I love that he filled his homes with what he loved . Also the symmetry in his design, which is very comfortable to my eye.
My aunts motto which I now use is buy the best you can afford, don’t purchase junk to fill your home.

On a study tour of Europe, (1969) when in Paris our tour guide invited me to a Givenchy fashion show. I politely declined. I am still kicking myself for that decision!☺️

Hideous sense of wall décor, paintings.. Barbaric
He was encouraged and partially financed by Cristobal Balenciaga who supported and adviced him despite being his competition. Balenciaga gave most of his earning away to the poor and when I see the horror that has been done to hic iconic label today it is beyond belief. I started in fashion in the early 70's thanks to Balenciaga but it's the last house I would work for today.
