There were no Save haven laws at the time. She put her children in the hands of people who could care for them, because for whatever reason she was not able to (have not watched the whole thing), and did not want to be linked to them."

The mom also lied to her face. However I've learned through people's traumatic stories that sometimes you need to forgive people, even bad ones, in order to pick up your soul and heal by moving forward. You don't want to stay in a kind of purgatory, you'll never get out of that miserable state. I can hear the little girl inside her,, she doesn't want to live like that. I heard the same from a guy who went to prison, a pretty normal guy. Before he left, he told himself he forgave the awful prison guards. He knew he'd be broken forever if he internalized the trauma. It would've afflicted him forever. That's self-care that not many people are capable of.

I was abandoned by my father and when you're missing that, especially as a child, you build it up into this big thing that you dream about reconciling. It's almost like a "You didn't love me enough to keep me then but I'll eventually earn that love and approval and it will make me feel like I'm worth loving."
I did reconcile with my father as an adult and all I learned is that he can disappoint me at close range too 🤷‍♀️

I get why the first child forgave so easily... she knew that lady still took her to a hospital to be saved even if she didn’t want her. But the other 2 idk how the second daughter forgave so easy and the son obviously like “it is what it is, nice meeting you” he’s been tapped out those motherly emotions

Yes, ma’am, she sure is! I hope she daily and sincerely appreciates such a blessing to have not one, not two, but ALL three of the kids she abandoned be willing to immediately offer her forgiveness. Based on this kind of mature, considerate, loving, completely nonjudgmental behavior, I’d say it appears to me that all their adoptive families did a damn fine job bringing them up to love their fellow man, regardless of their identity or actions, AND I hope their birth mother is thankful for that as well.

whenever i bumped into this kind of story it always sends me in a sad mode..
my mother left me with my step father whom at that time i had a difficult time to be attached..
my mother kept telling me my step father will stop caring of me if she leaves that made me anxious through the years maybe thats why i was too distanced with my step dad at that time..
when my mother left me and abandoned us, it shattered everything.. it was the most darkest moment of my life that even breathing was almost unrecognizable..
after 2 and half decades im still with my step dad who gave me a love that any adopted child could ever wished for..
the anger inside me for my mother was gradually vanishing through the years..
i tried my best to understand why she did that for i had no clues for me to accept it..
maybe she din't love my father that much that she wanted a life that even me as her son and my father wouldn't satisfy her..
at this moment my anger was already gone, she wanted a happy life or anything that non of us could give her and i hope my mother is happy now and finally got what she really wanted.. i already forgive the situation that put my family on that painful ordeal.

On the other end, you have women having babies and not notifying the father or not knowing who the father is. Accountability works both ways.

I knew it from the beginning of the story when she met her "angel" at the door and she was so emotional and they were sitting next to each other. I was like, " dang, they look an awful lot alike, wonder if she's the mother!?" And sure enough she was! I don't know why I knew, but the 1st lady said she knew she was her mom too. It's funny that they do all look so much alike. Well, I'm glad they don't hate their mom and that they're trying to rebuild their lives. Also mom is lucky because I don't know how long the statute of limitations is on abandoned children cases, but I know where I'm at in Indianapolis IN even if they find one in those safe drop off points at fire stations and stuff they seem to hint these momma's down like dogs. So they usually end up found and some of them aren't in the end allowed to stay anonymous like they wanted to in the 1st place because the media gets a hold of the story and plasters their face and name all over hell and half of Jericho for all the world to know her business, but at the very least she made sure her kiddos didn't die, and we're given a chance to live. That's much better than like the girl in Texas who threw her babe in a dumpster and tossed her in like common garbage to hopefully die. So I guess she was an angel of mercy in the end. She made sure they survived and that the right authority had her kids. So I hope not all works out for all 4 of them! Good luck y'all. Love and prayers even though this story is old, it was still a good one!
