@KingofGrace It's both. Plus, you should know who you're related to so you don't date or marry them. Imagine being in a relationship with your bio brother. 🤮
Thank YOU~ I couldn't agree more! I feel so bad for the daughter that her adoptive mother made her feel "less than" bc her birth mother gave her away, instead of throwing her into a dumpster like so many thousands of newborns are every year. She could've helped her feel special & treasured, but chose to make it a negative. This a very tragic.
Or, she could have used birth control like somebody who is not an idiot. Luckily, the daughter was adopted. But what if she had just been in foster care, or had died from exposure?
Her Mother chose abandonment for her. You don't bring a child into this world only to abandon them. That child could have died or fallen into the wrong hands...even an animal could have harmed the child.
@@ABreakWithDawn actually her biological parents saved her. Her birth mom took care of herself (even though she hid the pregnancy) in order to have a healthy baby. Plus her parents left her someone safe knowing that newborns are a hot commodity for adaption. I’m sure they were meticulous about the place they chose.
I went through HELL to find my birth mother..then HELL after finding her, she did not even like me or want me as an adult..but then, I realized how much my adoptive mom is my REAL MOM..this lady in the video, her adoptive mom is her REAL mom..
This is how I fear it will be with my kid's dad. He left when they were babies, never cared for them, threatened us if I ever went after him for child support.. lived near poverty as a single mom to 2 kids and no financial help. My son always asks about his dad. I told him that he's mean and will probably never agree to have a relationship with him. I know in my heart, he'll just break my kid's hearts all over again. I understand their desire to know their dad, I would too if I were them. Just wish they could forget about his existence so he can't hurt us all over again.
I'm glad she found them. I had two miscarriages in my 30's. My husband and I eventually divorced. Now heading into my 70's single and childless, I cry not having had a chance to meet my children. I wish the very best to this young woman and her son.
He has nothing to lose! Her parents are thinking about themselves and how it will look in the eyes of the public and their families. Their shame is great!!
@@jenniferjemison636 or they just figured that they gave her to some nice people and they don’t understand why they got hunted down. They probably want to keep the past in the past.
Yes we are very excited to meet our grand niece (Aniya) and great grand nephew ( Zion). We are planning to fly her to St.Louis 2024 . As you stated when I had a chance to speak with Anita's mother she was terrified of being arrested, I did explain to her that all would be OK as I also thought the statues of limitations was exhausted but that didn't ease her fears.
I found my father in 2008 when I was 56 years old and he was 75. He died in 2013. It meant everything to me to get to know him and develop a relationship with him. We had almost five years before his passing in 2013. I actually wrote a book about growing up without him and the path to finding him.
@Starr Kelsey An internet search that I paid for and executed myself. The search rendered his address, phone number, and an aerial view of the home he was living in, which was kind of scary. I opted to write to him and he actually called me when he received my letter.
The last thing she said about being ready for the real emotions- is so true. I'm adopted. Ive always known im adopted. I fantasized about my birth mother through out my childhood. I always knew I would look for her 1 day, and was so nervous, and happy and anxious when the day finally came. It was a good meeting, but I never imagined the guilt I would feel.....This woman I had searched for in my dreams, and as an adult spent 8 months trying to find- and when I met her and heard her story. She was 17 when she had me. Her very Catholic parents sent her away to hide her pregnancy. She lived with nuns till she had me. She didn't want to give me up. but she had no support. When she came home, no one talked about me. She had to grieve in silence, it broke my heart....but I felt so guilty- she went through so much....but I felt guilty, because I love my mother who raised me so much, and I don't think i could love my birth mother the same way or even close. It still weighs on me 10 years after finding her....be prepared for anything when you find your birth family~
You will understand her love for you..and be able to share in that love..with her..without fear of diminishing or taking away from the love of your adoptive mom..However, you will only be able to come to a peace with loving your birth mom in another place and time. It might not happen while you are here on this earth..but it WILL happen....only this will occur for you both.. on the other side of the veil..All primal wounds will be made whole there..In Heaven. No love is divided there..only multiplied.
One thing good about love is that it's never depleted, you never run out.. You don't need to categorize the kind of love for your birth mother.. Just love her as a human being that you came out of. Love freely and it will find the place that it belongs.
I grew up in foster care from age 13 up to college. My story had a happy ending. My mom got herself better and I found my dad in my 30's. I held on to hope for my family to be restored and it happened 🙏 If you have a void in your heart from childhood I pray for your strength and encouragement to keep moving and live your life with purpose.
I'm adopted and I am more grateful for my adoptive family more than questions for my birth parents honestly. But I do understand her desire for information.
@@ayedashhI’m so sorry they weren’t accepting of you. I’m super happy for you that at least you have that amazing mama that you have. I'm from Jacksonville. This is my first time hearing of this story. I'm glad she found her relatives. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Also happy to know she was raised by great people.
I appreciate that the adoptive parents are supportive of her finding her biological family. As an adoptive parent it’s really hard to think about my kids birth parents who lost them under horrible circumstances. We have to respect that our kids may want to get answers and reach out to their birth parents. We have to have respect for the whole process because we love our kids.
Unfortunately, the birth mom is probably really worried about criminal charges coming her way if she gets discovered, so it’s not surprising to me that she was in denial about leaving her daughter at the doorstep of a strangers apartment! Thank God it was a decent stranger that called the cops and she ended up getting adopted by awesome parents.. especially her mom! I love how supportive she was about her daughter finding her birth parents! It’s a lot of adoptive parents’ worst nightmare to face the whole “finding my real parents” issue. She handled it beautifully
who knows who is on the other side of the door or if they'll even open it. they have baby safe havens in police depts and fire stations. this is child abuse.
I was adopted. Jamaican like this girls mom. I always knew. I was told it was a great act of love on the part of my birth mother. I never felt empty, only loved by my family. Certainly, I wouldn't have searched for anyone who had abandoned me on a doorstep. But to each his own and each story is personal.
She was left on the right doorsteps. God does not make mistakes. Such a lovely young lady and such marvelous adopted parents.(think I heard a jamaican accent from the adopted mom).
Stuff like this is why I keep going as a mother no matter how much I ever want to break down or give up because I would never forgive myself if I made my daughter feels that way. Just give that woman answers she deserves that much
So happy for you Aniya! I have been searching for my birth father and two older brothers for 35 years, so far no luck but your story inspires me to keep searching.
I was adopted at birth, and now I regret ever meeting my biological family. I should have never allowed those doors to open up, I should have just stayed with my adopted family. The ones that loved ND raised me. If I could change time, I would tell my younger self that it isn't worth losing the family that you have.
I’m so touched by your story. In spite of being abandoned by your birth parents, you have become a strong, independent, and beautiful person. And by the big smile on your sons face, it’s obvious you’re a wonderful mother. So glad to hear so many of your related family members are stepping up to welcome you into their circle. And your “true” mom and dad are the parents that chose you and raised such a wonderful daughter. Many blessings to you and your son.
She looks just like she did as a baby. Very beautiful woman. So sorry for the pain she still carries. When I was pregnant i thought about doing the same thing because I was terrified and feeling like I was incapable of being a good mom. Luckily I kept her. She's 2 months now and growing beautifully

Prayers for all of you that helped this baby grow up into a beautiful worthy woman full of love to share. ❤
I was adopted at birth. I never got a chance to talk to my birth parents. I totally understand your questions. My DNA test didn't help with my situation. When I was 15, I got pregnant, and my husband and I were forced /threatened by my adoptive mom, and our son was adopted at birth, too. We are now reunited, so don't ever give up looking for the answers you need and deserve to have. My husband and I have been together since I was 15. We have 3 full blooded children. I'm so happy that your adoptive mom is so supportive. My son's adoptive parents are not supportive at all. It's heartbreaking for our son and our daughters. We are rebuilding our family the best we can. It was an amazing day when I was able to hold him for the very first time after 35yrs. Definitely allow yourself to feel everything. Enjoy your extended families. They all love you. Good luck!!!
The adopted mother sounds Jamaican ❤️🇯🇲...my love, you are in great hands. Such a grounded, strict, pure, wholesome, loving Jamaican mums. The absolute best, happy that you were taken care of and that you got to reunite with your extended family👌
I am happy she has found a sense of peace about who she is, and her adoptive parents appear to be great people. I hope they each find forgiveness & grace through their continued familial processes, it can't be easy for any of them. Humans can make awful decisions especially early in life; being teenagers who knows what their own lives were missing or like. Thank goodness someone found her in time. Had a mentee who was abandoned in the garbage as a newborn; took years of real work to overcome the trauma from such an abandonment. 🥺 Such stories can emphasize the maternal while the existence of the paternal is equally crucial to healing. Having myself been raised by an orphaned Father who lost both his parents early in life, he was the most significant influence in my own life. Hopefully young people in similar situations find that there are acceptable ways to be responsible even though they themselves are overwhelmed. 🖤
I am so glad this babygirl found the answers she was searching for. May God bless her and all of her family, and bring hope and healing upon them. May the fruits of her search bring a bounty of love and peace, and open up her life to more than she ever dreamed of. May her table always be full, and may she always prosper. God bless them all! God bless all of you too! Peace!

What a lovely young woman. I'm so glad that she was raised by her adopted parents. She's obviously loved deeply by them and I'm glad she got the answers she needed.
I have empathy for her...I also have respect for her birth parent or parents because they "LOVED" her enough to leave her where she could be found!!! A "GOOD" or "GREAT" PARENT is knowing when you "NEED HELP"!!! I HOPE THE YOUNG LADY COILD FORGIVE THEM!!!
“I am not what happened to me. I am who I choose to become” I heard this quote many years ago. It applies to all of us. In this situation I can certainly understand this young lady. My biological mother did the same. This lady and so many of us adopted children have one thing in common. Love. I hope she finds her truth, as her adopted parents found their truth when the chose to claim her as their own. When it all comes down to it, nothing is stronger than love.
I hate how people never understand how adoptees feel about the deep need to know their origins. I see in the comments how she should love her adoptive parents. Who said she doesn't? She can love her adoptive parents AND love her biological parents and extended family. I'm glad her search has ended and her biological family has been welcoming to her.
That's why many people don't adopt. It is ungrateful situation If your mother didn't want you, why look for her. I am.hapoy when the woman who gives them birth doesn't welcome them. I feel so disappointed that she is calling her mother. She doesn't deserve that title. I called those type of women surrogates
I love her mama. Both of them. One that gave her up ended up giving a gift to a mama that needed it❤ and what a good mama she has seemed to be. God Bless all of them.
Her biological mother did the best she could. She wanted to give her child a chance she knew she couldn’t give her. It seems like the adoptive mother is a wonderful lady, so this was indeed a blessing to and for her.
No. They have safe harbor locations just for this purpose. Those places existed when she was born. The mother left that baby on a cold apartment doorstep in January after midnight. The infant wasn't found until like 3am. If the biological mother loved her baby she wouldn't have hid her pregnancy from her family and abandoned her baby hours later. 18 year olds were having babies in 1992, it wasn't a huge taboo then. I mean an apartment complex? You can walk into any hospital or fire department and surrender a child newborn to two years old. I agree with you that she hit the adoptive parents jackpot however. This young lady deserves so much more than the sad lonely start, her life began on a doorstep.
Wow what a wonderful story I’m gonna have to try that. I was adopted and I’m almost 40 and all I have is very little info about my mom. But thank you for posting this you give women and men hope to finding there parents. God bless you 😊

My mother found her brother who was adopted and never knew he has any family. MY uncle found his birth father ,sister and nieces and nephews after that phone call. Ancestry really works and I am so happy that more people are closing chapters in their life because of it.
I can very much see why they left her there- I mean they were young and I’m sure they were scared- but she set out on her own to find them regardless of what they did- shows you someone with a true heart- I’m sure she’ll definitely want to meet her father and the rest of the family- her birth mother though is questionable since she denied abandoning her when she did. God bless this beautiful soul and her family.
May God bless her adoptive parents for loving her unconditionally and raising her well. I could hear that strong Jamaican accent when her adoptive mom spoke. Love knows no boundaries.

It might be hard for your mother to admit she left you but having the courage to leave you somewhere she knew you get help( IS A ACT OF LOVE! ) There is no why, she obviously felt like she couldn’t give you any kind of a decent up bringing, she had the enough LOVE to know you were better off without her. You had loving adoptive parents, you found connections to real family. JUST LOVE EVERYONE INVOLVED, AND BE SURE YOU WERE LOVED SINCE THE DAY YOU WERE BORN!❤

@@kevincarpenter2525 👍
Birth control doesn't always work. Many things can interfere with it. Its not 100% effective ever
Look how the mom dressed her up and grew her into a fine person! Go mommy!!!!! 🎉 - her biological family, that 30 year hug is so warming 🤗 ❤
She was an absolute gorgeous baby who grew into a very beautiful woman. This is heartbreaking
It is it’s so sad
It maybe heartbreaking but God saved her and her story wasn’t like it began.
Agreed, she was an absolute angel as a baby 🥹
@@jennimontalvan I do agree. I could see why her parents fell in love with her.
I went through HELL to find my birth mother..then HELL after finding her, she did not even like me or want me as an adult..but then, I realized how much my adoptive mom is my REAL MOM..this lady in the video, her adoptive mom is her REAL mom..
This happened to a friend. She realized she would have had an alcoholic drug- addicted mother if she hadn’t been adopted by her wonderful family.
This is how it was when I found my bestfriend bio family for her.
@@LilyGazou yes exactly this!!!! It reaffirms that the right choices were made though !!
Why do fathers get a free pass?
This is how I fear it will be with my kid's dad. He left when they were babies, never cared for them, threatened us if I ever went after him for child support.. lived near poverty as a single mom to 2 kids and no financial help. My son always asks about his dad. I told him that he's mean and will probably never agree to have a relationship with him. I know in my heart, he'll just break my kid's hearts all over again. I understand their desire to know their dad, I would too if I were them. Just wish they could forget about his existence so he can't hurt us all over again.
Her mom is such a good woman, the way she speaks of her daughter. So happy she ended up with the adoptive parents the has.
Bless this woman’s adoptive parents, they raised an amazing person!
I'm glad she found them. I had two miscarriages in my 30's. My husband and I eventually divorced. Now heading into my 70's single and childless, I cry not having had a chance to meet my children. I wish the very best to this young woman and her son.
I'm so so sorry. My heart goes out to you. Your 2 sweet babies are in heaven waiting for you one sweet day!
I'm so sorry ❤
Probably you should have adopted a child by yourself. Sorry about your miscarriages.
As much as possible, I know how you feel, and my heart aches for you.
Why not adopt?
Sometimes, so-called family/blood relatives can be your worst nightmare. I'm glad she was adopted by a loving couple.
The uncle's seem more accepting and excited than the mother and father..
Guilt feelings from the parents probably are a barrier .
Probably Shame
What is the name of the book?

How did you find him?
@Starr Kelsey An internet search that I paid for and executed myself. The search rendered his address, phone number, and an aerial view of the home he was living in, which was kind of scary. I opted to write to him and he actually called me when he received my letter.
That “I plan on giving her a thirty year hug “ made me smile. How sweet.
Agreed. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Amen.
Yes amen
Looks like she was a lot better off with her new parents. They seem loving and nice
I'm adopted and I am more grateful for my adoptive family more than questions for my birth parents honestly. But I do understand her desire for information.
Same here! My adoptive mother, the only mother I've known passed away 2 years now and now I would like to find my biological parents.
What a wonderful mother, who raised you, and look at that wonderful son, you are so blessed
So thankful for a great ending to her story. God Bless her Adoptive Parents for taking her & giving her a loving home.

Ma Caribbean mommaaaaa❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ you did a good Job raising her😭😭😭
So moved by the adoptive mother and her infinite love for her daughter. When she speaks of her daughter the pure unconditional love is undeniable.
Her birth mother probably has a lot of guilty. Maybe she can't give the answers as to why she abandoned her.
I would think the statute of limitations would be far gone by now.
She also could've died
I don't think the mom can face the truth.
who knows who is on the other side of the door or if they'll even open it. they have baby safe havens in police depts and fire stations. this is child abuse.
Her parents are the ones who raised her, period! Thank God for them! 🙏🏻
Just give that woman answers she deserves that much
Kudos to the parents who raised her and gave her love so amazing❤
The uncle and the adoptive parents are truly wonderful! May God bless them for being so loving and kind. My heart goes out to this young woman.
She's blessed to have had a good childhood and such loving, supportive adoptive parents.
Why did you lose your adoptive family?
I’m so touched by your story. In spite of being abandoned by your birth parents, you have become a strong, independent, and beautiful person. And by the big smile on your sons face, it’s obvious you’re a wonderful mother. So glad to hear so many of your related family members are stepping up to welcome you into their circle. And your “true” mom and dad are the parents that chose you and raised such a wonderful daughter. Many blessings to you and your son.
She was so fortunate to have parents that see her as their own. I hope she finds the answers she seeks.
She looks just like she did as a baby. Very beautiful woman. So sorry for the pain she still carries. When I was pregnant i thought about doing the same thing because I was terrified and feeling like I was incapable of being a good mom. Luckily I kept her. She's 2 months now and growing beautifully

I was abandoned in a Sears store in 1963. I love my adopted family but I want to find my birth family. I did Ancestry too and have found distant cousins but no one knows who could be my birth mother. Indeed, that was first thought, Jamaican.
A Jamaican adoptive mama, thank you for loving her.
I knew she sounded Jamaican 🇯🇲
I am happy she has found a sense of peace about who she is, and her adoptive parents appear to be great people. I hope they each find forgiveness & grace through their continued familial processes, it can't be easy for any of them. Humans can make awful decisions especially early in life; being teenagers who knows what their own lives were missing or like. Thank goodness someone found her in time. Had a mentee who was abandoned in the garbage as a newborn; took years of real work to overcome the trauma from such an abandonment. 🥺
Such stories can emphasize the maternal while the existence of the paternal is equally crucial to healing. Having myself been raised by an orphaned Father who lost both his parents early in life, he was the most significant influence in my own life. Hopefully young people in similar situations find that there are acceptable ways to be responsible even though they themselves are overwhelmed. 🖤
If you let the Leah Lipps phenotype suck you up you will become aware.
I am so glad this babygirl found the answers she was searching for. May God bless her and all of her family, and bring hope and healing upon them. “I am not what happened to me. I am who I choose to become”
I heard this quote many years ago.
If you know you know !! ( I was abandoned at 4 days old)
Bravo!! I agree!!
Extended biological family.
That's why many people don't adopt. It is ungrateful situation
If your mother didn't want you, why look for her. I am.hapoy when the woman who gives them birth doesn't welcome them. I feel so disappointed that she is calling her mother. She doesn't deserve that title. I called those type of women surrogates
@travelerawakenings8477 People with your mindset shouldn't adopt anyway so no loss there.
Her birth parents trash ‼️ after 30 yrs you still want no contact. She didn’t give a dam bout tht baby

I am so glad that she was able to find her birth parents. I found my brother on Facebook and that was the best day of my life.
