My adopted parents didn't want me to know BUT i found out and especially my mom did NOT want to talk about it. I had a dna test. Said i was 100% European. Every avenue i pursued cost more than i could pay. At 63 i wonder IF any of the million questions i have will be answered.

    Why would they look for parents that don't want ti be found? You're here, thank God and move on.

    • @Jamezevans123
      @Jamezevans123 16 часов назад

      “Move on” don’t be so ignorant. It’s a completely valid and natural desire for an adoptee (like me) to want to know where they came from, it’s a basic human right. And specifically for a foundling, they have no clue or traces as to where they came from, because think about it, they were found abandoned as a baby, the only people who know the truth of where the baby came from is the birth mother and sometimes the birth father as well. So foundlings grow up knowing absolutely zero about the fundamental aspects of their identity (parentage, heritage, origins) that the majority of people in the world have always known and is just a normal part of their lives, so if you’re not adopted you don’t have the right to tell us to move on. For foundlings, more often than not, the reason as to why their birth mothers left them isn’t because they didn’t want them, it’s because they were in extremely dangerous and unstable circumstances.

    • @KNByam
      @KNByam 6 лет назад +22

      Well there is a need to find out where you came from in order to move forward with your life but at the same time if someone abandon you, you want to know why for closure. But your question is a valid one which I agree with. Its an individual thing in the end, you and I would move on with our lives but others want to know.

    • @jamesmcdonnell2455
      @jamesmcdonnell2455 6 лет назад +5

      bigbullbk maybe it's a little different since I was only abandoned by 1 parent, but I've never desired to know my father, even when he tried to get in touch with me once he no longer needed to worry about child support. It seems like a worthless endeavor.

      James McDonnell I’m adopted. My mother died while giving birth to me. I was premature and she had complications and did not survive. My father could not take care of me , extremely poor. He asked that I be adopted to s family that could give me a better life. I feel no hatred for this man. He wanted the best for me. I was very lucky to be giving a chance for a better live. Never judge , we all carry our cross in life . Also thank God for this man, my mother lost three babies. So God had a plan for us all. ❤️🙏

    • @jamesmcdonnell2455
      @jamesmcdonnell2455 6 лет назад

      Benita Steffan they must not have done a very good job if you don't understand that everyone judges everything and there's nothing wrong with that. And really maybe he should have stopped impregnating your mom if he couldn't afford the child, I mean seriously they tried 3 times before you? Or is the one who lost 3 your adoptive mom?
      Besides all that, I'm not saying to hate anyone. I was raised by a single teen mom (clearly not a very wealthy upbringing but I must admit my grandmother helped a lot, and she does have money she earned by working 50+ hours most weeks, 6 days a week, and most holidays) yet I don't hate my bitch ass father for running off before I was born. It's more of a negative indifference.
      And you still have not presented any reason to care about your real parents. Sure it's nice to know your mom didn't willingly give you up and that your dad had the "best intentions" but your life would be no different never knowing that.
