I’ve been lucky to come across your channel at the right time, have made a few of you’re same projects, your plans are easy to follow, haven’t had any difficulties, people cannot believe I’ve made them and think I’ve bought at a high end store. THANK YOU! 🥰
Drills are very common to use in woodworking for drilling & screwing because of the torque configuration (the numbers past the chuck that 90% of people don’t ever care for) & speed of the drill for various tasks Impact drivers are usually ever seen by 2 kinds of people: 1. People that can’t be bothered to learn how to use a drill for more than just a hole maker 2. People who complain about the Drill being heavier than an impact All jokes aside, it’s definitely much quicker sliding in a bit onto an impact vs a drill so I can understand why some prefer one over the other 😂🍺
It's good to see you again, Ana. I love this chair. It's a simple project, an inexpensive project and a beginner with just a few tools can build it. Thanks for sharing it with us.
The thing with all these projects is it costs a lot more money than 5 2x4’s. While the structure and design is great and cheap. The tools required, additional pieces like cushions stains etc all really add up. So not as cheap as you might think but still pretty good
I just did my first pocket hole project with the Kreg system over the 4th. Made a frame for an old tub sink as a mess sink by the garden hose outside. Turned out great, they're easy and strong! 😊
Cool as it is that you can see outside the box and be creative ,if we are being honest if a man turned that out it would be ripped apart by all the you tube experts.
2x4s locally are $25 each, so just 5- 2x4s = $125, ouch! An most everyone just screws material together, but in rainy NW, outdoor glue an screws best. So chairs don't start squeaking an coming apart with use!
I'm sorry there isn't, but I do have free step by step plans on the site and if you need additional assistance, we are available at anawhitesite@gmail.com Plan link www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/wood-outdoor-chair-deep-seat-cushion
Great chairs, I would love to try this. I like to sit and relax with my feet elevated, do you have a plan/video for matching foot stools? If the same height, could be butted up to the chair and used as a lounge chair. 🙂
Five 2x4s plus the foam, material and making the cushions, unless you make the chairs to fit the cushions. They look shit to be fair, I picked up 2 wooden ones with cushions in Home Bargains in the UK for £30......I’ll stick with that.
Can you put shorts on a separate RUclips channel so they can be addionally be subscribed to by those who do not mind them? Because shorts sadly spam the subscription feed where they push back regular videos that have more time and effort put into. They aren't a good trend and belong to TikTok.
I just love how some people are so creative. I prefer working with metal as I'm a retired welder. I just wish the young generation would put down their electronics and do stuff like this.
You only have enough money left over for five 2x4’s after you buy a Festool Kapex
So, get a drill press, and set it up to make your own pocket hole jig. For work like this precision is not necessary
Used 2x4's!
Don’t forget the saw stop in there 😭
so true 😂
Couldn't afford a nice blade in there
That back rest pillow gonna be slipping out alot make it 6 -2×4
I was thinking the same thing. If it don't work without the cushion, it won't work with the cushion.
Need that 6th 2x4
And 100 screws!
First time I've ever seen someone use a festool saw with Ryobi drills 🤯
Legit came to the comments just because i knew this would be said😂
Seriously? What difference does it make? I use a combination of tools with other brands.. None are totally superior to the rest. 😁
@@bighammer587 it doesn't matter, but anyone who buys festool products generally has a pretty expensive taste to be using bottom of the barrel home owner drills.
I gotta say I follow a lot of woodworking channels and you definitely come up with lots great projects for people with limited money and experience..

I just don't understand how you have a festool... and using ryobi. It's mind blowing the difference in quality.
How did they make cushions from 2x4's?
Do not question... you fajita
Do you really have a festool mitersaw and ryobi drills 🤭
What kind of man child still cares about tool brands this much lmao. 20 bucks you have serious arguments about truck brands too.

Lol most expensive miter saw made and cheapest drills made...

Wonderful, that's what it's all about!
Would be nice to skip some of the screws in favor of a cross lap. Would take more time, but be handsome, functional, and strong.
How are you rockin a festool miter saw but finish it up with a ryobi drill??
I love how you use a drill instead of the impact ☺️
Drills are very common to use in woodworking for drilling & screwing because of the torque configuration (the numbers past the chuck that 90% of people don’t ever care for) & speed of the drill for various tasks

Great design. But how long were your boards?
You'll need five 8' boards for this plan. Thanks for the visit!
There isn’t any sound.
Owns a Festool kapex, but not an impact driver. Hmmmmm… 🤔
She had a Ryobi impact look again
A few more back supports maybe ?
So far this is working fine for us, you could also do an x back for additional support. Thanks for the visit!
You could also try to add some webbing in the back? Like mesh… it doesn’t really need the full wood beam there.
Light wieght baby! Lol
Anyone else notice no sound? 😅
Only person I've ever seen with a kapex miter saw and Ryobi drill
Cool. Nice job. Round up the front of elbow rests and put a nice finish on it and you got a nice pair of porch chairs!
Thanks 👍
Exactly how long were the 5 2x4's?
The plan is for five 8' 2x4's.
@@AnaWhiteDIY roger that.
Better set very gingerly

Festool and ryobi. Anyone watching seeing a lady with festool avting like she’s winging it. I don’t think so

Great job! Low slung and wide. Like they were built just for me! Excellent arm width for resting adult beverages on too! Lol

If that’s not pressure treated wood. You should put something on it to seal it before it rots.

What a fun looking project. I have 5 and a half 2x4's that finally have a purpose this weekend

5 2x4s, and $150 in cushions...so, $1000?
Could you revise it with a more substantial back?
Not a great judge of size, but guessing these arent 8' 2x4, perhaps 10's?
These are repurposed for us, but the plan only needs five 8' 2x4's. Thanks for the visit!
Festool miter saw but a Ryobi drill?
Maybe sand those corners/edges?
How fucken long is 1 2x4?
I was gonna say thats not 5 pieces. Then I realized five full 2 bys

5 degrees, full plans here www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/wood-outdoor-chair-deep-seat-cushion
Good idea but you should never make a fram from screwing in the end of the board it's the weakest pocket hols would make much stronger
Awow
😂😂😂
❤
You made this, with 5 2x4s
Yes the free plan is for five 8' 2x4's www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/wood-outdoor-chair-deep-seat-cushion
Only five twenty footers!
We used repurposed lumber, which were longer, but the plan only calls for five, 8' 2x4's. Thanks for the visit!
Ironically I dismantled three of these a few days ago. They were dry rotted and falling apart be sure to use treated wood.
Festool saw and Ryobi impact? What kind of black magic is that!
Running screws into endgrain with no pilot holes is a bad idea.
Call it a butt joint because that’s where you’ll be feeling sore after it breaks

You know 5 , 2x4 cost $50 bux
They're only about $3-5 a piece here. So $15-$25 total
You need to router or sand, to soften the square edges, but otherwise great work.
Looks like my college furniture collection

2x4x20 ????

I love the chairs but with my bad knees I need them just a bit taller. So I'd probably need a couple more pieces of wood, lol.
It’s easy to just make the legs a little longer! But I did test a longer leg and I’m 5’3 and my feet didn’t sit on the floor with the cushion…
Yes and did you know that three right turns actually make a left turn

Do you know that the cushions for the chairs are WAY more expensive than the chair itself? Lol.
