've always thought this scene was so underrated. People talk about how loud and annoying Donna was in The Runaway Bride, but when I think of this episode, this is the first scene that comes to my mind. The moment that shows how Donna manages to cut right through the Doctor's defenses and see into his soul after he's been through such a painful loss. She sees how much he's hurting, and she sees how dazzling and wonderful he is, but also how ruthless and terrifying he can be. It's crazy that this episode was just meant to be a one-off, because this scene I think serves as the very foundation of their epic friendship and how important they would become to each other.
Yeah, we got lucky, because RTD was ready to pull Uno Reverse card for series 4 - instead of Donna and Doctor bff interaction, we might get Doctor that falls in love for Penny Carter (probably she would be played by different actress, not the one in Partners in Crime) when she is just seeking for adventure. Donna were supposed to appear in the series finale, like many other characters. I wonder how weird series 4 would like in this case
Staggering that the series that came out +15 years ago are still so alive for many, myself included, that unreleased soundtracks are still being made and uploaded. Thanks for uploading!
This theme is used in: 1. The Runaway Bride 2. Gridlock 3. The Lazarus Experiment 4. Last of the Time Lords 5. Time Crash 6. Partners in Crime 7. The Sontaran Stratagem 8. The Poison Sky 9. Journey's End 10. The End of Time Part 2 It's no wonder it's so memorable. My personal favourite use of it is when Donna returns home and reunites with her Grandad in the street. Suits the scene perfectly.
@@djedg10 They used the Save Someone (as titled on this channel) variation when saving the family but right at the end The Doctor Forever variation released on the Series 3 album was used I'm pretty sure.
@@DoctorVisionJourney's End is my favourite use of it, the Doctor in the street with the rain just after losing Donna is heartbreaking Also Martha's goodbye in Last of The Timelords, so memorable
Facts I also like how 9 and 10's themes are pretty much the same but 9's theme seems more sad with a tragic feel to it while 10's theme seems more dramatic and bombastic.
I'm hoping The 14th Doctor will encounter a manifestation of The Tenth Doctor (it will be a very strange encounter, I know) and have a "I'm ready to go" moment as you've described
Great to have another upload from you! Your work is appreciated. I have two suggestions for future uploads: 1. The Doomsday-Variant as Rose enters the TARDIS for the first time 2. The music leading up to the cliffhanger of Silence in the Library
I loved this theme in the ending of "The Lazarus Experiment". 0:39 is really sad because it's in the scene when The Doctor closes a dead Lazarus's Eyes! 🥺
It’s interesting how from the Runaway Bride onwards; Murray’s music became more orchestral & ‘warm’ if that makes sense? His earlier Series 1 & 2 stuff was a mixture but there was some more ‘tinny’ kinda music if that makes sense.
This is so good! It’s funny how many memorable unreleased tracks there are that one forgets about & only than remember again when you hear them again. Nice to see you back!
We all need to be more human to each others, If I'v anthynig learn from Doctor Who it is that we are all the same and shoud have more respect to each others.. Love you all
This is absolutely amazing! I love this theme and this version is so clear and beautiful! Thank you and really appreciate this, your videos have been missed! ❤️😊
I thought bringing Catherine Tate into Dr Who was a really bad idea, it would just be her trying to be shoe horn jokes in all the time. Turned out to be one of my favourite companions. She was funny, but acted with real emotion and passion. The end of the fires of Pompeii spring to mind.
That piece and Vale Decem itself is a variant of The Doctor's Theme which has been played for almost every NuWho Doctor so it's not tied to one specific incarnation
Oh, I dunno. As a sound designer, I think the dogs and wind add a certain alive-ness to the track that grounds it in reality. But yeah, its beautiful without too.

I swear I heard it somewhere in The Next Doctor, too.

"Her name was Rose"
Those crazy kids, they look so young back there X)
1:10 imagine this playing when 14 regenerates into 15 saying "I think I'm ready to go"
I always think it would have worked perfectly when Ten was saying goodbye in The Day of the Doctor.
@@DoctorVision Yes! Maybe somewhere around 0:40 would fit just that slight bit better, for a mix of sadness but triumphantness too.

The funny thing is that this is the BEST doctor who track ever and it's not even officially released!
Yay! I've missed your videos. Yet again another beautiful piece from Series 3 & 4 ❤️
So much nostalgia!
Fantastic job. Well done
Shame this was never released properly
The best versions of Doctor Who's soundtracks!
Man, you are the best!
Mate this track is beautiful
I think there was a variation or almost identical theme playing when the Doctor and Donna talk about being mates at the end of Partners in Crime
It's the same theme. It was used at least ten times between The Runaway Bride and The End of Time Part Two.

Amazing work as always, ive always loved this piece!
If possible, could you do the track when Micky, Jackie and Rose are ripping out the tardis heart
Hopefully you can do the scene where the doctor says goodbye to Sarah Jane Smith in school reunion
thats a great suggestion i really like that piece, a version plays in journeys end when he says goodbye to the companions
It’s a version of Song for ten

Yes. The Doctor Forever hadn't been invented yet in series 2.
Great edit and it’s so clean
Aahhhh......lets hope the next series of doctor who brings everything back to being actually doctor who.....

A great one to do would be the vashtanarada theme or some more of the masters theme from last of the timelords.
