Such a PITA job. Its known as the steering KNUCKLE on the forums. Good job replacing the hub too even though you went with a duralast and used a national bearing. Yuck. Great video though!
yup replacing the press in ones suck , and yes they can be referred to as the knuckle also, these brand parts work just fine for a well used daily on a budget thanks for watching
Christopher Bassit yes and no this is a light caliper if the hose/line can’t handle this it needs replacement, with a larger caliper like on a truck support it. I’ve had a bunch of comments on this subject and try to support them now when filming.
Good video, but two quick things. Don't let you caliper hang like that, it's better off to grab a wire shirt hanger and keep pressure off the brake line. Second thing... the castle nut need that cotter pin back in it, at end of video it in not reinstalled. On that topic, it has bothered me forever that the castle nut goes so far in that the grooves are PAST the actual cotter pin hole. It's ridiculous. Otherwise, solid quick video. And thank you for telling people to take their wheel bearing to get pressed professionally. There is no quick fix, just do what he says or you will be buying another wheel bearing!
yes don't let your calipers hang, these are small if the hose cant take it hanging you need a new hose, I'm with you on the castle nut some replacement axles come with a nylon locking nut now too but since this video I now have a press and a have done so many I can do them in my sleep. thanks for watching and for the informative comment.
Nice video. Thanks for explaining the hub piece as well. I wondered why I would want to spend a bit more for the set and now I know. THX!!
thanks, I got a press now and made a video doing the install check it out...
Good video
excelente super gracias bro...
Forgot to put the pin back on the castle nut. But great video.

Hanging the caliper by the brake line. Seems good to me

Why when i do this the steering knuckle always comes down on my axle boot???
Richard Banks jack up both sides of the car evenly it will help and/or unbolt the end links it will let the control arm drop down
Oooooooo makes total sense lol thanks much
