You can take over a fashion house, but you can never replicate a unique creative brain.
The music is vulgar and distracting
No, although, some Baroque Classical Music would be better.
LEGEND YSL FOREVER 💗💫❤️🔥
YSL the best shoes!!! So comfortable!!!
Not for men! I love them but they absolutely kill me lol
YSL was certainly a genius. But Christian Dior's "new look" was also revolutionary.
Great documentary
He was very handsome 😢❤
Wonderful.
Sorry but you don’t know how to talk about Fashion ---
TURN OFF THE ANNOYING BACKGROUND MUSIC‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️😱🤢😡🤬
And then it was "Opium".
No parfume beats that one !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The original Opium ❤️❤️❤️
@virginiamorales1591
Oh but of course !!!
The authentic first one was completely addictive and so mysteriously rich !
The newer versions are just a "hard try"...
Not at par at all.!
Givenchy perfume the best. And Dior Fashion the original gorgeous.
The narrator says of Yves Saint Laurent, "His sensitive character drowned him in the depths of depression. " Video minute 1:56. Anyone would be sensitive to torture. That is why torture is against the law. Torture ruins our lives, destroys entire cities, breaks up families and hurts innocent people. Yves is a victim of the devil, and is a Saint.
Yves Saint Laurent had many firsts, including merging gender, painting, and culture. His influence continues today: witness Cillian Murphy's loose suit and tie at the 2024 Oscars.
Sue ?
Employers ?
How could employees who no longer work be either your employer or any business ?
It does not imply that employer can do whatever they wish without checking mailing address ?
La Music est Tellement IRRITANTES que nous devons interrompre le Visionnage
had to stop. The pronunciation is just too bad. Dear lord.
Terrible pronounce of French Names and Words.. Just terrible.
The fur used in his collections, I find appalling. Fur is inappropriate anywhere.😡😠😠 What was he thinking ? How gauche to use fur in fashion, positively inappropriate.👿👿
Is the incessant and irritating 'club' music really necessary?
Should be slower, sleeker
whiner
The music is too annoying:((
the music is annoying, can not watch this anymore
Darling, when you make a program on somebody or something French, pls check your pronunciations!!!! They are most of the time completely wrong or horrible.
the background music is giving me headaches .. not relaxing to watch :(
Exactly ... terrible!
A G R E E ! ! !
It is pretty awful. The documentary was great but unsure why they didn't take the same care with the music.
I completely agree
Too bad, I need to stop watching.
Couldn't they find a better narrator...someone with a more cultured voice and who could properly pronounce French names and words?
That's AI...
No wonder - agree. Funny, we want chic. 😅. Cheers💕
exactly…. Paris Match … horrible .. Yves Saint Laurent, terrible..
Obviously a genius of fashion. So creative, versatile, ahead of his time, innovative. An amazing artist. Opening up the world of fashion to everyone in an amazing revolution. He was a masterpiece. He is fashion at it's best, not some of the crazy "fashion" I see on today's runways, like people covered in "noodles", that is not fashion, it's lack of creativity and nonsense.
What a terrible loss to the whole wide world! He will NEVER a& EVER BE REPLACED by another now nor EVER! THANK GOD for the CREATION of Yves Saint Laura t! et vive la France
Your love gave me chills. Merci. 💕
Thats what. My relative female friend
ssid about my husbsnd . She screamed " why did god take such a brilliant man " math and computer science" I was shocked. Ok. This id parallel to YSL didn't even knew he died at such young age? Wow.
..
...😮
YSL the Legendary!!! YSL FOREVER #SALUTE 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
My personal favorite designer of all time🦓❤❤❤
Love the man.
LOOOOVED HIS CLOTHING BUT HE WWAS DESTORYED FROM THE INTENSE PRESSURE. HE WAS DRUG ADDICT PAR NONE!
I am a sewing expert, collector, and author. I improved my tailoring by studying YSL's HC and RTW suits. I am fascinated by the thimble at 3.02. I've never seen one like it. Would you share your source? Thank you.
Wow. You have a good eye. I was looking at the thread and missed the thimble. It cool. I wonder if that little clip really holds onto the needle.
....one of the things that moved me MOST...in the world of HAUTE COUTURE....was that GIORGIO ARMANI....said HE learned to DRAW...COPYING THE SKETCHES OF YVES SAINT LAURENT...and he was NOT ASHAMED to SAY IT...
Just classic equalitarian and beautiful always❤❤❤❤❤
I was introduced to YSL back in 1978. I've loved him, his fashion, perfume every since for myself.
I then introduced my future boyfriend, then my husband to YSL suits.
My husband was tall and thin like YSL. I remember going shopping with him for men suits. They were the only ones that fitted him well.
I actually loved all the designers who are on here.
Its chaotic at best.. the years are scrambled back and forth and not in order u will easily lost if ur not attentive. The background music adds to the chaos
YSL was my first high end item & fragrance and life has never the same... I will always love u and thank you...
I Loved learning about the work of this famous fashion designer, but it was a Terrible Strain to stay interested with the VULGAR MUSIC accompanying it!!
My favorite fashion designer. My first perfume was Opium. I still love it. ❤
I still use it too ❤
It was Yves's perfumes I loved: Rive Gauche in the 70s and Paris in the 80s-90s. BUT this doc was irritating for several reasons.
Rive gauche qas orchestrated to copy , compete with Chanel 5.
@@sarahfrench4823 That's odd bc I never liked Chanel 5.
🎼 is the reason. And too fast.
The most music just ruins this!
Everyone wants chic. AI did’t know the audience. 😅
Simply wonderful❤
Do you forgot Coco Chanel?
She was brilliant- she started with nothing but talent ; she would be turning in her grave looking at what they have to her label..
Really disturbing when genuises of this level we see in YSL and Christian Dior leave behind no direct heir or heiress to continue their work and keep their legacies. Their transitions mark a vacuum in the haute-couture world. YSL came, saw and conquerred. Adieu!
Sorry, background, music is quite ok. Thanks.
Considering he grew up in Algeria, I can understand his refusal to fight in the war.
BRAVO !
Unfortunately, there are no more brilliant masters of absolute elegance in fashion today. Very sad. Everything is dictated and tasteless things are sold as fantastic. YSL, like Dior, Givenchy or Lagerfeld, no longer exists.
I have a blouse I found 40 years ago in a thrift store. It is dark green silk with logo! STILL wearable (after I lost weight after illness). 😅💕
Elegance is timeless! Such a pleasure with your „new“ blouse!!!
It is "couturier " not "courtier"
Can you even imagine doing all that? I can’t.
For a designer that adored Bach, horrible music
What a wonderful documentary. The quick edits give the fashion changes a chance to leap out at you in color, texture, and movement. I learned so much and totally enjoyed this doc!
🙄 Not styles its hideous
Uh-OH ---- mispronouncing 'Delacroix' as 'DelaCROY' -------- no one gave a proper briefing to the person doing the voice over --- makes one cringe!!!
Not a bad doc but is this AI or something? The butchering of names is astounding for a public forum.. Proust pronounced as Prowst? The artist Leger pronounced as Laygar? It goes on and on. Strictly a CRINGE-FEST of mispronunciation. Inexcusable.
You have many years wrong...for example Albert Elbaz was hired to design the Rive Gauche line after Gucci had bought the house and Monsieur Saint Laurent continued the Haute Couture collections until his retirement in 2002 which was also the end of the Haute Couture collections.
He was the reason I began to learn to sew... He had a 1967 collection that everyone copied two years later. He did costuming for one of my favorite Moliere plays but his clothes were incredible. If. you're lucky enough to find a piece he did prior to his retirement/death, grab it; it would be a heck of a financial investment.
but he can't sew.

French pronunciation needs a lot of work!
What's going on with the broken record ?? No.
Clark Brenda Perez Donna Lopez Scott
Learn how to pronounce names like Delacroix etc
The music is awful could not watch the whole thing
Excellent video recording.
🌹🌹🌹❤
My first perfume was YSL.
Prejudice
Religion prejudiced
Education prejudiced
Men are too ambitious for .....scaterring .....
YSL... creator of happiness in the fashion industry was his distinctivess and competitive edge!!!
Great video 😮
Loved his design since I was small and now hunting the vintage I can afford ❤️❤️❤️❤️
is he beki?
Love my baby - genius! Always in my heart, always. 💕
❤❤❤❤❤❤
icon.
Very informative thanks 😊
It's all fake....where is he now.....
The most influential designer? Uh, no. That title goes to Coco Chanel. He was amazing but hardly the greatest. Please!
He was the greatest
The greatest designer ❤
While YSL was without a doubt extremely influential - Madame Chanel was the MOST influential overall....
Not Madame! Mademoiselle.
@@FredericKahlerYSL is more influential he created more styles than any other including Chanel
Very informative and interesting documentary about famous fashion designer yves Saint laurent. Thanks for sharing 🙏👌💐🌸🌹
Beautifully made documentary! Thank you for sharing!
❤❤❤
Excellent video.
I love the way you review this place. Very honest. ❤ but I still think I would skip couple of those lunches and have a weekend in Greece would be better! 😂
👌🌟
What
Coke ?
The most influential was a woman, her name CHANEL
Love his work! Clearly a fashion genius. I do find it ironic however, that while he wanted to “free” women’s bodies with stunning clothing, we were forever left bound to the “ideal” that our bodies had to look like a 15yr old boy’s in order to be “beautiful”. Women have been starving themselves ever since.
Gay man beauty ideal. Thankfully an idea since departed
