"Built me a little ol' car" is the understatement of the week lol
Haha Jimmy is a cool cat. I think somewhere between that and "just a hot street car" has to be understatement of the month even.
That good ol boy isn't afraid to let that engine sing! Like how he doesn't back out when it gets outta shape either! Would love to see more!
Now THAT'S a BADDASS 'Stang !!! And he ain't no slouch on that stick either, HELLUVA FINE JOB 👍👍

That was real racing back in my day.
I'm a MOPAR 60s super stock race fan and sure miss those days.

Love those old Stangs. My 65 coupe is sporting a 408 with 2-3572 turbos going through a TBI. I run a slushbox and hopefully this season it will stay together. Have a 65 FB in the works. Thinking of using my Mark VIII donor 4.6-32 valve. Snake Bite really rocks. Love it.

The original car was a coupe did he crashed that car or did he put a Fastback roof on the coupe
I spoke with him in 2018 at the Lyons IN race. They converted it into a fastback using a donor car roof. I don’t recall any mention of a wreck. I believe it was just because that’s what he wanted.
There is a possibility that I once owned this car back in the '70s
Seriously. I had an original '66 GT350 that I raced as a superstock in the 70's. I eventually sold it (stupid mistake). Your car has the original shelby gas cap and it looks like the original wood steering wheel as well as the side scoops and clear quarter windows. After seeing the front of your car I don't believe it is mine. My car did not have the same front-end treatment seen on your car.
This was a coupe originally. It was converted to a fastback with a rusted donor car. Was never an original GT350.
Neat, but never enough information about the engine or trans.
Stroked small block Ford to 427ci. And a high tower 4 speed manual if I recall.
I meant too cool!
Bad to the Bone 🔧🚗🐎🚦🏁💯🇺🇸💪
I've got a 66 mustang coupe,i really want to build a gasser out of it,but I've never built a gass class car,if anyone knows anyone who could help or a forum i could get involved with please let me know, there aren't alot of cars to look at and get ideas around here so any help would be appreciated.
What's the ET?
Snake Bite runs 5.4's in the 1/8th mile. Very quick car in the realm of Naturally aspirated Stick shift cars.
